"australis" poems
Aurora borealis,
aurora australis.
Mare nostrum,
sub silentio,
sub secreto,
ad libitur,
as infinitum.
Ira furor brevis est,
amor suo iure.
Memento vivere,
in dubio,
in dolorosa,
in posse,
in nubibus,
in pace,
in spiritu et veritate,
in pleno,
nvne avt nvnquam,
ad vitam aeternam.

imagine the infinite
figure 8, as energy flow
running thru the earth.
being round, it has two
polarized chakric crowns.
the tantric male polarity:
Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis.
the tantric female polarity:
Southern Lights/Aurora Australis.
yet the figure 8 energy flow,
shows the tantric male/female
polarities have interpenetrated .
unified polarity...so it's north for
the sake of north.
south for the sake of south, beyond
that...

We are matter that doesn't,
within secret stars.
An elemental chance
between Venus & Mars.
Collisions are what made us,
reactions caused life.
Somewhere in the stardust,
we connected eye to eye.
Feelings spelled out
in patterned constellations.
Our energies connect
on the same vibration.
Before we were this,
we were something far away.
Attached to the rhythm
of our own night & day.
Your heat as the Sun.
My cool as the Moon.
Linked together like water,
so closely attuned.
Light-years passed with your absence;
A black hole in my heart.
Your departure caused an explosion
& tore us apart.
Once fused, now alone.
Drifting from our Supernova.
Confused & divided.
In the dark matter, we were over.
Through galaxies time erased
& I became something new.
I found my twin flame
& felt a different Sun, renew.
We grow & burn together,
looking up at the sky.
Now here, we are what each other needs,
until the day we die.
But here you are in front of me;
across millennia you appear.
To confuse my heart & mind?
To threaten what's truly dear?
Two Suns orbiting one Moon,
a satellite love.
Let me learn from this equation,
I pray to spirit above.
I learnt from the old.
I grow with the new.
Australis & Borealis,
let your light shine through.

The lights fill the sky
As we tell stories about our lives
Our pasts, present, and future
Laughing at every misspoken word
Even if things go south
Surely good things will be up and about
The lights may fade in a few minutes
But surely I know this wouldn't fade easily

I experienced the vicissitudes of Asia
Blue blood of Europe
The aboriginality of Africa
And the mysteries of America
I soaked my feet in the water of the nameless rivers
I moistened by the waves of bays, the seas and the oceans
The sapphire of the blue Nile won my heart
I splashed the cold waters of the Mare Darling on my face
I was astounded to see the orange river, the lake Titicaca, Victoria and Niagara falls
I saw the radiance of the icy Himalaya in the bright sunlight
I was completely spellbound by the splendour of the Olympus and the Kilimanjaro
During the day in a desert my feet got burnt by the heat of the sand
I stared at a handsome horseman
dressed in black in a wonderful starry night
I glanced at the seven wonders and the world heritage
I was hypnotized by the skyscrapers in the mega city
The tidy countrysides which were green with crops and vegetation brought peace to my mind
I enjoyed the companionship of Eskimos, penguins ,seals and polar bears in the polar region
Aurora borealis and aurora australis fascinated me
In orbit the annual motion
around the sun
and the diurnal rotation of the earth on its axis
I'm travelling around the world
I do not have my own home
The whole globe is my motherland

Carrera scrawling his notes for the
‘War for Australis Incognita’ sat beneath
a lush fruit bearing tree; Bob’s plan for the boy
seeming to going be into effect despite Bob’s
abandoning his original plan for him.
Charlotte putting the boy in shorter skirts
and matching the light lavender fabric
with purple stockings and red garters.
The boy’s bustier barely held his
flat-chested frame and she had pulled the
laces straight and true tight around his
torso squeezing the breath out of him
to give him cleavage where none was
to be had. Pinning his longish hair
into pigtails, scrubbing his face clean
with an astringent cold cream and applying
powder to his smooth face over which
she painted rouge, eye-shadow and lipstick.
Seeing Carrera writing busily below
the glistening red arctic apples, Nancy
approached the distracted writer.
Carrera was lighting his ***** pipe
when the boy whom for all the world
resembled an attractively winsome female
came over and sat with him.
“Excuse me, sir, may I ask the greatest favor of you?”
Not recognizing the boy despite having
never seen a teenage girl on ship
Carrera hastily pocketed the smelly pipe
and turned his attention to the big blue
eyes before him. The lips were thin squiggly
lines that spoke is a whiny rasp
that was not entirely unappealing.
“Yes, my childe, what can I do for you?”
“I would certainly love to eat of the tree
growing above you but alas, I cannot reach
the sweetest fruit. Would you be so kind
as to hoist me up so that I may gather
a few you would perhaps share with me?”
“Why, of course, girly. Here, stand on my
shoulders,” said the poet kneeling to allow
the slim fellow to plant a hobnailed boot
onto his broad shoulder. Carrera couldn’t
resist raising his head once the boy
was up on both shoulder reaching for the
ripe apples of a new sort, the boy using
his petticoats like a basket to catch the
fruit he could swat from the low branches.
Carrera was staring straight up his petticoats
to the visible stocking tops and garters.
Carrera’s mind swimming with fantasies
of derring-do and adventures that he assiduously
avoided any first-hand knowledge of,
his gaze locked on the baggy breeched bottom
below the boy’s skirts, Carrera thought he’d
been struck by something like love at first sight.

Come dance with me love
on this magical night
under the Aurora Australis
breathtaking polar light
a sight of beauty indeed
the vista of night sky
Southern lights firing
as solar winds feed
magical light show colours fly
snow beneath our feet forgotten
as breath freezes in the air
magnetic energy excites oxygen
caused by beautiful solar flares
come dance with me my darling
forgetting all our cares
under this rare gift from the Sun
although seen in the dead
of a freezing winters night
come lay in the snow
all cold now forgotten
as our pounding hearts take flight.
