"beginnings" poems
Sometimes you open yourself up to a person because you feel and believe that they're different and maybe this time they won't break your heart and that your love will be requitted. So you go out on a limb and open up so much of yourself to this person. Things that you're afraid to tell others about because of fear of being judged or rejected. But there's just something about this person that allows you to tell them everything. You become so comfortable in the presence of that person that you openly admit your flaws, you don't hide it. You just completely lose yourself in love and in the thought and concept of being loved, of being in a relationship and of being with someone that you can be yourself with. The idea of that person just completely excites you and everything about them makes you happy. Seeing them and hearing their voice just helps you in an inexplicable manner and being with them is an emotion of complete comfortability on its  own. You learn to love this person and you accept their flaws and differences. You accept how they might not necessarily love eating McDonalds as much as you do or they are crazy about sci-fi movies where you can't even get yourself past watching a chick flick. But that's just it, you don't mind. You don't mind because love is about sacrifices. Its about sacrificing your weekly episode of The Vampire Diaries to watch the most recent sports updates. Because you'd rather lose the argument than to lose the person. You'd sacrifice a part of your daily routine all for love. The worst part is that nothing is guaranteed. You're not guaranteed how long you will be in a relationship with this person. You're not guaranteed complete happiness and you're not guaranteed that things are going to be perfect. You just have to trust this person and have faith. Believe the best and hope that everything will work out for the. Best. Believe that even if you break up with this person, that you're going to be ok. Everything is going to be ok, and that new beginnings are perfectly acceptable. Believe that you're going to overcome heartbreak of any kind. You just have to believe that someone out there is looking for someone like you. What others see Wrong in you just might be the exact thing that will make someone else fall in love with you. And you need to be realistic. Not all relationships last forever. Some relationships are there for lessons and experiences. So that very person that you completely open yourself up to, can break your heart. It could be during or even after the relationship. But its all part of life I guess. You'll never know how to love someone wholeheartedly if you haven't been hurt before. You just have to turn your heartbreak in to something positive, make the most out of your situation. See the light in the darkness. But learn to deal with things too. Find closure in what happened to you and don't leave a relationship with unfinished business. Because unfinished business will have to be finished sooner or later, and I think sooner is better. Allow yourself time to heal too. Opening yourself up to someone that much can hurt you a lot, and everything you had with that person will be completely lost in an instant. And you're gonna need to come to terms with that. Remember that what's meant to be , will be. Love, is a complicated thing, and you're never quite sure how things could possibly turn out to be. You're just gonna go out on a limb each time hoping for the best and patiently waiting for your happily ever after with a special person.

camp, drag, gay, labels, hashtags, names, call me maybe
I felt my head on your chest and remembered what it's like to sleep with someone who dreams of me, I kissed your lips softly and slowly and remembered what it's like to kiss someone who cares for every touch, I held your hand tightly with sweaty hands and remembered what it's like to grasp for someone who won't let go, I stared in your eyes and you stared in mine and remembered what it's like to look at someone who thinks I'm the most beautiful thing in the universe,

New beginnings
The poor keep moving as if relocation could reframe the algebra. They cannot see that repetition traces patterns in their life. New beginnings become as hopeless as stale finales of debt and desperation. Wishful thinking makes for certainties gambling against the odds of possibilities. Whispered prayers and incantations leaves no space for reason’s compass to steady and settle. If they stood still and mapped the moment both sides of the equation would simplify and they might construct a new geometry of anger. © M.L.Emmett

The Mathematics of Poverty
Kiss the child goodnight, tuck her in safe Lest she should dream of escape To a world where rainbows circle the skies And you are not who you have striven to be. Kiss the child goodnight, make sure you turn off the light Lest she should be unafraid and bold In the face of the infectious fear That flits through your eyes in a dark, alien alleyway. Kiss the child goodnight, hold her close and tight Lest she reaches out to the same sun That burned your naive fingertips And shattered your lofty castle in the clouds. Kiss the child goodnight, don't let her open those eyes Until she is finally lulled to deep slumber Wrapped within warm blankets And the beginnings of complacency. Kiss the child goodnight, watch her sleep in silence.

Kiss the Child Goodnight
It's strange how childhood felt like a train ride that would never stop like reading a book with an infinite number of pages But now you're 19-turning-twenty and the train has finally come to a definite stop the tracks have changed its path and you've reached the end the epilogue It's time to move on move along and grow up step off that train and on to the next adventure close that book and start a new chapter Be brave and brace yourself for there is more to come beginnings can be daunting because it also means saying goodbye to a life you've lived and loved.

Goodbye Teen Years
I had my first dream last night that you weren't in. not even a minor character, your ****** name wasn't even in the credits, let alone plastered across the sky in flashing lights like you want it to be. my first reality that you didn't belong in, and it was the most blissful peace that I can remember since we bathed in pools of cloud. I heard the first song that didn't make me think of you yesterday. the lyrics, for once, were just lyrics, not an embodiment of you and the things you do. guess what? it was coldplay. you always hated coldplay. this morning, I basked in the sun and didn't picture you coated in gold light beside me. I didn't look at the leaves adorning the trees and picture your face laughing beneath it. I didn't trace the plate lines of my palm and imagine the earthquake we used to create when yours collided with mine. I didn't eat new food that I wanted you to try and I didn't want to share the smallest details of my day with you. you may have won this poem, loverboy, but don't be too triumphant. your victory won't last long. it's the era of my new beginnings without you and I'm going to be just fine.

Happy Diwali...
Where does hierarchy begin?     Is it where the strong is on top, and the weak step upon? Where does your dignity be placed?    Is it where your always be the winner, no matter what, even it has bitter taste. Is SURVIVAL really that cruel? That some of us are just a tool, a fool for the strong to be cool. No, it can't be that bad yet reality is quite sad. Despite our hard beginnings Life still is beautiful that losing isn't everything. *Dignity is placed - where you respect yourself the most and Hierarchy isn't important to where your love is...* © Pax

In Allah’s eyes, you are special…each and every one of us. In Allah’s eyes, there could be a blessing waiting for you. In Allah’s eyes, you have a shimmering heart. In Allah’s eyes, your hands mirror His. In Allah’s eyes, the chance to do the impossible is every day. In Allah’s eyes, there is no one better than you except the one better in character. In Allah’s eyes, you’ve given it your all. In Allah’s eyes, He’s giving you everything you need. In Allah’s eyes, your walls are transparent. In Allah’s eyes, your affections reach many. In Allah’s eyes, you’re the only one who stands in the way. In Allah’s eyes, your Salam means more than peace. In Allah’s eyes, your mistakes are no secret and His love is still there. In Allah’s eyes, truth is all we know. In Allah’s eyes, we have an infinite number of beginnings. In Allah’s eyes, you are everywhere He can see. In Allah’s eyes, you doubt how close you are to Him. In Allah’s eyes, you are gracious and kind. In Allah’s eyes, you’re doing right with His special favor. In Allah’s eyes, there’s only one constant in your life. In Allah’s eyes, your face shines bright. By Najwa Kareem

In Allah's (God's) Eyes
Contractions are fearful of the ominous bliss; mighty T Rex. Now we've reached that time, so classic. For our lips meet and our hearts ski under the dim fluorescent light she smiles, and so too do I. Ends are beginnings in our sin. Dancing into the night, we sing.

Abstract
there are so many types of rain light rain, heavy rain spring rain, summer rain the kind of rain that make you want to curl up with a good book, the kind the races down your car window as you look out at the tall trees whizzing by rain that you kiss in, rain that makes you feel alone sometimes it smells of new beginnings and sometimes it feels like you’re drowning and the eventually, it stops and you can hardly remember if you even like rain at all

I walk with an ache in my heart and an unsteady beat beckoning to be heard outside of the boundaries of my mind. I am homesick for places I have not yet been to. I walk with exhaustion. From the lack of surprise that surges through the foundations of my surroundings. Nothing is new. Therefore I am homesick Aching for new beginnings And excitement And the feeling of not knowing. I am homesick.

homesick
Don't they understand? We crave the very thing our loved ones are scared of. "It isn't healthy! It isn't normal! I'm concerned for you. I'm worried about you. Think about what you're doing to yourself. Do you think this is beautiful? Do you think you are beautiful? What are you going to do about this? You need help. I want to help you, let me help you. Look at what you're doing to yourself..." Who the hell do they think they are to tell us how we should act or feel? How would they know what we're going through? People like us are strong. We have our goals and intend to fight for them. **** what they say. I crave the unknown. I crave what others fear. Sever my pain away and open up new beginnings with your tool of mass destruction. © 2018 Omni Winters

Craving The Unknown
If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too: If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don’t deal in lies, Or being hated don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise; If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim, If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same:. If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools; If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings, And never breathe a word about your loss: If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!” If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much: If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

*At the beginning of time The moon looked upon the earth. And it smiled at its beauty. There was no ending. Only beginnings. It’s colors glowed in the hues of angels. The only red was in the night sky. No blood had ever spilled. Only the future lay ahead In its endless bounty. In the beginning of time When peace abounded. And no moon and star had ever shed a single tear.*

In the beginning
I'm running... Run away, run away, run away, run away I'm holding on desperately Run away, run away, run away, run away I'm holding on When it's all said and done everybody dies In this life ain't no happy endings Only pure beginnings followed by years of sinning and fake repentance The preacher says we were made in image of Lord To which I replied: "Are you sure? Even the murderer? Even the ***** Even the ***** running through ******* on tour?" With a good girl at home folding clothes and **** She's losing faith In him and he know this

Run away
From the humblest of beginnings Began a tough innings A family deprived His dad had died So to work he went To help pay the rent From a teen to a man In a short time span He had many a job Hard earned each “bob” He was a keeper of bees He picked beans and peas With marbles and shanghai He had a keen eye So rabbits he’d stalk Their pelts he sought A butcher and baker And fence post maker A fisherman and fruiterer And even spud picker A shearer of great ability Those shears he clicked with agility From morn to night He worked hard alright Met a girl and made her his wife Ten children now blessed his life He provided as best he could Forever working for their good A large family and so little money Life, of course, was not always sunny Simply he lived, simple his dwelling The trials he faced so very compelling A ****** awful thing was done A terrible tragedy stole his son With grief immeasurable and untold He held together; staying controlled Children struggled to forgive their mother As she left him and found another Yet for her he would always stand Always hoping to win back her hand Another tragedy claimed a limb We thought it would be the death of him His work, his wife, his health now gone Yet silently, painfully he continued on We knew his heart was terribly broken Yet always forgiveness he had spoken We knew he lived with daily pain But silent and strong he would remain His strength and courage was beyond belief But for him there would be no relief His children were now all grown He died, one night … alone

how does a kiss feel...
~~~~~ Even at this point in my life, i still, could never have my back to the door... I always face the window or the door itself... When the opposite is inevitable, there are no airs of safety, or thoughts of peace. What is it about doors, even windows? They are supposed to be symbols of new beginnings, new chances... But why don't i trust them enough, to have my back to them... Like someone,  or something evil lurks, waiting for me 'til i have relaxed my reflexes... The door and window, i always seek, always glad after I've gone out of each exit... But then, behind you, no matter what, there will always be another window, another D O O R                               O         O                                  O         O                       R O O D... I sometimes wonder: is it the doors? Or...is it me? Sally Copyright 2014 Rosalia Rosario A. Bayan
DOORS
An imaginary but desirable sense of control Created by the bully in my head Screaming at me, pressuring me, hurting me Encapsulating my mind as a second meninges. Impossible to separate my true thoughts From what it tells me, My conscious mind is tied to a cinder block And left to drown in its enticingly rough waves. My physical being constantly changing with the tide Unpredictable but regular, Shallow but deep. ****** into its infinite black hole, I am left feeling disgusted and ashamed Of all that is me. No longer am I able to decide the way in which My needs are met-if in fact they are met. As though I have DID, I am constantly bouncing From alter to alter Body to body. Blinded from looking directly into its sun, I am warmed and comforted by its rays While reassured that my doubts are unwarranted. If ever defied, it scolds and whips me, Like a master to his slave, A father to his child. The welts and cuts, gratefully rip into my Skin, muscle and bone – Punishment for my wrongdoings and self. I, immediately silenced Remove myself from society, Restricting contact, nourishment and emotions To nil. It is not until someone notices The beginnings of an eternal invisibility, That I am released and Able to breathe in The salty air of life.
