"asteroids" poems
he was her world, her whole life depends on him. She didn't care about the ups and downs, hell or disaster. He was her happiness. but he didn't pay attention to any of it. For him, she was dull, empty and raw. Like she was the core of the earth or even the asteroids—a pest to the universe. for him, she was madness. their feelings are both opposite. it was like hate and love trying to bond each other. like a volcano erupting but it was insanely beautiful. the more you hate, the more you love—a myth from our ancestors. hopefully destiny can find true love. hopefully he will realize how pure and lovely she is. hopefully they find true love to each other.

metal and non metal
Mario hits it with the sounds of bodies hitting plexiglass. My horses hit it without a sound. They want to escape it. And I am trying to drive this dune buggy off this cliff, but the clipping is strong here. In Pac-Man, the tunnels were circular. I don’t know if people realized that they were trapped in a sphere. In Asteroids when you get to the edge of the universe, you begin again. And that Snake. His body could stretch all over his world looping, but he could never eat his tail. If all your electrons were in the right place, and all the wall’s electrons were in the right place. You could feasibly walk through the wall. What would you do while in the wall? Think. Fear. The superposition could rip your body into ragdoll parts. When I turned clipping off, I expected the freedom to walk through the wall and suddenly the floor fell out from under me. Every time I respawn I feel like my inventory is heavier, and my flamethrower burns colder.

The wall at the end of all videogames
Arrange my mind's galaxies and planets. Sedate angry asteroids and burning comets. Align for me my heart's constellations. Clear the clouded nebulae in my intentions. Turn the moon gently to look upon me, So I may find the sea of tranquillity...                               Tonight.

Tranquillity
What would occur if gravity failed me and I was lifted far into the heavens, Past the clouds and into the dark abyss of space? I would have nothing with me but my mind to reflect the world we all know. I wouldn’t think for long however, I would be to busy dancing around with the planets, to remember the harsh words that were said that night. I would be found hopping around on Saturn’s rings, giving her all the love I could. I would be found  talking to the Sun, telling her how we all missed her when she went away for the nights, without her we lay restless and cold waiting for her return. I would be found comforting Pluto, See he as well was easily forgotten. I would meet all the stars that make up the night sky, and say how we are all inspired by the beauty they give off, how we all glance up at them at our greatest moment of weakness and remember we aren’t alone, whispering to them all our troubles knowing that they will always be there to listen. And while everyone goes to sleep, I will finally join them and dream of never leaving this world that I have entered. I will finally forget you and the lies you told, laying restless no longer. So if you need to contact me, I can be found  floating across galaxies, talking to the asteroids, sharing stories of how I thought it would be the end if you left, laughing about the fact that everything was actually better. I will be among the stars, searching no more for love, because I am loved by the planets and all the stars. I no longer dread on not having the love of another, because there is far more love out there then in you.   The Earth still spins and the Sun still shines, the only difference being I don’t love you anymore.

When my heart hung in the stars I'm convinced my better parts got lost on the dark side of the moon. the doctors say I'm dreaming but I could swear to you that the man on the moon is crying asteroids and wilted flower petals. we revolve around the same sun but our revolutions although intertwined, are chasing different horizons longing for unfamiliar faces. the stars are in my eyes but it will take years of staring into broken mirrors before I find the planet that my smile resides on.

Revolutions
Blink and a star is on its way to sleep, I'm standing so close to Jupiter, I can feel its winds sweep me off my feet, I'm an astronaut without a name, I'm an astronaut without a name. Consider this, I'm away on a cruise to Saturn's ring tonight. Consider this, The Sun's so far, it's so cold, I can't feel the light, You penetrate my gravity armour, You strike me with your black hole armada. Neptune looks so lonely at night, She longs for Venus but she's so far away, Four hours at the speed of light, But she's bound by the chains of gravity, She's bound by the chain's of gravity. Consider this, I'm a million asteroids left alone in the emptiness, Consider this, I reach out for the blue but I burn in the atmosphere, Your skies have set me on fire, Burning in the flames of your desire. The birth of a star painted in a supernova, The glowing halo of a mothership, Is all that was left over. They reach out for the sun, They reach out for the sun. Consider this, They don't have big black eyes like Mother told us. Consider this, They look like him and her we spoke to on the bus. But you flew your guns at them, You rushed your bombs at them. It was on the news that she brought down the aliens, They looked like me and you but she went after them, But nobody could be found on the ship that brought them here, The red lights on Mars they felt was safer than this fear, And yet she found one of them, The one who saved them all, The one who chose to stay, And take the fall. The unnamed astronaut. The unnamed astronaut.

for those who are concerned; I dispersed within the vastness of outer space. My body, once caged all the stars, are finally in its resting place. Maybe here, I am finally seen by those who romanticize the deathly night. I am at a tranquil state, where all the planets are aligned just right. No deaths, no violence, no wars, no fights. No existential pain or crisis to plague a human's state of mind. I am bound within the molecules of space and time, dancing on asteroids, I am entwined. Finally, my body is free from the darkest of pains that had wallowed in my rib cage. All the bottled emotions that had forever kept me enraged. I have exploded into a beautiful mess, now the size of silica. I am in motion, twinkling for those bellow in such a sorrowful world, as they paint me in Starry Night replicas. They'll be envious to hear that I am conversing with Van Gogh himself. We are in the cloudless night, a painting in a museum, and history within books on a bookshelf. We're sprinkled in the dark like a beautiful combustion. All the answers written in the stars for what we once questioned. He tells me "be clearly aware of the stars and infinity on high." And that was enough for me to just get by. I am a galaxy, freed in the vastness of the universe. Into this new life of neighboring planets and meteors, my body will immerse. I am the stars you see on your lonely nights. And this time, please take your time to analyze my light. I know I'm a mess, but I can make it beautiful. For what it's worth, I once took the form of a dying artist, whom was so mutable.

she expected f i r e w o r k s when she first kissed him. little did she know that she was going to become the fireworks. she was an easy target, and he had good aim. as soon as she f e l l into his grasp, he was quick to send her back from where she came. crowds gathered. fathers' hands silenced their children's mouths as his loaded her into the mortar. mothers' hands covered their children's ears as his lit the fuse. she was shot forward by a merciless puff of dragon's breath, and as she looked over her shoulder, she saw the ash leaking from his nostrils. stars beckoned to her. glimmering, shimmering, shining stars extended their fiery hands to her already outstretched ones. she rose higher and higher, filling her lungs with the last bit of oxygen that was left, and screamed. he screamed. her flaming body parts rained down in the form of asteroids, striking him. stars spelled out her name and pulsed weakly like his dying heartbeat. they both went from "are" to "were" in a matter of seconds, and everyone knew that their chemical reaction was triggered by fireworks.

I was once a lost star Trying to find home in every galaxy that i come across Wandering through every asterisms Tracing the images in my mind Making me wonder if one day I, too, will be part of an art in the starry night sky Light years away, i travelled Meteors, asteroids, comets passed me by They said hello but after a while, already waved goodbye And then I came across you A star, which happens to be lost, too We danced through the moons of Jupiter We sang across the Milky Way We even made magical rainbows On planets along our way And for the first time I felt That not only I, was a lost star anymore Together, we make constellations Through the celestial space With our incandescent light That illuminates the whole sky With that I came to realize That we finally found our home In each other’s radiance

Lost Stars
On the beach at night alone, As the old mother sways her to and fro, singing her husky song, As I watch the bright stars shining—I think a thought of the clef of the universes, and of the future. A vast similitude interlocks all, All spheres, grown, ungrown, small, large, suns, moons, planets, comets, asteroids, All the substances of the same, and all that is spiritual upon the same, All distances of place, however wide, All distances of time—all inanimate forms, All Souls—all living bodies, though they be ever so different, or in different worlds, All gaseous, watery, vegetable, mineral processes—the fishes, the brutes, All men and women—me also; All nations, colors, barbarisms, civilizations, languages; All identities that have existed, or may exist, on this globe, or any globe; All lives and deaths—all of the past, present, future; This vast similitude spans them, and always has spann’d, and shall forever span them, and compactly hold them, and enclose them.

On The Beach At Night, Alone
when the lace from my shirt fell away, you helped me tie it back together, even though i know you'd love to love me uncovered i knew, you cradled the scars the sunlight gave me, you kissed between my ribs where the swollen skin lay tender, you would have stitched them up if you knew how i remember the ultrasound my fingers took of your heart, i could see it beating red and angry in your chest, trying to unfasten the ties that held it inside my palms were hot, but they healed you my scabbed knuckles brushed over your eyes and you settled into me like a gasp, slowly but alive sweetheart, i would end the earth in one swift movement if i could watch the asteroids fall in your eyes

Ζεύς and Ἀμφιτρίτη
her tightrope was a feather, balance weighing on the tips of wings held suspended above the ground summer skin taut against her bones, thousands of stars threaded beneath each of her freckles she found solace in satellites, the man in the moon winking from his place among the planets she felt galaxies coursing through her veins, the Milky Way bubbling up from her belly and somewhere within -- tiny heartbeats mirroring the shower of asteroids falling from the sky

If you were to ask me what boredom was, I’d tell you were boring and to stop asking stupid questions, but if you really persisted, I would tell you boredom is the tick tock on the white clock on the white wall of our English classroom. it’s the thrill of seeing how many dried crackers you can cram into your mouth before your mouth becomes a cracked and dried desert. Boredom is making up haikus, Alone but not quite knowing, How many syllables go on each line Boredom is haikus. Boredom is the decapitation of innocent grass blades as you listen to an unenthused sports teacher the blood of your unwitting enemies splattered on your fingers. Boredom is this boring poem Now you were never one for boredom; you enjoyed sitting on the grass, getting a soggy *** you enjoyed the crunch of crackers snapping on your tongue, you really enjoyed and I still do not know why making up haikus you enjoyed the long languorous spaces between lines... and I guess that really was just you. But recently the silence has been getting short its rudely interrupted by forced laughs and nervous glances from eyes that recently went shopping You jump at every crunch or crack, scared of well… I don’t know . And your poetry, Well, you barely write anymore because you just can’t seem to muster up the energy and you’re just tired and its nothing to worry about and it doesn’t matter anyway because you have an English essay due tomorrow yeah- And the grass misses your *** And I miss you And there’s someone in your place, a lethargic parody, too frightened to pick up the phone, frightened by nothing at all There’s a black hole in the shape of a friend hidden behind the comets of comedy and asteroids of avoidance there’s a small hole I reach in… grasping for a hand, I catch glimpses. tufts of hair. old coffee smiles but… nothing so, I try again I reach in, grasping for a hand, or even a bone I catch glimpses of skin, hair, teeth, bone. Nothing and each time I throw myself into the silent abyss, batter past the comets and asteroids and reach into that dark expanse I find less and less, I miss you I am right outside, whenever you’re ready to, we can talk a bit I’m trying my best , and I really care for you , but haikus are dumb accept it, it’s true. The spot of grass is waiting right where you left off, the crackers in the tin are there just waiting to be scoffed. if ever in that silence you feel yourself alone just know that in my house, you’ve found yourself a home.

Like rose petals in a wind Souls caught in a whirlwind I feel your body collide with mine Friction of your lips on mine Sweet as honey I can taste the essence of your soul In a crazy spin we lose control Slipping in too deep Swept up - flying high Like asteroids colliding, exploding In a passion burning bright With you in love I wanna be I won’t be made to fear In love with you I wanna disappear

Rose Petals
I met this girl not too long ago bit what I loved about her most was the gold in her soul She wasn't a church girl, she did have a past but I didn't care because her future was where my mind was at So she went back home but we did stay in touch we laughed and joked, but over time I developed a crush it wasn't based in lust, not love but somewhere in between it seemed like it was perfect, at least to me so I got my nerve up, and told her how I felt how I would try to give her the moon and stars and the asteroids as a belt She said she was glad I confessed to her my feelings but she was talking to someone else, I was hurt but figured I could keep on dealing Then one day her and the other break up I played crying shoulder again because I knew they couldn't make up can't you see I wanted your heart and not what's between your legs so I held on and rocked with her, opting to wait it out again, I told her I still had feelings for her, and that I was going to be happy either way she wasn't waiting on anybody I could understand that, but crying shoulder I'd no longer play, so I stopped talking to her, and aimed to cut her off but I miss her.. I think I'm going soft.

When I Used To Love H.E.R
my mind is a planetarium where each memory is a meteorite and every apology burns like a dying star. enclosed in the vast celestial stretch of my skull, planets tend to vanish without the courtesy of a goodbye, but i'm just happy to have housed them for a little while. my projector is faulty and sometimes, the images i try to convey become obscured ("asteroids may be larger than they appear"). i can't help but speak in broken constellations, and hope that you somehow understand that i have nothing but the best intentions. not to mention, i've seen a lot of visitors, though none have ever stayed for long, after they've surveyed that i'm nothing more than a bunch of chaotic galaxies. i rubbed the collection of stardust and debris from my eyes and to my surprise, found that you hadn't gone anywhere. instead, you were there, floating through my solar systems. you've got me orbiting around your finger like the rings around the sixth planet from the sun. i come undone a little more with every word you breathe. my bones are made of moon rock, aching like cold craters, waiting patiently for the radiant warmth of the sun, or your breath, or your touch, whichever is closest. the most stellar display of stars i have ever seen are not in the belt of orion, nor anywhere within the milky way - instead they are lightyears beyond, resting comfortably behind your lips. - m.f.

Old man they say there's magic In your friendly face above They say your smile can turn the tide And inspire a human love So I prayed you'd sprinkle moondust On her sweet lips soft and warm So when I get to kiss her The kiss could last till dawn But your old smile is only Valleys of the moon If lovers give you credit I hate bursting their balloon For her love would be all mine If your magic was divine Your smile is only Valleys of the moon Your skills are just a legend Tied to that old cratered face If you could cast a spell on her I would know her warm embrace But those asteroids that carved your smile Were just an act of chance You couldn't help me reach her You know zero of romance For your smile is only Valleys of the moon If lovers give you credit I hate bursting their balloon For her love would be all mine If your magic was divine Your smile is only Valleys of the moon [Music by Dawn Diamond]

Valleys of the Moon
i love the moon wrapped around my neck the small crescent moon bouncing happily on my heart as we hold hands that same beautiful moon in which i trace with my fingers feeling the smooth moonstone be imprinted with my fingerprints that same affectionate moon as it glided on your chest when we gasped for more air and you held me close to your heart as the moonlight shined softly from the window that same wonderstruck moon we would fight under tears that reflected the moonstone always streaming down my face that same gleaming moon that you would wipe my tears with the hands i had felt for years and all i could do was look up and dream of that same distant moon where i had found out about your disloyalty and i felt myself slipping into vast space putting myself in front of asteroids just to feel something that same sickening moon taunting me with the way it just stays up there, coming out only at night only to observe and listen for chaos that reigns after dark that same wicked moon that was suffocating me in my sleep when i would lie next to your empty shell gasping for air as i wipe my moonstone tears that same dreadful moon as it watched me deteriorate in your arms burning holes into my chest dwindling my soul until it left me hollow i... used to love the moon when i knew that it was lovingly wrapped around my neck by you and you would feel the moonstone with your lips i used to love the moon until the last star died and i ripped it off from my neck and drove myself into a black hole that same cynical moon that you proclaimed your love to me too, was the same ******* moon that my entire being was shattered by you ... i ******* hate the moon.

i love the moon wrapped around my neck the small crescent moon bouncing happily on my heart as we hold hands that same beautiful moon in which i trace with my fingers feeling the smooth moonstone be imprinted with my fingerprints that same affectionate moon as it glided on your chest when we gasped for more air and you held me close to your heart as the moonlight shined softly from the window that same wonderstruck moon we would fight under tears that reflected the moonstone always streaming down my face that same gleaming moon that you would wipe my tears with the hands i had felt for years and all i could do was look up and dream of that same distant moon where i had found out about your disloyalty and i felt myself slipping into vast space putting myself in front of asteroids just to feel something that same sickening moon taunting me with the way it just stays up there, coming out only at night only to observe and listen for chaos that reigns after dark that same wicked moon that was suffocating me in my sleep when i would lie next to your empty shell gasping for air as i wipe my moonstone tears that same dreadful moon as it watched me deteriorate in your arms burning holes into my chest dwindling my soul until it left me hollow i... used to love the moon when i knew that it was lovingly wrapped around my neck by you and you would feel the moonstone with your lips i used to love the moon until the last star died and i ripped it off from my neck and drove myself into a black hole that same cynical moon that you proclaimed your love to me too, was the same ******* moon that my entire being was shattered by you ... i ******* hate the moon.

But, you know what I think? The most beautiful skies Are inside of your eyes Stop, don’t blink Let me sink a little deeper I don’t need a telescope to see That supernova Expanding infinitely Like a ripple that a pebble makes The clicking shutter That takes all of me in Houston, we have a problem I can’t escape this black hole It’s pulling me in I’ll reach out into that darkness Brave all of your ice and coldness For that little cosmos with veins of gold; Shades of blue, Green and brown, So simple, Nonjudgmental as a penny That’s been left out in the rain Many times before Once more I’ve caught your glancing flit Asteroids approaching I take a direct hit Falling endlessly, consumed Among the billions of stars in your eyes Like Major Tom, I would accept that fate, To float in limbo Lost in that space Out of sight If worm holes existed I’d sink through all that Depth, Come through the other side And find that alternate universe-- The dimension where you would have me. There is no corner of space to call home without you Three. Two. One. Lift-off. ★。/|\。★ 。☆。 。☆。 ☆。 ★。 ☆.

Eyes like Outerspace
The stars glare at me As I lie awake on my bed, Imagining constellations on my ceiling Truth be told, I imagine I am gazing up at them, But they are too stubborn They wouldn't listen if I told them Their twinkle in the night sky Looked like a sparkling waterfall Their loyalty to the night Is unrivaled in the universe Their blazing bodies Bring light in the darkness Their presence every night Gives me ease and I sleep well Nibbling on the corner of A fluffy planetary nebula, Swimming with a cluster Of dreaming asteroids I imagine all these things Happening above my head

When wisps of dandelions lay still in the blanket of your hair, and your eyes can no longer say I love you, without your lips moving. I know my world has ended. We stood on the porch with the wind chimes blowing songs through my ears. There's still something there through this Armageddon. I recollect the curve of your smile or the shape of your face in every single pool of water I come across. Your eyes had a haunting quality about them, as they look through my hollowed out frame, and see what wars I've fought. It was your time darling, your time I bought. I know, my world is ending. The skin of strangers bone's looks dimmer, and your heart looks darker. When it's revealed in the quiet of our room. That distorted haziness your voice gets when you're tired, is there all the time. I can never help but wonder what I did wrong. Asteroids come hurling towards me at a thousand miles an hour, The world is ending. Just as predicted. Where are you now? Clairvoyant and always knew just what to do. What happens now that I've been left behind. What happens now that I can't pick up the pieces? Your promises never looked more beautiful, than when you couldn't keep them. Lies never seemed more eloquent than when you couldn't stop telling them. Your face it haunts me. Your words they weaken me. Your hours we devoted to one another- cut through me. I'm not afraid anymore, to do this alone. Let the flames engulf me, let my skin hang loosely from the bone. Let me drown. Let me fade. Let me waste away. Let me be reborn. Let me live again. Let me find a way back to earth. Let my soul go on. There was a time I thought of adoration when mention of you, but it's now replaced with bitter resentment. In the miscalculated performance, you couldn't be faithful. And now I see- dandelions are just weeds. And now I see- I see everything. The honesty your spirit lacked, the lies you spoke from cracked lips. And the venemous kisses you placed upon my skin, I was poisoned- to think I saw everything from your perception and ignored my own crumbling world. Now, we are nothing.
