"ascends" poems
Such A Lovely Bubble Rise
Bulbs And Spark To The Heart
I Kept Watching You With My Eyes
Hearing Your Voice Awakens Art
I Picked The Words In My Poem
To Point Them On You Like Apollo's Arc
On My Eyes A Desire For The Aim
Reaches Jupiter To Leave A Mark
So I Can Say It On Each Verse
Through The Soft Arrow Of Anteros
Till The Endless Part Of The Universe
Beyond The Level Of The Erotes
With A Sublime Blessed Grace
I Described The Beauty Of Your Face
Pale White Conquered The Place
Such A Stardust Perfected The Space
Then You Paused The Time!, It Never Ends!
Astonished While Our Spirits Ascends
So I Drew You On Every Potential Star
With Endless Feelings! Unconquerable Grips!
You Rised And Forgot Who The Humans Are!
You Teased The Sun To Touch Your Lips
Once It Got Very Close, Still Pretty Far!
Your Care Launched A Thousand Ships
While Your Innocence Nags And Glare
What An Existence!, Such A Cosmos She Grips
A Galaxy That Craters The Beauty Of Mercury!
Drives Venus Jealous To His Very End!
Then Uranus Gave Up On Such A Mystery!
Pluto Wolf Whistled His Frozen Wind!
Mars Was Not Able To Belive His Own Eye!
Neptune Was Busy Losing His Own Mind!
Saturn And His Ring Felt Like A Fly!
Earth Was The Blessed Land!
Yet Jupiter Was The One To Tie!

A late lark twitters from the quiet skies;
And from the west,
Where the sun, his day's work ended,
Lingers as in content,
There falls on the old, grey city
An influence luminous and serene,
A shining peace.
The smoke ascends
In a rosy-and-golden haze. The spires
Shine, and are changed. In the valley
Shadows rise. The lark sings on. The sun,
Closing his benediction,
Sinks, and the darkening air
Thrills with a sense of the triumphing night--
Night with her train of stars
And her great gift of sleep.
So be my passing!
My task accomplished and the long day done,
My wages taken, and in my heart
Some late lark singing,
Let me be gathered to the quiet west,
The sundown splendid and serene,
Death.

He is a link between this and the coming world.
He is
A pure spring from which all thirsty souls may drink.
He is a tree watered by the River of Beauty, bearing
Fruit which the hungry heart craves;
He is a nightingale, soothing the depressed
Spirit with his beautiful melodies;
He is a white cloud appearing over the horizon,
Ascending and growing until it fills the face of the sky.
Then it falls on the flows in the field of Life,
Opening their petals to admit the light.
He is an angel, send by the goddess to
Preach the Deity's gospel;
He is a brilliant lamp, unconquered by darkness
And inextinguishable by the wind. It is filled with
Oil by Istar of Love, and lighted by Apollon of Music.
He is a solitary figure, robed in simplicity and
Kindness; He sits upon the lap of Nature to draw his
Inspiration, and stays up in the silence of the night,
Awaiting the descending of the spirit.
He is a sower who sows the seeds of his heart in the
Prairies of affection, and humanity reaps the
Harvest for her nourishment.
This is the poet -- whom the people ignore in this life,
And who is recognized only when he bids the earthly
World farewell and returns to his arbor in heaven.
This is the poet -- who asks naught of
Humanity but a smile.
This is the poet -- whose spirit ascends and
Fills the firmament with beautiful sayings;
Yet the people deny themselves his radiance.
Until when shall the people remain asleep?
Until when shall they continue to glorify those
Who attain greatness by moments of advantage?
How long shall they ignore those who enable
Them to see the beauty of their spirit,
Symbol of peace and love?
Until when shall human beings honor the dead
And forget the living, who spend their lives
Encircled in misery, and who consume themselves
Like burning candles to illuminate the way
For the ignorant and lead them into the path of light?
Poet, you are the life of this life, and you have
Triumphed over the ages of despite their severity.
Poet, you will one day rule the hearts, and
Therefore, your kingdom has no ending.
Poet, examine your crown of thorns; you will
Find concealed in it a budding wreath of laurel.

Love trusts, lust twists
Love rains, lust drains
Love reaches, lust catches
Love couples, lust combines
Love retains, lust detains
Love relies, lust relays
Love cares, lust caresses
Love binds, lust blinds
Love floats, lust flees
Love belongs, lust longs
Love ascends, lust descends
Love fames, lust defames
Love creates, lust recreates
Love commands, lust demands
Love chooses, lust chases
Love boosts, lust boasts
Love at heart
Lust in mind
Love in lust is good
Lust in love is better
Love likes privacy
Lust looks for piracy
Love opens lust
Lust closes love
Love is slow, lust is fast
Love is steady and stable
Lust is mobile and fragile
Love is reliable, lust is liable
Love is long, lust is short
Love is homogeneous
Lust is heterogeneous
Love is defensive
Lust is offensive
Love is precious
Lust is pernicious
Love is supportive
Lust is supplementary
Love is refined
Lust is defined
Love betters life
Lust batters it.
Love has character
Lust has conduct
Love wins over
Lust weans out
Love combines
Lust divides
Love is cool
Lust is crazy
Love is peaceful
Lust is pleasant
Love is wholesome
Lust is piecemeal
Lust comes first
Love becomes best
Love is progressive
Lust is aggressive
Lust laminates
Love illuminates
Love is slow n steady
Lust is hasty n nasty
Love is dense, lust is tense
Lust is conditioned,
Love is air-conditioned
Lust is lovely to begin with
Love is lustrous to end up
Love heals, lust wounds
Love owns, lust disowns
Love is onus, lust is onerous
Love is basic, lust is allowance
Love conforms, lust confuses
Love binds, lust blinds
Be aware of love
Beware of lust

Let the fair blend
of love and lust

With a smile the martyr ascends.
Killing for peace.
Dieing for peace.
Thrives for peace.
With a smile the martyr ascends.
Paradise in eyes they die.
Tears in eyes they die.
Twisted ties of us all seem to die.
With a smile the martyr ascends.
As he ascends he lives on.
Everyone mocks the martyr and where he will live on.
Some claim he will not live on.
Martyr martyr I believe you live on.
Your cross can carry you,
Into the caressing arms of your dreams.
Martyr martyr can you take me?
I've wanted to be happy for so long.
With a smile the martyr ascends.
They all laugh.
Shunning him they all laugh.
Mocking his one hit or miss chance to finally find peace they all laugh.
With a smile the martyr ascends.
They all think less of you I am sorry.
They all hate you for your sacrifice I am sorry.
Your god will reward you because it too will be sorry.
Martyr martyr I believe you live on.
Your cross can carry you,
Into the caressing arms of your dreams.
Martyr martyr can you take me?
I've wanted to be happy for so long.

A poet on the run,
he's escaping his own head.
This ****** broken son,
stands to where he's fled.
Quiet; maybe it's best,
that a pen's his only friend.
They're pounding on his chest,
yet only his hand ascends.
So many words wasted,
that he should've said.
"All of y'all are faceless,
to me you're just the dead,"
Because somewhere along the journey,
his humanity faded too.
They laughed and called him 'worthy,'
as his pupils changed their hue.
"Dead, you're all dead!
Can y'all truly not see?
Take your souls, and leave my bed,
before I forget who I used to be"

LOVE, on wood,
Is raised
Perpendicular
Into the grey sky.
Below
The intense agony
And silent victim
Stand the military
Gambling
For his apparel.
Mary and Mary Magdalene lament...
Above,
Utters of despair, forgiveness...
Then death.
Imperceptible
To the organic eye,
His Spirit ascends into the opening
Sky;
And there in the empyrean
He bides his time
For the Love---
Of ALL mankind.

Before the sun ascends
Through dawn's first clouds.
Hold on to the now pastel sky-
Of a late November morning.
Let the waking world below
slowly warm your spirit,
Play a song to soothe the pain / remember, but don't fear it-
All this beauty of what is to come
can only ever be made real
When shared with those who understand
Intrinsic- all you feel.

A certain wildness can still be found within a heart
When a new scent fills the air
A distinctive flicker of flame to restart
A smoldering ash
Lying there
A rising mist ascends from a pool thought run dry
Floating and flying in the air
Weaving intricate patterns to erase the shy
From within the heart
Beating there
A vanished voice is heard once again throughout
Now softly ringing crystal clear
Reigniting a certain wildness in a scented shout
Erasing all shyness
Waiting here
Tender footsteps dance into these waiting hollows
Sweetly kissing fire anew
Promising joy in all my tomorrows
Filled with the wonderful
Scent, of you

Can you hear the voice of God?
Can you hear Him?
Whispering through the tall trees.
Can you hear the voice of God?
Can you hear Him?
Calling through the sweet song
of the chickadee.
Can you hear the voice of God?
Can you hear Him?
In the hushed silence of a
clear night sky full of stars.
Can you hear the voice of God?
Can you hear Him?
In the quiet flapping of a butterfly's
gentle wings.
Can you hear the voice of God?
Can you hear Him?
In the lazy hum of the honeybee's
flight,
as she ascends and descends upon
blossoms in summer's radiant light.
Can you hear the voice of God?
Can you hear Him?
In the lion's mighty roar.
Can you hear Him?
In the waves of the sea which
crash upon the shore.
Can you hear the voice of God?
Calling out to your inmost soul.
Saying,
"Come to Me,
come and rest.
Receive forgiveness.
Let My love heal you.
Open the door of your heart to
Me .
For I stand at the door and knock."
Can you hear the voice of God?
O weary traveller upon life's way.
He longs to comfort you in His Love.
And chase your fears away.
Can you hear?
Can you hear?
Will you say,
"Speak Lord, I'm listening."
For then...
You will hear.
The voice of God.

We walk upon the dock,
skinny dipping swimming in our Moonrise Kingdom,
in the sea we swim with saline skin,
as the Moon rise ascends with Mars patiently waiting,
where are we,
we are in a place many call paradise,
suppose that’s as good of a word for it as anything,
raw rock lobster ceviche no married time just maritime,
mirrored minds,
looking through the Looking Glass,
brewing brines,
the home brewed stew is cooking fast,
there are plenty of fish in the sea,
it’s just up to you to cast,
the only problem with magical moments,
is they are always gone to fast,
basking,
in her stare,
brackish
taste in the air,
Her eyes reflect the light of the Moonrise,
the shine reflects from moon to hair,
and we are both grateful for each other,
because we could be anywhere in the world but we are here,
her eyes reflect the light of the Moonrise,
she is as soft as white sand beaches,
but her shell,
her shell is as hard as stone crab no ceviche,
teach us,
teacher,
show me the Love,
class is always in session,
show me the Light,
show me the truth in your lessons,
blessing,
this world with her touch,
she commands where she goes,
she stands steady when she walks,
which is quite a contrast,
to this sea which sways below this dock,
we dive in,
alive when,
we swim,
within the waters with our bare skin,
bare skin,
under the light of our Moonrise Kingdom,
no where else to be but where we are,
so we’ll be here until Kingdom come…

Here, I sail to regions unknown.
On the tides of bliss, you are shown.
Your sweet strokes can calm my heart.
As fear and pain depart.
How the sun is dim to your smile.
West winds blow as I dream of the Isle.
For one day, we will lock our hands.
Upon the golden sands...
Writhe and roar! Sea and tempest grow!
Rise, my Dutchman! Rock to and fro!
Set the sails and man all the helms!
Postpone our journey's end.
Death ascends upon the throne.
As wild as I am alone.
Come to the sea, and cut through the waves.
Hurry to your watery grave!
And my love, who can't be restrained.
I will vow that I'll make you pay!
Drag them, bind them, take their souls!
And hear the death bell toll!
For my love, I gave you my heart.
So that we will never part.
Forever you were my always.
I'll set the sea ablaze.
How I've dreamed we'd meet on the lands.
Words of love have crumbled to sand.
For years, I drown with misery.
I want my liberty...
Unlike you, my heart isn't chained.
Hear my ***** feel my pain!
Lost and cold, my heart knows no rest!
Within this dead man's chest...

I spend my nights getting drunk
on whispers that ring
the promises of tomorrow
and days counting
cornflakes in my milk like
birthday candles that never melt.
but whether
the sun is rising
or the silver moon ascends
you’re the caffeine
that trickles through
my veins.

dear most lovely one,
Here I sit, bed ridden in sight of the setting sun. This weary mind is weathered from pain and grief and these features are spread too thin to see youthful man inside my heart. In this room of sterile whiteness, shadows grow into each other, Preying on my feeble time. Despair would have captured me long ago had it not your memory. I have thought of you every day since the day we met so long ago when we were but children. And until the breath ascends out of this wrinkled shell, you will be with me. My love, my friend, my other half.
It's been 42 years since you and I last spoke. And the time I have is so brief, I know we never will again. Please just know that my unquenchable heart will beat it's last moment in your hands. I gave it to you once and it has always been yours ever since. My sleep is around the bend and when I am returned to the earth and tides, I will finally be able to embrace you again, In the wind.
Goodnight my sweetest part.

from a dream
...My student's name is Ari
and he's dying...
“No serious talk today!” he warns
He wants to laugh –
and so we do
He wants the Patriarchs and Prophets
on this tropical island
He names them doing something funny
and I pick up where he leaves off--
with the second line:
“Elijah, with his ravens on a blow-up raft...”
“...Ascends with ham sandwich, sipping wine!”
“Jeremiah throwing mud *****
“...at Zedekiah's white garage!”
We rewrite the Old Testament
laughing till we cry
“Now that's what I'm talkin' about!”
He's pumped
and kicks that rebel trashcan 'cross the room
...and suddenly shouts out--
“For everything there is a season...!”
I do not finish this one....
“I'll tell Solomon you said Hi”

As a pale phantom with a lamp
Ascends some ruin’s hainted stair,
So glides the moon along the damp
Mysterious chambers of the air.
Now hidden in cloud, and now revealed,
As if this phantom, full of pain,
Were by the crumbling walls concealed,
And at the windows seen again.
Until at last, serene and proud
In all the splendor of her light,
She walks the terraces of cloud,
Supreme as Empress of the Night.
I look, but recognize no more
Objects familiar to my view;
The very pathway to my door
Is an enchanted avenue.
All things are changed. One mass of shade,
The elm-trees drop their curtains down;
By palace, park, and colonnade
I walk as in a foreign town.
The very ground beneath my feet
Is clothed with a diviner air;
While marble paves the silent street
And glimmers in the empty square.
Illusion! Underneath there lies
The common life of every day;
Only the spirit glorifies
With its own tints the sober gray.
In vain we look, in vain uplift
Our eyes to heaven, if we are blind;
We see but what we have the gift
Of seeing; what we bring we find.

As Mars ascended,
One split in two;
The mitosis of fact
Splitting right through.
An anaphase ritual
Lining the floor,
Where I wanted mine,
And you wanted more.
But Venus was kind
When last she was here
And gave us a gift
Of temporal fear,
So we’d done this before
And the God was decried,
Yet out of the darkness of space
He cried:
‘Oh come to me Father,
I shan’t be denied.’
And Saturn, he heard
As he fought with Rhea,
And looked at his mother
And the remains of Theia.
A plan came to mind,
A clever time trick,
And we were caught fast
By the Great Malefic.
As Saturn ascended,
We split up again,
With no time to heal,
Our love was in vain;
For Venus had long since
Bored of our space,
And our love had begun
The sad telophase.

Oh, why doth a caged bird sing?
Such blissful tunes contrast somber winter's gray,
a myriad of wonder and saccharine kisses
so sweet to hear, so poignant a feel
Oh, tell me why, why doth the caged bird sing
when e'er there naught be good to sing of?
"You are safe here,"
coos cruel crow keeper coolly
"from the owl and the hawk and their mal' ways."
his tones are sharp as swords
so ill and keen as bitter thorns.
Oh why doth the caged bird sing?
"Why, oh why doth ye caged bird sing?"
calls the mockingbird sweetly, returning the caged bird's song
"out of lonesome, sir" sighs the caged bird
and so he ascends on swift, heaven-fit wings
and releases the caged bird, and the two sing as one
now as two free birds shall sing a-merry

*Mother of many waters
the manner with which she ascends
is sympathetically informed
we are a running spring
from her womb
flowing along the magical line
of peaks and summits
to cascading fiery birthright
and the rain fell
and the snow settled
and the ice theologized
to remind us
the outside world still worships
her eruptive embers*
