New Orleans has its Oaks, the most beautiful in the world
The Oaks they had an occupant, little squawky squirrel
Squawky squirrel stepped out one day, cross the street he made his way
And if he hadn’t changed his mind, he’d still be here today

The widow sweet Ms. Peters, did receive a call
From a handsome gentleman, who went by the name of Paul
Ms. Peters had been interested, in Paul’s cautious advance
But decided she would wait a while, not to take a chance
Now Paul has found his one and only
Ms. Peters spends her nights quite lonely

Oh yes the case of the pretty pilot
Just seventeen in a flying machine
The weather turned black so she headed back
But her boyfriend intervened

Now close if I may - here's what I say
Trust yourself - the odds break your way

So adorable your longing,
I'm lost in this snow,
Knowing yours and your name,
Where is this love I cannot find?
A woe of us won,
Something yet to be known,
You away gone and away gone.
I know we are strong,
Us lost in this love on.
What of this paradox upon?
Forever are we,
The possibilities,
Of us lost in time longing on.
I know we just met, but tell me you're not a one to get away...

The heart filled with love,
Dying, unable to protect it, decaying as the ash it has burnt out to,
All what is left is destruction, the emotions birthed by the abyss of an empty chest, such is the fate of one who has lost his ability to see, the ability to love love, now destined to be alike the undead,
Blind hatred raging with a dusty tone, forgotten and untouched in ages to come, undead wandering around, yet with no goal, no aim,
Feelings are but a blessing, without them one could be ruined, for even if they do bring joy but also pain, the experience to have lived through that, grown and understood their meaning is human,
"Give it back" she yelled whilst her blood drenched words stuck in her throat, seemingly unable to breathe by what took place,
A rotten heart may be dead, pitch black and left without notice, care
Sworn to change she cried her blind eyes out in the greatest despair,
While it ended with a brilliant smile, as pure as ash being scattered by the wind, her dreams were laid to rest and had abrogate, abolished,
Waking up in sweat, tears and joy from something which seemed to be a nightmare this girl tries her best not to end like her dreams,
After all, everyone is deserving of a second chance.

People message me and say
"Your poetry is oh so sad."
Well, until something new
Comes along to write about,
I'll continue to write like this
As I sit and S̶c̶r̶e̶a̶m̶.  I mean, quietly whisper
My poetry into paper.
Not necessarily a poem.

The leaves changing
The wind blowing
The temperature dropping.
There is no better time then when the leaves begin to fall.
Haven't had any happy or relaxing poems in awhile. So, heres to the autumn weather.

She washes her hands in egg whites,
picking out stray shell pieces.
Sitting as still as the morning- quiet,
while the kettle sets itself a-steaming.
She hears that same Chinese flute
drifting down the hallway,
slipping universal truths
under each hotel room doorway.
She looks to the rain in the hills
like sorrowful sailor's wife;
a day could be time for a dream fulfiled
or the time that the rivers run dry.
I honestly have no idea why this took such a turn, I think I must be hungry

Haven't had the words of late
haven't seen the need
Haven't felt the witches brew
Seed the blood to bleed.
Looked about for reason to..
Looked around for cause,
Found the old magneto
Rusted hot in pause.
What a ****** admission,
What a state to be,
Embroiled in incognito's
Lost identity.
Need to alter background
Ditch the one act play
Find blue sky enchantment's
beauty in this way.
Tantiize libido
Rile the juices red,
Haul my suffering woman
Off to ***** bed.
Locate joy in sunshine
Rip the brain to zest,
Electrify libido
Change the word to.....YES!

After an interminable drought of verse-less days.

One small action,
one unseen sacrifice,

all tiny efforts can add up
to something beautiful.

somehow during an

overgrowth of years,

you became frozen

right where you spiked.

with what's beyond you--

yet you.

quoting the heart...

most memorably.

to the famished forgetfulness,

of a changing landscape.

A constant is control
Your every surrounding contains a constant
Constantly ever changing
in what ways are we shaped by our own constant?
Our society?
How does it mold our perception?
it is but a constant
I am who I am
I can only hope that
creativity defines me
As my flaws weave through each definitive line of my life
And My colors define me with each shade of its own
It was once spoken that
“Imagination was greater than knowledge”
Because It is all its own.
Creativity is freedom ❤️

Slotting into geological time

"As a man thinks, so is he", ferillergood ye may
as well add as subtract.

Am i right or am I wrong?
Dexter, yeh, that'n
or Sinister.
Being left or right,

That's jest sided-ness, a sort,
a me-trick-able stackable thing,
with an in
side and an out
side and a top outside and a bottom outside
and a front inside and a front backside
and a back frontside with its own inside.
Like you.

Value pends 'pon sorts of things
into similarities of singularities,
if I got that message un occluded or
unveiled of sacred meanings.

There seemed to be no code
"if a man (voice) says a thing that is true, but
I did not say it: does that make it untrue?"

I answered, "Lord, you are truth."

Wow. Look what I said. truth you are lord.

Punctuated equilibrium humm white noise of wonder
can it be?
'Think so.
BTW **** sapiens sapiens = man who thinks who knows he thinks.

Sharp evening birds shadow the sun
setting across the water;
in dreams the ocean
comes to full river.
Many times we've climbed this bridge
weeds changing the color of the water,
stirring glints of conversation
the uplift in the veins
beating a flight to autumn.

I hear your string of broken bird call
raucous and wild
as years turn it to echo;
Startling paleness
a reverie of winter's chill
how boneless is bird flight.
the solace of wings.
Now there is only one
                                      where once there were two.

          clipped wings
          the imprint of fossils
          the rain's guilty tones
          smearing the dirt

Planks wobble,
                            set as they are
                                                    haphazard, uneven.

Now there's a blur of impressions,
the nonsensical strings in a litany of sound
. . . reflecting on  you,
I walk this bridge alone, touching air no one else can see,
                 one step at a time,
                                           learning to be ME.

She was all I had and all I ever needed In life when she became beautiful wife a life-changing moment for me for Helen opened my eyes to what love was really

When you've found true love you'll never want It
to ever leave you, for love Is being there for each other nothing touch much to ask

For better or worse sickness or health you stay right on through to the end for that's what true love Is really all about I was lucky that I had It all that of my beautiful wife

True never dies but just gets stronger with each passing day that what true True love Is about being there for each other never wanting to be apart because of that
lady In your life
never want to let
True love being through the good and the bad through sickness and health for better or worse that what true loves about

The leaves have fallen
from the trees,
the sky is grey, like
the ancient, monolithic
glacial boulders.
A soft, chill breeze
blows from the lake
and freezes my
breath in the air.
Summer is fading
into winter,
dying slowly like
a grandmother with
dementia. Mother Nature
no longer remembers
the joyous heat or
the tender leaves of before,
instead giving us
the frigid winds of change.
Like the seasons,
everything changes,
everything fades and dies.
Like the green forest
winnowed down to twigs
by the cruel North Wind.
And it is as grim
as the storm clouds
coalescing ex nihilo
against the horizon.

Melting flesh falling into place.
Calling out different words.

Two minds, two different eyes.
I see you differently.
How you changed your heart towards my soul.
How you changed your attitude towards this seemingly always happy home.

You were worried and you kept your mouth shut.
You pat my back gently and asked me if I was okay.
When I was okay, you shot bullets at me.

Are you scared of caring?
Scared of showing the soft kind heart within?
I know it because when you morphed, your heart shone through the tissues of your body....I saw it.
It was beautiful...

I walk with a straggle,
The chains become tighter with
Every step.
You see, this is my reason for
Giving up.

"You hold the key
to your own shackles"

I can set myself free,
With what ambition,
when my hands are tied?
What's the point of changing
When I've lied
For them to Believe I'm fine?

They say you can change,
They say it's possible to Believe
In something other than pain.
For this, I won't give up.
For this, I'll keep going
Until my hands don't reach
As low as my shackles hang.

Fell in love last friday
with a non-binary star
woke up and brushed my teeth
with sunglasses on thinking
of them

white shots of hail and the windows
jeweled from the rain
a hot week and hot nights
followed by a hot star
and sheets of rains from grey clouds
they DJ’d at a party and i got rly drunk kayyyy

edit: thx angela for lighting this one up :3

What kinda flowers would you like to have?
besides my own tulips, I have
I honestly don't know much about the garden or the seeds
I know not every day is greeted by dandy lions
Or as fertilized in the fruits of its daily labor
No one owes your favor
We're all petal pushers
Waiting to blossom from the buzzin'
Not everyone has the will to stem tall
Some may wilt away; Some may brighten the day
But, I just want to floret
And never look back
Dancing on the breeze like a leaf
Forgetting the roots
What a relief

Autumn leaves blowing in the breeze,
Cool wind against my skin,
The seasons are changing as fast as I am,
So what does that mean for us?
Our summer romance is over,
Dry your tears before September turns them to dust,

Bundle up, wrap your arms in cotton,
Guard your heart against the winter chill that’s coming,
Build a fire to thaw your frigid limbs,
I can hear your bones crackling in the flames,

When spring arrives I hope some of our love survives,
These changing seasons,
as they flutter by,
Our skin once fresh and smooth,
Turned stiff and cracked like uncured   leather,

Where did the time go I wonder?
Our youth swallowed by time,
Taken in flashes of quickly aging months,
How many summers passed us by while our heads were in the clouds?

How long before we join the pebbles beneath our feet?
Will we get a chance to see one last season of bare trees,
A sea of red and orange littered upon the ground,
We are changing faster than the seasons.
Youth is fleeting, enjoy it.
