"brutely" poems
I have the torso of a human
and fittingly a horses ***
I am brutely honest, always
putting my foot in my mouth
I do not wish to lead you
and yet I will not follow
I can be a little silly
An optimistic to a fault
I view life through rose tinted glasses
that are tinted by my heart
All of this , I embrace with pride
It makes me who I am
I am not perfect
And would not choose to be
I am happy being saggitarius
I am content with being me

I am a sock
My cotton exterior pilled and frayed
insides as soft and warm as down feathers
i lie in the drawer
without warmth or company
for one day
my match
the sock who has always suited me
my soft, silver striped soulmate
left my life forever
we were forced to go our separate ways
by some cruel sleight of paw
mi amigo was taken away from me
and brutely dragged down the hallway
life without my match is a gravel road
rocks dig into the uncovered feet
with a missing sock
life is incomplete
