New Hiking Shoes for the Trail Ahead
The road goes ever on and on…
-J.R.R. Tolkien
While I was looking for something else I found
A pair of hiking shoes still in their box
From a year ago – in anticipation
Of a summer vacation that never was
And there was no holiday again this year
It was all coronavirus and hurricanes
I had forgotten those shoes, but here they are
All ready for some sunlit summer road
While I was looking for something else I found
A pair of hiking shoes, and a bit of hope

Hi my name is Briano alliano and welcome the Jupiter early Christmas party
And the first song is this
Santa Claus came through the computers
Through the computers
Through the computers
Santa Claus came through the computers
Every Christmas Eve night
He will drop presents down cyber space
Cyber space oh cyber space
Making Johnny and frank and tommy and Ryan and many more kids to count
Santa Claus came through the computers
Through the computers
Through the computers
Santa Claus came through the computers
Briany is a cool boy
Who is trying to be good
But nowadays it is harder to go down chimneys because nobody has one no more
But how about sending Santa’s sleigh
Down through cyber space
And and and send
Santa Claus through the computer
Through the computer
Through the computer
Santa Claus came through your computer
Each and every year
Cause daddy has a brand new computer
Just for you this year
Yes daddy gave me a brand new computer
For everybody to see this year
And now here is my funny jingle bells 2020
Dashing through the year
Was the covid 19
Yes the coronavirus has been making
Everybody sick
Victoria copped it bad
And footy started and finished late
I was unhappy that Richmond and storm won but at least Christmas will be cool
Jingle bells jingle bells
Party on at home
Covid 19 is keeping all the people from having fun yeah
Jingle bells jingle bells
Please find a vaccine
So we can go out and party again
Without worrying about touching
You see when you take the kids
To see good ole Santa Claus
You have to book online
And social distancing
So what you have to do
Is stand back and say to Santa
I want a book and a toy to play with
And then get our photo taken
Jingle bells jingle bells
Santa still will come
Covid 19 is really bad
But it doesn’t spoil the hype
Jingle bells party on
At home to be safe
Singing Christmas carols on YouTube mate
Party party party yeah
That was covid jingle bells and now here is
We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
We wish you a merry Christmas
In these covid 19 times
The party will still be on
No matter what is on
We wish you a merry Christmas
In the covid 19 year
Party on dudes
Thanks and I will see ya next time

I wanna go to bed my love
Into bed to cuddle my teddy
Having fun in my dreams
In my bed cuddling my teddy
Having a methane smoothie
With my dad in a bar on Saturn
Having fun getting ******
Enjoying life oh yeah
I wanna go to bed my love
Ready to cuddle my teddy
Yes indeed it will be fun
To hop in my bed with my teddy
You can’t party in clubs on earth
Because of the coronavirus
So you go to bed cuddle your teddy bear and dream about partying in the cosmos yeah
Drinking methane smoothies and eating cosmic burgers
Asking Athena where is the vaccine
Because it is only that I take psychotic medication
That I could go to bed to cuddle my teddy
You can still have concerts
In your computer room
And I have poem reading
Yes that is great and I cuddle my teddy
But when it is time to hop off to bed
And get under your doona
And cuddle your teddy
Teddies are cute
And loving life is what I do
When I go to bed to party in the cosmos
The way my party can be great
Is hop in bed with your teddy
Occasionally my dreams feature death
And I need to suddenly wake up to cuddle my teddy
Instead of causing problems on the street they should party at home
In front of their computer or in the cosmos
And when my earth body is tired I
Go to bed and really oh yeah cuddle my teddy and party in the cosmos
Having a lot of fun
PARTY ON DUDES

my shelter,
*two arms,
a human lean-to,
a pup tent,
all with a
welcome mat,
for you,
await
with graceful patience
simpatico smiling,
always avail,
awaiting,
no life clock countdown
prematurely pushing,
come when
there is
no other place
all,
on offer,
shelter places
that become
your home,
if you so
honor them thus,
your choice,
your decision
when to come n' go
shelter you,
no questions asked,
cloak all with human warmth,
easy silences, no pressures*
for when my arms
bear your load,
now mine,
my load,
somehow
halved!

Tiger land we got the virus
You thought animals couldn’t get it
But a tiger got it and
He was from the Bronx zoo in New York
He got it from a zookeeper
Really that it is bad
That this tiger got the virus
We should watch out for his class
That this tiger could do more than
Bite if you annoy
To every girl and boy
He could give the virus to everybody around
And the tiger doesn’t have the knowledge to wash his hands
Like the humans do
But this tiger can spread the virus
To everybody here
If they touch body, nose and ear
Tigers can spread this virus
So how are we going to
Keep this tiger in isolation
He won’t perform on social media
Cause he is a cute tiger
And god knows if a tiger could get it
He could escape and do more than
Bite our *** to death
He could spread the virus for our deaths
I rhymed death with deaths
Who cares because a tiger has the virus
And hopefully they can keep this tiger
Safe and in quarantined forever and ever
Orange and black
Keep this tiger safe
Oh yeah

A gentle hug
Full of forever love
I'd hug you everyday if I could
But I miss our warm hugs
Coronavirus disease
Is here to stay
Our happiness gone away
Our warm hugs faded away
No more cuddles hugs kisses
But your not just anybody to hug
Your my true love
I love you so much
Every day
A world without hugs
It's truly sad
It's funny how a warm hug
Makes everyone feel so good
I can't even hold your hands
And gaze into your eyes
And fall in love
I need a hug so badly
Romance fading away
I missed your hugs all day
I would hug you everyday if I could sweetheart
I promise to hug you
With every beat of my heart
Because
I love you forever
My beautiful sweetheart.

Yet with the hype and madness about the Coronavirus
I open window and take a deep breath breath of icy Alaskan air
The glass wearing a frosty negligee
Leaving transparent area just large enough to get a small peek at the natural show of pale snowy scenery on the other side
Eerily quiet
There is a foreboding sensation about the vacant stadium
Lone songbird whistling simple serenades to a pre-apocalyptic invisible audience

what’s the difference tween ************ & writing poetry?
let us cut to the chase, cause I know how much-you
hate to be kept waiting, lest your addled, added,
impatient attention grow as big as the U.S. budget
deficit.
answer: not much
in fact, can’t come up with a single signal differentiation.
1. both require tissues when done
2. both give you short and sweet satisfaction, that is a renewable resource
3. serotonin levels up, up and away - yay!
4. long term impact for both is wrist pain
5. inevitably, makes you late for tedious life chores
6. doesn’t burn much calories, though you record it on your activity-tracker as “aerobic exercise”
7. one tends to exclaim “Oh **** when completed.
8. both master bait you (pun. get it?) who’s the master, who’s the bait?
9. are you bored already? Go forth and do either activity, (I know you’re getting hot)
10. both leave you satisfied but the urge to purge returns very quickly
11. tendency to lock the bathroom door for both, when “composing”
12. filed on your computer as introspection and mindfulness (that cracks me up)
13. gonna stop right here so you take your ADD meds
14. you love them both in no particular order
15. you cannot get coronavirus from either (sincerely hope not!)
16. your denials deserve a retort: so ***** you too!

For single, retired folk like me
Christmas and Bank Holidays are a bind.
Everything is closed,
No buses running,
Friends, like me, are staying home.
No pub for me today.
No squeezing through hordes
Of once a year drinkers
To get to the bar.
I’d rather enjoy my armchair
At home.
But the peace is pleasant,
A nice winter break.
Right now it’s all about
That baby in a manger
Being visited by three wise men.
I have a Christmas Dinner
Ready to microwave
And stocks of beer, whisky
Plus crisps
To keep me going.
Plenty of time to reflect
On another year gone
As seventy looms large for me.
Another year of Coronavirus Variants
As we work our way through
The Greek Alphabet.
Another year of stops and starts
Having to adapt
To whatever monster rears
Its ugly head.
I’ve kept playing table tennis
When the hall’s open
And walked to pub or café
When they’re not closed.
Doing well for a veteran
Can’t complain.
It’s peaceful at Christmas
That’s my refrain.

Trapped by a virus
But in the midst, I see Mom
And remember why were fine

My new novel
Is now available
On the online circle
Of Amazon Kindle
As a soft copy eBook
And as a traditional
Hard copy novel
It set it in beyond COVID19 days,
Read what I write as a PhD scholar.
I know that China modified it,
Naturally, CoV won't affect us so much.
China altered it in the Wuhan lab,
They made it a novel Coronavirus,
They called it nCoV19, ask why,
Because they engineered it in 2019.
My novel talks about it,
This sin is punished,
Not just by India,
But also by USA,
And everyone sane,
There happens WW3,
The Negative Axis powers are:
China, North Korea & Pakistan
Indian Army has HuSaVe's,
Human Safety Vehicles,
Robotic suits that the DRDO creates.
China copies them,
Removes the human part,
And makes GHOST's,
Global Human Omission Safety Transformers.
The story is built with a lot of action, some technology and a bit of romance,
A lot of red shades make the story, some blues for it and a bit of pink,
For writing it, I wasted not a microlitre of real ink.
Indian Army comes up with TASIP,
Terrestrial Army Soldier Improvement Program,
And the protagonist, Ravindra Thakur is selected to be one of them.
He becomes a genetically modified soldier,
The DRDO has a specialist scientist Dr. Malakar who does it with his team,
CRISPR-Cas9 is used to elongate all his telomeres,
And now he has stronger chromosomes.
Ravindra & his batchmates can handle extreme doses of hormones,
Adrenalin, human growth hormone and testosterone to name a few,
These hormones can otherwise **** people in such high overdose,
But his sixth sense is strengthened and even the seventh & eighth senses top with those,
You begin to read it and if you can't put it down, blame it on me,
Cross-references to my previous novel help bring your heart closer,
Yes, the novel is sci-fi, army, diplomacy and hypothetically viable too.

Dear Mom & Dad,
I won't be coming home quite as soon as once thought. I have found a place where they really like me; a place like no other. Instead of being shunned and despised, like most places, I'm invited to everything:
parties,
picnics,
and parades,
my neighbors even welcome me with open arms. Suffice-to-say, I finally feel like I belong and plan to stay a while in this country.
Your Son,
Covid-19 Coronavirus, III

Another country closes another border,
this is a perverse reverse of the New World Order,
every headline reads the same thing,
the coronavirus has gone viral,
“Stay Calm & Do Panic”,
nothing is under control,
as if we need more encouragement,
to be more paranoid and less social,
mind racing as the world its put on hold…
“Practice social distancing.”,
“If you feel sick self-isolate.”,
“Go home, stay home, stay safe.”,
“Handshakes and hugs can wait.”,
national emergencies are declared,
caught off guard no one is prepared,
call in the National Guard,
fear is a powerful factor and everyone is scared,
well,
I’d rather die together than live alone,
so I go out but find no one around,
so now the only way to connect is through my phone,
meanwhile back in reality,
only 5,000 people have died globally,
while 18,000,000 die every year from heart disease,
so tell me what’s really going on,
broken hearted the fix is in,
the new monster is CoVid-19,
it’s our generation’s 9/11,
the parallels are frightening,
and I don’t know what the heck to do,
so I just write these words as my message in a bottle,
which I send off from my island,
hoping it reaches you before the day after tomorrow,
as another country closes another border,
this is a perverse reverse of the New World Order,
every headline reads the same thing,
the coronavirus has gone viral…

From the womb of Coronavirus,
Comes the birth of a new human with a noble cause, a new purpose, a Renewed vision, and a new mentality, one that:
Listens to cries of the people, and lift their spirits.
Sheds tears over the innocent lives claimed.
Values close family ties, friendship, and recites a wishful prayer to
Alleviate the suffering of distressed souls.
Protects the elderly, takes care of their neighbor, shares meals with the Hungry, and renders services to others, expecting nothing in return.
The birth of a new human,
Who thinks, breathes, speaks and acts with kindness ,
Who’s molded from humility,
With a mind full of reflection, and a
Soft heart encompassed with love!

At ako'y pinapatay uli ninyo?
Marami akong gugutumin
Marami akong papatayin
Marami akong paaminin
Kung sino ang sakim!
Maraming lalabas ang kulay
Uunahin ang sariling buhay
Pababayaang mamatay
Ang walang sariling bahay
Gusto ko sa matatao
Sa matitigas na ulo
Dun sa mga nag chichismisan sa dulo
Na puro kuro-kuro
Ganyan ang mga tao
Sa gitna ng delubyo
Mahilig silang magtalo-talo

Remembrance
by Michael R. Burch
a coronavirus poem
Remembrance like a river rises;
the rain of recollection falls;
frail memories, like vines, entangled,
cling to Time's collapsing walls.
The past is like a distant mist,
the future like a far-off haze,
the present half-distinct an hour
before it blurs with unseen days.
Published by Romantics Quarterly. Keywords/Tags: coronavirus, remembrance, memory, memories, recollection, time, rain, river, mist, haze, blurs, past, present, future

It is Easter 2020 a hard time indeed
No Easter sports unless you play sports on the PlayStation yeah
There are no fun events for the kiddies
Just stick to social media
But you could there is a lot on
There is no need to panic
Easter Easter Easter on social media in our homes
No going out to clubs for dinner
Or puns for drunken parties
It is hard if you can’t talk on the street
But that means you shouldn’t be rude
Because Jesus wouldn’t want that
Easter Easter Easter on social media
In our homes
Partying on your couch
Doing art and drinking grog
And saying party ****** party
But Easter tells you of the death and reincarnation of our very lord Jesus
In 2 days well nobody reincarnates that quick but Jesus is important
He helped a lot of people
And helped a lot of souls
Is it about the Easter bunny
Giving eggs and bunnies to
All the cool children who love Easter
Easter Easter Jesus is alive
Easter Easter bunny for the kids
Easter Easter have fun in life oh yeah
Easter Easter yes it is a great holiday
But the coronavirus is making people
A pack of fucken clowns
I hope Easter is a happy one
I hope Easter is great for all
I hope Easter is a time to have fish on Good Friday but no sports no sports
Well let’s party at Easter, dudes

Buy the top guns in the world
now all in one same album.
Trump, Jinping and Putin
their ode to the public
now meticulously is one same lyric.
Get in, stay in, the home is big!
Believe it or not, it's big
Bigger than Times Square,
Palace Square or Tiananmen Square.
But how they are so sure
have they seen my home or yours?
Yes they say and surely not alone
in one voice they sing, love it
or loath it lockdown is sweet
they saw the next big thing.
Dare not follow their coronavirus lyric
it could be the grave the next we step in.
What we see now, what are we to learn?
When the Almighty wants to whisper
there can be no other power broker.
In no time the sky can turn upside down
and lo back to the basic home flies the lark!

Texas: The Grand Facade
“All my instincts, they return, and the grand facade, so soon will burn”. Songwriter: Peter Gabriel, In Your Eyes
§§§§§
and so nature does it best to humanize the arrogance,
“can’t happen here, can’t happen to me,
I’m too young, a brave Alamo Texan,”
forgot Gabriel’s admonition, the grand facade, is exactly that,
a coverup, and skin is not deep enough, even your tough hide,
cannot keep out what you
cannot see, is stronger than you,
did you weigh the scales,
do a cost/benefit analysis,
write down the pros & cons?
**think of coronavirus like love and ***
——————
good love is a treasured blessing, a live long song,
wine to be pleasured sipped, you get drunk on beer, and
hookup *** give yourself ****** aids, and/or the clap,
a bad decision, a haunting, a hangover that is marked on you face,
that you’ll testify to
every day for the rest of your sad, sad, existence,
in the bathroom mirror
a facade always gets revealed,
too bad you chose the
wrong thing to believe in...
you unmasked yourself!

I'd kiss you softly
And hold hands with
You and slowly wrap
My arms around you
Keeping you safe and
Warm sheltered from the
Coronavirus storm nestled
Away in my heart today
With a bright smile on your face
Your in a warm happy place and
In my heart you'll be every day
Safe and warm with me.
