The dice in motion,
Lucky eight ball rolling,
Poker chip flipped
all the cards in the ocean.

I got pinched
but they were far too late,
See, I already made my escape.
I quit; over and out.
Washed my hands at that
and dried them off,
Done and dusted,
I'll enjoy my dessert.

Just hope the cravings
don't set in.
Which one of y'all don't go hungry
every once and again?

All things, eventually, fall into the hands of vanity.
The pain, the misery,
the sufferings, and the tears;
memories filled with screams of agony.

Oh, child, don’t waste your energy no more.
Cease your frenetic thoughts.

Proceed with what you are now,
for no one really knows
what comes after oblivion.

— Y.H.

Look ahead,
gentle fervor.
You never know.
So,
use up the moments you have
with all of the gratitude
and awareness.

A fine mole down
the blue mountain sky
cannot be weighed out!
It's the cosmos's gold dust
the earthy depth triumphs.
Oh earth, our close clay-star
is far ahead of the day at noon.
Ahead of the moon
ahead of the Neptune!

With a million dash of curiosity
every new sunrise paints
upon her black box with the roaring fire.
Yet the ****** is a veiled wonder!

It has the plethora a room for everyone
and time for timeless times.
Guess, with her longhand
what an inside scoop did it pick out?

You too can be in the know
It's the feminine beauty all in all.
You may have by now
seen women million and one.
The earth is eyeing on only one!

Her closest admirer is the star
of the very luminary bunch
with open eyes in the hearts.
Her dead man is waking up
sniffing the daylight by her.
Yet to make the discovery
both are still wondering outside!
Baby, lets dim these lights,
Pull me close,
Fall into my eyes.
See the real me deep within.
Take my hand and trust me once again...

This time I won't let go,
I'll hold on forever,
long after we're old.
You're all I need,
You keep me strong,
With you I stand taller,
Than when I stand alone.

Ahead in my head,
You're always there.
Beside me, smiling, without fear.
Hand in hand,
I would walk through Hell with you,
Knowing you would lift me up,
If I fall and can’t continue.

With you my tomorrow's hold much more.
I look forward to the future now,
instead of dreading it like before.
I know there will be more struggles in store for us,
But with you,
I have the courage to face any storm.

You opened your world to me,
You accepted my flaws,
You helped me believe.
Because of this, I give you it all,
All that I have within me
that makes me, me at all.

I hand to you a heart that will beat for you and you alone.
Keep it with you and hold it closely.
Use it to fight away your worry whenever I am gone.

With that being said,
Now I have nothing.
I have gave you all I had to give...
But in return, you gave to me,
A life i'm proud to live.

It streams down eye to eye
from the unseen but the all seeing.

Far from the Mars far from the Neptune
skipping all the planets hanging in space
only on the cheek of earth, a drop of tear fell.

Every angel in the heavens' shore
has heard of this lore.
It’s timeless long mesmerising beautiful.
Far from the blue yonder sky
hunky dory is delighting to the eyes
the stunner is made to measure.

A tear in the corner of the eye
as if it's diagonally weighed down
with the 360-degree open looking sky.
As close as within a fingertip comes the Moon
still, a sea is ahead forever untouchable!

Searched in old grievous forests
in barren smoky wastelands.
Alas if she did not
for such pain she could not bear.
The beast's carcass from far away
could be seen, like a lone mountain
stood in the middle of the dale
shadowing the place
something like ash was spread all around
the beast's blood it was
and from it new life arose.
Green and flowers grew again
white roses they were.
There she found the body of her beloved
pale and cold it was, eyes shut...
Tears of grief and endless pain she shed
and sang with eyes staring the sky.
"Lo the outcome of this brave soul's intent
Lo my heart's last beats
Gods i sing you this
tale where life and death vie for control
this tale where love and pain vie in mortal hearts."
And so she closed her eyes and travelled where he did.
And so her frail longing heart came to an end.
White rose is the favorite flower of my true love
and i devote this write to her..

The moon is still hanging low
since it came down so close.

The seven seas dance
beneath her polished feet
but could never touch it.

Then the intact moon,
in fact, did unleash
only when one popped
out ahead of the rest.
Down from the earth
luminary Muhammad
Peace be upon him
pointed his finger towards it
and into two halves did the Moon split!

But the man wouldn’t touch it
and remained with us all
with every human the Moon dwarfs!
Commemorating the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). One of his miracles was that he split the moon after some pagans asked him to show them a miracle to prove he is a prophet.

You said you never would,
you already did.
Go ahead cheat on me again.
My love clearly meant nothing to you.
I’ve read the text,
heard the messages.
Why could you do this to me
Especially  with that *****.
I thought you were mine.
I thought you said you never would.
Clearly I meant nothing to you.
His cement touch grasped my lungs,
cracking down on the system we had made.
My mind is not quiet until it is numb,
compacting a road for old memories' sake.
This ground takes place in the back of my head,
the gravel makes bumps I always displace.
No one will come; calling 'No Road Ahead'
I am lost in this part for most of my days.
The colder it is, the more likely I'll freeze,
keep driving this way to try and find home.
Frozen in time, I don't know the ease,
between what is 'home' and a house no one knows.
I isolated my heart from the world because nobody cares,
it is worthless to think of myself with emotion.
I'd rather continue just driving this way,
and force myself to keep going through the motions-
All feedback is welcome and appreciated!

It's horror to find things confusing.
At first it was easy.
Second, it was hard.
The third time was a mess.
What else to find in the end?
Neither you nor me
has the knowledge to know the outcome.

We are tied together by our stories, our history
Tales woven through our ancestry, when our parents talk of their younger days,
When their life was ahead of them,
the future was anything and everything,
they speak of their old friends with ache in their soul,
Of times when their hearts were filled with fire and passion,
running through fields growing memories  planted by the world around them
When they could sprint the wind in their hair,
adventure ahead,
hope in their heart.
They speak of the days behind with woe
Because essentially just their ideas of the future as a young mind, were more enticing than reality.
As dreams failed and hope faded
As their minds wear
and their treasured stories that made them who they are fog over
As threads begin to wear
As tales they once yelled to the world with pride fray at the ends
Your whole world slipping away as the thread unwinds
But they get the joy of passing down the tapestry to their pride and joy,
to the life they made,
Every moment we live with ease of no appreciation for every experience every laugh
Moments we take for granted
Moments we will pine for when they run out
Moments the elderly urge us with fire to cherish
Moments we'll wish we listened about
There is a vast tapestry of memories behind you and infinite thread panning out in front of you, connecting to other tapestries,
visiting at friends,
at enemies,
joining with soul-mates future.
Some cut away,
some ripped from the tapestries too soon before they could weave their own.
A loose thread cannot be fixed once more are made,
and the patterns will never be what you want them to be, savour each stitch
Take time on every thread
You don't want to be sitting there 50 years old thinking about the life you wasted
About the memories faded,
About how every slipping memory's never like the moment you made it.
Don't be sitting 90 filled with regret
Filled with hatred for every opportunity you left
Screaming into the void about how much you hate what your life become.
because they say time flys when your having fun truth is time only flies when you're young.
Go ahead
Laugh at me
I'm not the best at poetry
Creatively overfed

Staircases never trip or fall
But I do, even with the rails
Every twist and turn, I fail
In front of me stands a writer's block wall

Go ahead
Push me to the ground
Watch me not utter a single sound
I should quit to the voices in my head

Doors never give a **** or sigh
But I do, even with the hinges about
Every suppressed emotion, I lash out
In front of me stares bloodshot eyes

My mirror never notices my reflection
Although I see mine

Go ahead
Raise your voice at me
I'm not the best at speaking out loud
I prefer camouflaging in a crowd
Isolation is what they see

I don't make any sense,
But that's all right
No one even bats an eye
Imminent estranged suspense

Picture this...

The voices in your head haven't been very friendly lately and you're talking to inanimate objects. Everyone is worried sick about you being alone all of the time.

This scenario played in my head. It just came to me.
Bryan Lunsford May 2018
Since she walked away I haven’t known what to do,
With all of my colors that have turned gray–I’ve been left to only feel this color of blue,
As there’s not a shade in this world that could ever replace her hues,
My sight and mind has been left in a haze–and left ever so confused,
With my eyes that stay closed–for I’ve been blinded by the truth,
Wherein the only thing my eyes want to see–will no longer be in my view,
So go ahead and paint my world however you wish and want to,
As you can paint my whole world with the most vibrant and amazing hues,
But until the day that she returns–all my eyes will see is gray and blue

Let me pretend our life is normal
there's no illness here
As I lay beneath the covers
with you
my dear

Under the covers
On a chilled mornings day
outside beyond our window
children are at play
Freshly brewed coffee
drifting in on the air
As we lay
beneath the covers
without a care

Spring flowers bloom
their perfume
dancing in on the breeze
Hear the Kookaburras laughing
outside in the trees
Dogs bark in the distance
a few streets away
But under the covers
nice and cosy
is where we shall stay

Till it's time to get started
on our day ahead
But for now I'm quite content
under the covers with you
in our bed
Pretending  life is  normal

Enveloped in a cloud of rain,
drenching spirit and soul.
Sunlight flickering through clouds ahead;
finally hope.

Leaving sadness behind at last,
my spirit longs to move in the sunlight of dance.
My body singing, rising to its newness,
twilight is turning bright with vibrancy ahead.

Praying the path will not turn
to the dark rainforest of gloom once more.
Can I believe in the light?
Can I believe in a future with hope?

I thought about this and around this for a long time, so I guess it's time to write it down.

THE NATURAL ORDER.

There is a natural balance in Earths history and mankind's tentative balance along the scale.
When humans began to band together and create communities, control of fire / light created a need for oil . Eventually settling on whale oil.
So it was by the grace of whatever one might want to attribute it to,that let petroleum come into play at a time when whales are in danger of being annihilated and dead horses were clogging the streets of cities in the east, left dead or dying by the Cartmen who simply unstrapped the sick or dead animal and moved on.
.Oil / petroleum led to the creation of the internal combustion engine.
So again a hand stirred the ***.
Consider these improvements( if such they were )created rapid growth and burgeoning cities . Again Providence stepped in to create radio , telephone and airplanes, essentially at a time when growth of humanity was so great , that new ways of farming , new ways of seeing the world-  were  becoming more and more necessary to a shrinking world.
Unfortunately, at a time when we, the American initiative creators of so many trends, ideas ,Innovations and inspirations around the world, were suddenly slammed a blow that at this point, 40 years later; it's very reverberations are still being felt.
Consider if big oil and trickle-down had not ,for spiteful and greedy involution, taken down the solar panels from the White House roof, that Jimmy Carter had installed in 1977.
How far ahead would we be now ,in clean energy and how much less damage to the ice cap and the atmosphere would have been done??  To date... my guess is that it is incomprehensible.
So if nature does create a balance, it seems we are coming to a critical Junction.

Right now -metaphorically speaking- we are riding shotgun in a car with a driver ,who like us ,sees cars up ahead disappearing around the curve and all hitting  their brake lights. Now any reasonable driver at highway speeds is 65 - 80 miles an hour would at least take the foot off the gas in preparation of  tapping the brakes.
So many politicians right now are refusing to accept the brake lights... see no reason to tap the brakes to interrupt cruise control, in all actuality, completely refusing to do anything except go around the curve at full speed.
Around that curve we may find nothing but smooth sailing ,  or we may find a catastrophe in the making.
Nature will accept the cruise Interruption now (maybe) brakes absolutely, but Full Speed Ahead will lead to the sickening crunch of seawater rising and  spilling salt water into the lands that are used for growing crops and food -  leading to millions , maybe billions of refugees with nowhere to go.

Or we will reach critical mass of sheer ignorant arrogance and nuke ourselves into a situation that does not have the technology or population to hammer at the planet so freaking hard.

Most likely the first scenario would instigate the 2nd and those of us who crawl up out of the ashes will start the evolution to revolution journey all over again.

Ain't nature Grand ???

I want you in my head
Able to finally look through my eyes
Taking a look at your own self
So that no more questions will arise

Your beauty is step one
Realizing beauty is blind comes after
Because seeing what lies underneath
Should have given you my answer

So just go ahead and say it
My eyes will not stop you from asking
Its the element within my words
That keeps my fire in your heart lasting

Twas the night before
Hawaii islands on the radar
A monster opened the door
It shoulders a storied scar

Of the last time, it hit its mark
Rearing its **** head, ahead of pace
As the eye looms '82 in the dark
Wrinkles on this  eve sit sadly in boldface

Kauai sat once in unnatured infamy
It sunny shores hit once by the beast
Clouds of villains played in that symphony
With the next generation looking to feast

As the residence brace for the worst
Of the monster stepping on its paradise
With category four winds and cloudburst
The hope is that the monster plays nice

With the Aloha Spirit preserved with leis
In place of bold headlines of strung wrath
Hawaii can pray rays of light in the coming days
Willing the monster to take a different path

This honor catches me by surprise, so much that I can't wait for the next dawn, sunrise, and all the days that follow. Thank you. Thank you for all the well wishes and support. It means looking at the sunrise, a new dawn, with newfound exuberance and eagerness.

To my friends and relatives on Oahu, I pray. Update-monster played nice. Outstanding was its piano play. Storm went from a 5,4,3,2,1 ... miss. With the Aloha Spirit preserved with leis
In place of bold headlines of strung wrath. Thank you.
Tomorrow never comes
Today is always yesterday
Time is forever on the run
Becoming lost; Wasting away

Surrounded by the void
But darkness not why I am rattled
From this question, can't avoid
Do I belong amongst the shadows?

Back and forward I will peer
While staying blind to what's ahead
I am engulfed and filled with fear
Unsure what's real or in my head

one you love magical moments, Oh how wish every one those memorable
moments
If somehow could have
made them last longer
especially now she's no longer with
me
So much more time could
I have given Helen If only
seen what lay ahead, so
sad there Is no going back to
put things right, no second chances
So much more time I would have Helen If Only I'd seen what lay ahead
