He pulled and parked the supply red wagon, then climbed the mast to the captain's cabin. Captain Red is ready for adventure. A quest to collect the world's best treasure. His pirate crew is renowned far and wide. They're rough and tough and they don't ever cry. But none of them boys has the captain's stuff. So don't mess with him, man, cause he don't bluff. This motley crew has achieved many feats, has never suffered a single defeat, and has seen the most incredible things: whales, whirlpools, storms, mermaids, krakens and kings. "Set sail," squaws the boss as he munches lunch and the Ocean Destroyer leaves port Wunche. These rolling green hills are now ocean waves. That blue sky, however, remains the same. ... "Hey Benjamin!" beams the first mate Susanne. Impeding the journey that just began. "We already played this game. It's my turn!" The first mate trumps the captain, Ben will learn. ... Her spacesuit crew is renowned far and wide. They're smart and nice and they don't ever lie. But none of these girls has commander's stuff. So don't mess with her, girl, cause she don't bluff. This brainy crew has achieved many feats, has never suffered a single defeat, and has seen the most incredible things: aliens, black holes, stars, and martian springs. "Lift off!" beams the boss as she munches lunch and the Star Chasing Rocket leaves base Wunche. These rural backyards are now rocky space. That blue sky, however, remains the same. ... "Hey Susanne!" beams the pilot Benjamin. Impeding the flight before it begins. "We already played this game. It's my turn!" The pilot trumps commander, Sue will learn. ... Boys and girls grow up and out the front door. Those children’s games evolve to adult chores; those kiddy lawns to grandparent’s domain. That blue sky, however, remains the same.

Captain Red Wunche and Commander Sue

I’ve got an attitude But I’m not so sure why It’s just another crazy thing That I just can’t let by I’ll list things that annoy me If that’s okay with you It goes to Pluto, and then back So I’ll just list a few I hate it when the younger ones Think they know better than me Or think they have authority To come and try to boss me I hate it when the older ones Think they can just ignore me And public business comes around They try to keep it from me It’s bad enough when I don’t win But that wont make me mad What I hate, oh who I hate it When the winners brag I hate it when folks say things to me To make me feel so small But then their only motive Is to make themselves feel tall They tell me that my ways are wrong Though they don’t know the right way I get this not just once a while But every single day I hate it that when I am wronged There’s no apology Instead they shake their snooty hips And spit their tongue at me If people would just slow it down And be kind or nice to me They might just find how happy of A person I can be #3_5/10/11

Reunited Walking down a path, where no man should ever go, its dark, cold, damp and I'm moving very slow. Feeling the walls that are covered in slime, too many things happening at the same time. So much hidden deep down in my soul, not sure if I can escape this black hole. Things I've done can never be told, Sometimes life gets put on hold. If only these things, I could mention, it would relieve so much tension. So many things, I just can't say, if I did I'd be put so far away. I've reached the point of no return, next one who gets in my way, I'm gonna burn. Getting more angry by the minute, bought some guns in case I have to shoot. This giant duffle bag is getting quite heavy, I wish I still had my 57 Chevy. Back then life was great, Wife, kids, house, fence with a gate. Then one stormy night, a car went off the road, since that night my brain started to overload. Fell into a deep depression, lost my job, thanks to the recession. Lost my house, lost my car, all my dreams are now to far. Walked into the place, I used to work, hated my boss, he was such a **** Grabbed my guns and started to shoot, all the blood was staring to pollute. Shot as many as I possibly could, don't know why, just thought I should. Losing everything drove me insane, I'm not making excuses for my brain. Not long after there were hundreds of police, there was no offering of a sign of peace. They barged in and I resisted arrest, I was shot several times in the chest. I wanted to die, but always in style, all I could see was my families smile. Now we're back all reunited, I have never been more delighted. No one I shot that day ended up dying, just some blood and a lot of crying.

GENERATION EQUALITY It is equality when you work with her. It is equality when she leads the team. It is equality to see her, think her and call her the boss. It is equality when she promotes her accomplishments. It is equality to pay her the same as him for the same job. It is for sure equality when you give her credit for that brilliant idea. It is totally equality to admit she is more competent so she gets the job. It is equality when she has an opinion and is confident to make it known. It is equality when deciding for herself is norm. It is equality when bias and stereotypes no longer define her. It is equality when her achievements are no longer firsts. It is equality when she is well represented in critical areas of concern. It is definitely equality to treat her with respect and dignity. It is absolutely equality to fight alongside her for peace and justice. It is real equality to be her allie, support her future openly. It is surely equality for her to reclaim and take up spaces. Not just a woman, not just a girl, not just because she is your mother or wife, Not just as your sister or your aunty, not just because she is your daughter, But as the very evident, clear as day Human that she is in this generation and Generations more to come. An integral part of a collective whole, we all need to better uphold. Each one responsible, Each one acting consciously, Each one shaping up, A generation for equality. Belema .S. Freestyle Rap Battle
The punitive silences, the bad atmosphere they generate, the mind-games they use to try to **** you in are telltale signs of the toxic person. It could be your in-laws, a parent, coworker, your boss or spouse, a sibling, a roommate, boyfriend or girlfriend, someone you want out of the house. Toxic people want to make you miserable. Especially if you're a decent sort, they hone in on you like a heat-seeking missile. They spew their negativity and blame it on you. They lie constantly, or twist the facts to suit their changing needs of the moment and they never apologize (so don't expect an apology, ever). With a toxic person there is no reciprocity. They sprinkle their toxic dust on you. It makes them feel better. Their ulterior goal is to demean you, to make you feel smaller. They project their worst tendencies onto you, find fault with you for traits you don't possess--- a shadow of the **** that lurks inside them. They try to dictate the emotional atmosphere through their attitude or twisted mood. They drain you of your energy, bring you down, They'll always find a reason why your good news isn't great news. Their agenda is to cut you down to their size, to manipulate and control to **** you over while they play the injured party. Confront the bully. Speak up to the manipulator, the trickster, the backstabber. but beyond a certain point there is no point in arguing with them. Don't try to change the toxic person. You can't. You'd have better luck changing an orangutan into **** sapiens. Only a shrink could change them, and then only if they hit rock-bottom. Don't try to justify yourself. It's a waste of time which would only draw you deeper into their net. Set boundaries to keep their negativity in check. Stop trying to please them. Let that toxic somebody in your life know you're onto them and they can't get away with it anymore. Don't fall into their trap, don't get caught up in their life-dramas or try to get them out of trouble. Don't let them instill guilt in you. But try not to take their toxicity personally. Remember, it's them, not you. You are not to blame though they desperately want you to feel you've done something wrong. If necessary (and if possible), delete the toxic person from your life and move on. Know when enough is enough. Saying good riddance doesn't necessarily mean you hate them, it means your own well-being comes first. Immunize yourself. Preserve your inner strength. Set your own rules. And, when possible, just walk away.

The riled route master and the hacked off hackney carriage weren't bothered by the boris bike, they simply barreled along the bus lane oblivious to the wobble, blind to the blindsided and bent on beating the amber to red, til they were halted by the growth factor of a chelsea tractor straddling lanes and field testing the choice of right or left and failing the screen test set by the sat nav, thereby giving opportunity to the swarm of office staffers snatching their chance and chancing their luck, dancing past with their fat chance of swiping in before nine and avoiding the chagrin of the boss who's been the bane of their short sojourn through the city of lost dreams, chance encounters, thin fortune and rushed hours. This is London.

Bunga Bunga everywhere, a powerful man with silly hair seduced a girl too young and scared, was married too but didn’t care. Corrupt and feared! Bunga Bunga sounds like fun, a swimming pool and saucy sun, an Egyptian that was on the run Or, under-aged Morocun Who ****** the boss! Bunga Bunga ***** and ***** coffles of women to choose and buy and grab and ride and use, with confidence and so much to lose, but why didn’t he lose? Why didn’t he lose when it was on the news and hundreds of thousands of people accused   him of scandal and incompetence? He never revealed his conscience or any remorse for play boy antics so far removed from his pedantic stereotype as a political leader, more like a ****** wheeler dealer, pervy old ***** geezer, over cologned, greasy, heavy breather; machinating falsifier; misogynistic ********** He prized a Ruby above the rest. Bunga bunga, what a pest... she leaked his private fetish fest; poor Silvio, he tried his best to hide the bribes and bets and ****** and drugs and threats but never could care what was right and what was fair. Could only care about the colour of his **** hair.

Berlusconi
Found myself at a dental clinic... He was the best there was. Unorthodox and eccentric, But to the specialised craft, he was boss. Ran through the bits and bobs Like any normally would. The poking and prodding and the mandible X-rays. Everything cold and clinical, so was the mood. Strange was what happened next... Specialist and I then stood facing each other. He leaned close and pressed his palms against my rib cage. Held them there over a few breaths before it was over. Then a brief chat, small talk initiated by the man. Bespectacled and exceedingly chatty, small in stature. Talks of politics and odd human behaviours... What started off as friendly turned into a heated banter. I then realised that along with his decorated credentials, Was his propensity to be condescending and arrogant. Him being the best, I thought I could let it all slide, But soon enough I opted out of being a willing participant. Couldn't stand his abrasive cockiness! I snapped out of being cordial and passive thought. I wanted him to just stop talking! I went, "Well, are you going to fix my teeth or not?!" He was stunned momentarily... I suppose he hadn't seen that coming. Then his features softened to a blank I could almost read the unspoken words he was conjuring. With an exasperated sigh of resignation, He uttered his next words swollen with regret "There's no need...for you only have four years left." It dawned upon me that my timer has been set. And then I woke up...

Strange Dream
1 What my brother-in-law said to me: *Hey, bro…glad to talk to you… I’m flying in all the way from Canada in 30 days’ time…yeah, whole family Wife and the 3 kids Hey, you ought to get leave for a week – we’ll stay in your place, and you can drive us about Victoria… it’s really my sis and you we want to see… Yeah, get back to me after you speak to the people at your workplace* 2 What I told my brother-in-law: *I asked my boss, and he said leave’s not possible… He needs me to be at work says he can’t manage without me* What my brother-in-law said back to me: *Oh, we’ll try my wife’s side then You know, the ones who live in Mauritius We’d really like to see them…* 3 What actually happened Well, to be honest, I asked my boss for the week off and he said: *You’ve let so much work hang for so long you’d need a whole year to finish Let me make it plain, you shirker: This year, you get NO days off* And I shook his hands enthusiastically, and I said to him: Thanks, boss – I knew I could always count on you ...and now I've got my bro-in-law languishing in Canada - and my boss, my colleagues tell me,  feeling perplexed in his office...

A week off, for my bro-in-law
As I sit here, at the dining room table and stare over decaf coffee at the screen on my Mac my eyes are drawn, once and awhile, to the picture sitting on the buffet in the butler's pantry. Before we continue you should know that "butler's pantry" in this case means the "third bedroom" that we saw in the listing on Realtor dot com before we bought the house and that, in the usual real estate-ese, is an optimistic label at best. But I was talking about the picture. The picture sits, slightly askew, in a carved wooden bowl given to us by my wife's boss as a housewarming present. It, the bowl I mean, came with salad tongs or forks, depending on what it is that you call them, made of water buffalo horn. They sit in the bowl too and, although she'd never admit it, I know that the thought of serving salad with water buffalo horn salad forks... lets just say..... doesn't appeal to my wife. Right, the picture.... It sits in on the buffet, in the carved wooden bowl, next to another wood bowl. This one full of carved wood fruits and vegetables, which evidently, includes sugar cane. When my wife's dad moved from his house to an assisted living facility the kids, my wife, her brother and sister, took turns going down to help him move. My wife was the last and dad insisted that someone "had" to take the fruit. But, the picture.... It, and the wooden bowls full of fruit and unused salad forks, are surrounded by both faux and real glassware and placemats which all sit perched on the top of the buffet as precariously as refugees and all of their belongings on the deck and roof of an overloaded fishing boat chugging from their homeland to some place that is hopefully better. The picture... It was painted by my father-in-law and, of all the others we have in the house, is one of my favorites. It sits on the buffet, askew in the carved wooden bowl with the horn salad forks, amid polycarbonate and glass drink ware, and placemats, unframed for some reason. All of his other works came framed but this is one he did not... and did I mention that it is one of my favorites? I like his choices of frames on all of the other pictures we have, but this is just canvas, stretched over a frame, sitting in that carved African wooden bowl with those salad forks made from water buffalo horn on the buffet next to the other wood bowl full of wooden fruits and vegetables, and wooden sugar cane, in the butler's pantry.
