Humanity i love you because you would rather black the boots of success than enquire whose soul dangles from his watch-chain which would be embarrassing for both parties and because you unflinchingly applaud all songs containing the words country home and mother when sung at the old howard Humanity i love you because when you’re hard up you pawn your intelligence to buy a drink and when you’re flush pride keeps you from the pawn shop and because you are continually committing nuisances but more especially in your own house Humanity i love you because you are perpetually putting the secret of life in your pants and forgetting it’s there and sitting down on it and because you are forever making poems in the lap of death Humanity i hate you

Humanity I Love You
good weather is like good women- it doesn't always happen and when it does it doesn't always last. man is more stable: if he's bad there's more chance he'll stay that way, or if he's good he might hang on, but a woman is changed by children age diet conversation *** the moon the absence or presence of sun or good times. a woman must be nursed into subsistence by love where a man can become stronger by being hated. I am drinking tonight in Spangler's Bar and I remember the cows I once painted in Art class and they looked good they looked better than anything in here. I am drinking in Spangler's Bar wondering which to love and which to hate, but the rules are gone: I love and hate only myself- they stand outside me like an orange dropped from the table and rolling away; it's what I've got to decide: **** myself or love myself? which is the treason? where's the information coming from? books...like broken glass: I wouldn't wipe my *** with 'em yet, it's getting darker, see? (we drink here and speak to each other and seem knowing.) buy the cow with the biggest **** buy the cow with the biggest **** present arms. the bartender slides me a beer it runs down the bar like an Olympic sprinter and the pair of pliers that is my hand stops it, lifts it, golden **** of dull temptation, I drink and stand there the weather bad for cows but my brush is ready to stroke up the green grass straw eye sadness takes me all over and I drink the beer straight down order a shot fast to give me the guts and the love to go on. from "poems written before jumping out of an 8 story window" - 1966

suppose Life is an old man carrying flowers on his head. young death sits in a café smiling,a piece of money held between his thumb and first finger (i say “will he buy flowers” to you and “Death is young life wears velour trousers life totters, life has a beard” i say to you who are silent.—”Do you see Life?he is there and here, or that, or this or nothing or an old man 3 thirds asleep,on his head flowers, always crying to nobody something about les roses les bluets yes, will He buy? Les belles bottes—oh hear ,pas chères”) and my love slowly answered I think so. But I think I see someone else there is a lady, whose name is Afterwards she is sitting beside young death,is slender; likes flowers.

Ay, the pain it costs me to love you as I love you! For love of you, the air, it hurts, and my heart, and my hat, they hurt me. Who would buy it from me, this ribbon I am holding, and this sadness of cotton, white, for making hankerchiefs with? Ay, the pain it costs me to love you as I love you!

It's True
Burning fuel but not to leave, boys circled town, came back to the station where they began. Gas exhaust drifted like spirits above asphalt, dissolving in the night. Girls stayed in the lot, waiting for men old enough to buy liquor, their names claiming the land- long after other names lay buried in the ground. They kept to the faces, legs folded on hoods, lip gloss catching the station lights, bracelets chiming, hair flips rehearsed, laughing at trucks circling back. They wanted to be chosen, and I tried to want that too- tried to be a girl among girls, waiting for the moment some hand would tug me out of the circle. But my eyes kept straying- across the street, to the rise that was not just dirt but a chest under earth, ribs shifting, a hum curling into my throat. Something skeletal in its patience, as if Baykok himself were sharpening arrows in the dark, waiting for breath to break. Built long before us by Ojibwe, still honored as sacred ground. The others smoked, struck sparks, sequins spilling from careless wrists, never thinking how easily flame might travel down, through us, into what we couldn’t see. I could hear bones shifting, a buried drumbeat, the land’s own warning. Every glance of the mound pulled me back into silence. It told me what the others didn’t want to know- that all this circling, waiting, was only the lid of a grave.

Our parents are always telling us , you have to go to school, that you'll learn everything you need to know before you're ready for the big world, and that'll you need it to get into your dream job But now a days our education isn't about learning, its about passing Our education now isn't the same as it used to be It teaches us that if you're not at a certain grade level, you will not succeed That if you don't meet a certain criteria, maybe you're not for fit the course This education system doesn't teach us whats really important for the big world It doesn't teach us how to live, how to do taxes or how to survive It never taught us the living expenses or how to buy a home Never taught us what to expect once we leave for college or how to balance our schedules No. It only taught us homework, about a plant cell, about tangents and circumferences It taught us that homework is more important than family That it's more important than being a kid and having a life It taught us that if you spend time with loved once and didn't do your work, you're setting yourself up for failure They pile us with work it feels like we cant breath They never once thought of the other class assignments that must be due not even 24 hours later They make us memorise things that will no longer be important when we apply for a job We study for hours in hopes to pass that final test that we'll soon forget But what are we suppose to say when someone asks us how we're feeling? We were never taught that We never memorised an equation to help us find the answer We were only ever taught to keep our mouths shut and do our work Its quite funny what we learn in school now Things more than 80% of the students will never have to use let alone see again School was suppose to prepare us for our future For the job choice we pick Instead we meet and learned quadratics and plant cells We were taught homework is what your focus should always be on We were never taught about the future and what to do And most importantly We were never taught how to love ourselves and the things we should be greatful for They've turn us into sad, mindless robots that's are more concerned about grades and passing than whats going on with the family We lock ourselves in our rooms doing homework for 6 hours than talking to our mothers or fathers who wonder about us We were never taught the importance of family before it was too late Every single highschool student wishes they can turn back the clocks, but it'll never work We were taught the hard way that you don't really know what you have until its gone Something we weren't prepared for They never prepared us for the future Instead, we prepare our self for the possible failing outcome How are we suppose to make a living for ourselves when all we have learned was the stress over homework and family? The depression over a failed test or assignment? The lost feeling of the lost time? How are we suppose to love ourselves when all we do is put yourself down because of school? This education system never prepared us for anything Instead, this education system officially has broken all of us.

. * Do I have a tongue, Can I speak too? In this strange world, Am I a human too? Do I have a heart, Can I live too? In this strange land, Am I alive too? In the midst of Oblivion, I search my visions, I once used to dream, As a young teenager, In Sea of Paro s I try to remember, The faces of people I had once lived with Father, mother, brother Of all those people I had once called family. I came here as girl, I am shared in the family, I born plenty children, I am sold and re-sold In and around To any men who Can afford to buy, I am kept but Seldom married, Each street have it's own paro, They all have But the same story. After some years I cease to exist, For the people Who bought me I am an old cattle Who no longer give them pleasure, I am now a burden A liability soon To be shedded.. They don't throw me though, They leave me alone In a small room, I have become a mother Of a girl or two I have new family But no identity fits me ever, When I come here I became a Paro, When my times up I die a Paro!! These spiritual window-shoppers, who idly ask, 'How much is that?' Oh, I'm just looking. They handle a hundred items and put them down, shadows with no capital. What is spent is love and two eyes wet with weeping. But these walk into a shop, and their whole lives pass suddenly in that moment, in that shop. Where did you go? "Nowhere." What did you have to eat? "Nothing much." Even if you don't know what you want, buy _something,_ to be part of the exchanging flow. Start a huge, foolish project, like Noah. It makes absolutely no difference what people think of you.

These spiritual window-shoppers
Harry Heironymous Huffenhoffer was leading a lonely life working nights at the fukfoorfiffenfimmer factory where he was in charge of loading crates full of fukfoorfiffenfimmers, onto cargo cars destined for the city of Cincinnati. There was such a huge demand for fukfoorfiffenfimmers in the city of Cincinnati, poor Harry Heironymous Huffenhoffer worked his hunnyhush to the bone. On one of his few holiday weekends, Harry Heironymous Huffenhoffer went to a hair salon for a trim. Here he was attended by a hairdresser named, Henrietta Huckhellopolis. Harry Heironymous Huffenhoffer instantly fell for the husky-voiced hairdresser. Gaining enough gumption and gallasisgoppingguff needed to bypass beating around the bush of courteous courtship, Harry Heironymous Huffenhoffer asked Henrietta Huckhellopolis if she wanted to leerlumpaloomp later that evening. "I would love to leerlumpaloomp later this evening," she replied, batting her long lashes lustily. And how those two leerlumpaloomped! They leerlumpaloomped long through the night. They leerlumpaloomped so loudly, the neighbours ended up sticking stuffystoils into their sensilivities, in hopes of drowning out the noise. Nine months later, the lovers were blessed with a litter of lullaloonillies—wot with the loud leerlumpaloomping and all. But, of the seven lullaloonillies, four of them had two lumpalots instead of one. Bolstering himself against drowning in despair at the prospect of having sired freak lullaloonillies, Harry Heironymous Huffenhoffer helped design fukfoorfiffenfimmers especially meant for lullaloonillies who have two lumpalots instead of one. As the double-lumpalot fukfoorfiffenfimmers were Harry Heironymous Huffenhoffer's idea, the owner of the fukfoorfiffenfimmer factory gave Harry Heironymous Huffenhoffer a forty percent cut of the royalties. *Fortunately some fairy tales come with a happy ending, because the city of Cincinnati was hit with a record number of lullaloonillies born with two lumpalots instead of just the one. The high sales of double-lumpalot fukfoorfiffenfimmers, enabled Harry Heironymous Huffenhoffer and Henrietta Huckhellopolis to quit their jobs and buy into the fukfoorfiffenfimmer factory. Yes, after getting married, Harry Heironymous and Henrietta Huckhellopolis-Huffenhoffer lived happily hever hafter. So did the lullaloonillies.... including those with two lumpalots instead of one.*

As insecure toddlers, we were often told by our parents that inner beauty is more important than outer beauty. This is how they were able to instill in us the confidence we may have today, whenever we represent ourselves in front of other people. However, this is something I find to be quite inaccurate.  If you ask a random person about what they find beautiful and attractive, most of them would probably begin to describe a person’s physical attributes than the internal attributes. Beauty is defined to be the perfect balance and harmony with nature, which may lead to feelings of attraction and emotional well-being. Since the attraction is subjective, the term “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” takes place. Many individuals would like to believe that looks are never important, and that judgments should be based on a person’s internal well-being instead of its outer counterparts. In our modern society, external beauty is more favorable since everything becomes more convenient, than when you only have internal beauty. People will always see your external beauty the moment they see you and not that beautiful mind and soul of yours, and that’s what makes them attracted to you. Just like with expensive cars, the moment a car is put into the market, the consumer who will buy them would first look at their exterior first before they would look for its driving ability; no matter how good its performance may be, these people would always look at its exterior. Also, external beauty can help you be successful, it can land you jobs, earn more money, and help you be treated with more respect by strangers than those with internal beauty. The preference for external beauty than internal beauty is what is wrong in our current society. We live up to the evolved norms of society that we have started to grow backwards. Outer beauty fades, and no matter how beautiful you are on the outside, once people get to know you, you’d be nothing but a simple less attractive human being than you once were. I would leave a wonderful quote here written by a great author: “A tree may look as beautiful as ever; but when you notice the insects infesting it, and the tips of the branches that are brown from disease, even the trunk seems to lose some of its magnificence.”

You don't limit your life to social media. In reality, social media limits you to your life. A selfie with this and a selfie with that. Your life is race for comments and likes. Instead of having a personality worth praising You are now judged based on your social media profiles. Status update: I wish I could visit Paris some day. In Paris you're like, "Where can I get signals for wifi?" Your achievements are unlocking new levels of Candy Crush Is that the legacy you'll leave behind? As if all these achievements will benefit you   to unlock the doors of heaven when you'll die. Your 940 friends won't be able to help you by sending a booster or an extra life. Relationship Status: Happily married. Happy and married until the moment you both go offline. You buy everything from behind the screen Error 404: Cannot buy love and time. It's a complicated maze that you won't accept Even when they themselves call it a website. You don't limit your life to social media. In reality, social media limits you to your life.

I have the unfortunate belief that my self-worth lies in the quality of my hair. It may sound ridiculous, but it's true. Go ahead, touch my hair. I feed off of your fascination -though I remain engaged only as long as you do- my tolerance for my hair is equivalent to its length. I once had someone tell me "I like your hair better straight" And that was when fifth grade ruined me. I thought by changing they would accept me. And Daniel would like me like he liked Taylor and all of my likes would be returned and Eddie would choose me because we were best friends and I had the fortune of being beautiful but I wasn't allowed to be beautiful to him because I have this hair. People wonder why I spend hours with an iron. But when you're so different that boys won't like you because your hair is curly and you teeth are crooked you have no choice but to change the things that are in your power. I could never make myself fully white But I sure as hell can straighten my hair and let Mamaw buy me braces. They can call you giraffe neck still, but at least your hair is straight like everyone else. Yes, you like to touch it and it's "neat" and it's "soft" But why on earth should that matter to me? People respect my hair because it is mine. But he will not love it unless it is like hers- wind-caught silk that hangs to her waist. I weep for my hair. I weep for my hair. You do not understand how different it is. You do not understand how hard it is to stick out like a sore thumb because your genetics were oppressed for 500 years. I am ugly Because of my hair. No number of people telling me of its beauty will matter because I cannot see it. He cannot see it either.

If I travelled, across the landscape of my mind, And, I chose to take you with me – guess what you might find? I’d talk you into many things, I’d make you see the sea. We would buy some wood Pay by cheque, which you would check And build an arc upon an ark. And you’d, set sail with me! Whether we had the weather or not We’d sail a week, and you’d feel so weak You’ll beg me for dry land! And so, we’d end the feat on our two feet And, tow; toe-to toe. Until ashore, we land. We’d shout aloud, if that’s allowed? To see if we’re alone? We’d find we are and start to panic But get woken by the phone. Steve Collins. 24/8/10

Homophone Dream
is it new york i love or do i crave being near you; crave the one in a million chance that if we were in the same city we would run into each other on the sidewalk while i’m on my way to buy flowers and you’re smoking a cigarette dressed in all black and i’d smile at you and you’d grab me by the wrists and scold me for being away for so long and then i’d let you kiss my face as you interlock your fingers with mine and you’d never let me go again, you would take me with you wherever you went and i’d never look back.

Words are Power Power is Money Money Is Pizza Pizza Is God So give me your words and no one gets hurt Pizza is all that I believe in Pizza is me I am Pizza And if I take you words Then I take you power And I get your money And with that money I buy pizza Pizza solves everything Its fills the hole in my heart And it fills the holes in my Arteries Clearly Pizza is God For Without it How can we Live? The mighty cheese Overlords Watching us from their Oven thrones Bathing us with the sweet smell Of pepperoni happiness All Hail Pizza All Bow Down to pizza Curtsy to Pizza Perform Choreographed dance numbers for Pizza Kiss the trays that they sit upon In fact I fail to understand Why you’re listening to this poem And not eating Pizza What is wrong with you? Have you ever met a person That hates pizza? No! No one hates pizza! But if they do…. Don’t trust them Don’t look at them Don’t think about them Don’t friend them on Facebook Run away from this person Do not trust this Pizza hater For they do not deserve your love Or your Pizza For These cheesy pies of greatness That comes in rectangular cubes of cardboard Graciously land upon our doorsteps And impart to us The gift of happiness It brings the whole family together And makes everyday better Pizza does not discriminate No matter what you look like Or what you like Pizza will always be the same Delicious Pizza lives on in every country And in every ones hearts We should thank our pizza overlords For the awesomeness that they have brought us Instead of dropping bombs We should drop pizza End all Wars And solve world hunger! Instead of having Congress sit there and do nothing Have them sit there and eat pizza We should make Papa John our President And have a large deep crust as a flag Land of the brave and home of the Pepperoni Everything would be perfect Because I like my pizza Like I like my people I don’t care what you look like What you do Or what you say As long as you have That gooey cheesy heart that makes everyone smile I will love you forever And I’m sure you taste delicious ………not that I'm advocating cannibalism that would be crazy! But….Imagine all the people tasting like pizza? Befriending them Getting to know them Killing them With a rolling pin or a frying pan Sprinkling some cheese on them Add some cilantro Bake them in an oven on high at 450 degrees Leave them in the oven for another ten minutes so they cool down Sprinkle a little salt on top and some Tapatio Slice them up and have them for movie night I mean come on…. Imagine it! Imagine how **** delicious some people would be!

Buy me ripped skinny jeans And feed me LSD Maybe then I'll be happy Earlier this night I traveled down memory lane Please call my friend Mary Jane She'll help me forget I'm in this ****** life I know I'll never win Unless I get my veins full of heroine I don't even know how to keep myself sane Without a hit of ******* All I ever wanted was to leave behind a legacy But the thing is I no longer feel the ecstasy That's supposed to be lingering in my ways I'm in no position to pretend that I'm holy Especially when I'm always seen With my good friend Molly Cause who am I to avoid all this I'm just a sad lonely teen Feeling psychedelic

Love versus Money (10WP)
What does quality time together mean When everybody's glued to their smartphones Mom and dad buy new gadgets and forget each other... again. Meals are left cold on the dining table Nobody pays attention to homecooked meals anymore Food is rather thrown in the bin or reheat again and again... What is the value of mom's kitchen when Domino's Pizza can be ordered via online? The magicof smartphones... Homes aren't cozy place for us anymore Everybody enjoys secrecy... privacy... Living far  apart but breathing under the same roof.... Dear daughter comes home in tears Dinner date a sheer disaster, she said... He checks his Whatsapp notifications every now and then...and smiling reading his messages.., A total shame... Technology is meant for convinience sake Same time rapidly ruins our everyday life What has happenened to real conversations? Hiding behind the sophisticated gadgets What good is that? Get rid of of your latest Samsung and show your true face...
