Death opens
Eternity enters
Angels watch
Time ceases
Home welcomes
Under, over, between, against, something
Needful things and quarks
Infinite infinity endlessly remaining
vacuous vacant and brimming.
Everything everywhere evolving eternally
recent past and the here and now
still reveals it's non existence.
Event horizon is nothing nowhere

T.G. acrostic poem
An Acrostic Exercise:

I am feeling so anxious today mother.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am feeling so anxious today mother
Anxious ‘cause I don’t wanna go to school
My tummy hurts n my head it does so ache
Forget about that son as I gotta go to work
Even if you’s die in , you’s still gotta go today
Especially as you’s only just learnt the word
Learning the word “Anxious” early for you child
I am feeling so anxious today darling mother
No don’t make me go off now to work.
God ,I ain’t got it in me ,I keep jus getting hurt.
**** it up ,I command you , your lazy like Dad.
Off to work now for a $ to keep us all afloat .
As your daddy’s sick it’s that whiskey he drinks
Now mummy I’m anxious,I just met a lovely girl
X rated movies has taught me just how t’kiss.
I just couldn’t stop myself , will I just go blind.?
Of course you’re a wicked an ‘ ungrateful boy.
Unless you end your evil ways ,you’ll have t’go
So I dragged my anxious body outta the home
To seek new horizons, rough livin’ and such.
Oh God won’t you help me? T’s bench is rough
Do you keep me anxious as some punishment
A Hobo came up to me. Begging me f’change
Yes I gave him my $5 , just all that I did have
My God I looked into his eyes, in them I did see
Oh mother Mary smiling and looking backa me
The anxiety that dogged me , lifted in a blink.
Happiness engulfed me. I started then to think.
Eternal love of Jesus is the only way to go.
Restoring sacred attitudes, “anxiety “ to hell.
Just as summer releases its warm embrace
Ushering in beautiful colors and flavors,
Love blossoms in my heart once again, reborn.
Your memory, my son, consumes and embraces
me in its own warmth.
~ In memory of my Giovani, my beautiful
boy with wings ~ ❤️ ~
This was written for a contest on another poetry site. There were several challenges/styles to choose from, and I chose an acrostic poem about a particular month. The month of July; for me it's always so bitter-sweet.
T* hough I know the truth
W hat have I become anyway?
I s this liar, this thief, this ******,
N othing more than a shell of a human being?
W hy do I always end up asking the same questions?
I  may never really know who I am
L ike most drifters and loners and
N othing is worse than not knowing
E verything there is to know about oneself, it's
V ery unsettling, earth shattering, words don't
Every thing i say
Comes right back to my ear
Hearing my words bouncing off
Of an empty atmosphere
Enigmas in the wind
Can't anybody hear?
Hello, is anyone there?
Or are my words just unclear?
Each sound returning
Continuing the fear
Hollow sounds fading out
Only to disappear
Procrastination, it's everyone's least favourite word.
Running around, doing a great many things, but
Of course not that what they were supposed to do.
College might've given you much homework,
Reading book X; chapters two, five and six,
And writing a paper of a thousand words...
So students rather start doing something else.
The house wife might have this problem too,
If cleaning isn't her favourite thing to do.
No, watching the telly is much more fun
And reading a book is also a lot easier
Than walking around the house
In a big frenzy, trying to tidy every room.
Oh, procrastination, many people use you,
Not that they like you, no way.
Before they fought, they had simple lives.
Remember them, their loves and their wives.
Others they served and many came home.
They parted from service but went on alone.
Heroes; the wounded, the brave or the scared
Each one fighting hard, standing tough, as he dared.
Returned to their homes, they remember alarms;
Soldiers they served with, their Brothers In Arms.
Into their minds, memories battle their war.
Now home in safety, miss them once more.
All go into battle, braced for the fight
Remember their Brothers In Arms in the night.
Memorial Day calls them, witness to bear -
Such Brothers In Arms, they will always be there.
Sulking back grinding my teeth is useless
Taking out my ire on boneheaded people is ridiculous
Asking the world to stop using the 'F-word' is pointless as well
Yelling at the top of my voice against the vice is not worthy either
Involving not in policing activities without being authorized
Not caring for you jealous people is best in these circumstances
Gunning them down is impossible any day anyway
Lowly words are your virtue commonly crude language people
Ostentatious skills of yours are no use against the new born rage
W*inning your hearts over is better than whining over your malpractice of teaching your kids the *F-word earlier than either Papa or Mama.
Phew...
Feeling great today..
Will not delete my account as I got just few message from an idiot who insisted that I quit HP & many more who told me that they love my work.
I will just turn a blind eye to all the 'F-words'.
So to the idiots I have to say, "Keep the F-words for your parents and future children, jerks."
Pomegranates, a fruit
Originally from Iran
Mediterranean delight
Even enjoyed by gods
Goddesses all night
Really, they enjoyed
And friends shared
Now pomegranates
Are cultivated today
Throughout the world
Enjoyed by mortals
So there you have it!
Pomegranates
Build an idea,
Organise your mess,
Recognise your strengths,
Elevate your soul searching,
Denature negative thoughts.
Only allow great ideas,
Mimic the best person you can be.
Softness of her nervous slim hands,
Ostensibly glad meeting me she was.
For so many happy days yet to come,
Again not letting differences pop-up,
Rosy blush dropping in her cheeks.
Yes that makes her look even cuter,
Exceptionally cute she is so beautiful,
Tomorrow our baby will be even cuter.
Ship of combined life we sail in together,
On time we'll make it to the destination.
Casting bright shadows of ours we tread,
Looping circle of happiness we rejoice,
Of our feelings we are worshippers,
Setting the same destination from different roads,
E**arning trust, respect, love, sensuality & care as we go on.
Can someone please tell me
On which plane we now reside?
Valuing the cheap laughs that the
Freakish Trump provides?
Existential crisis doesn't seem
Far off to me, when war and strife
Escapes our eye, in our frivolity.
Although not immune to the humour in Trumps tweets, one shakes the head a little too often these days when so many serious and grave things are happening globally.
Tough times the Tudor King endures
Undecided on his bold armorers
Due to hots for miss Anne Boleyn
Ordered aside the maid of Aragon
Removed poor Anne’s head for Darling Jane
Rare son to Jane but childbirth was a pain
On death we see the shrewdest Ann o Cleaves
You know they didn’t get on or consummate
A fifth in Katherine Howard a **** for sure.
Lost her head , took Kath Parr to bed
Six was five too many for a King named Henry
Undulation provoked by
Cunning words of a poet, I
***
Under the surface,
Loving
Every
Nourished word like
Oh holy... Where did that just come from?  This can be the poet's surprise, can it not?
To be so moved by poetry, this is something understood by those who truly love the genre.  This is the intent of my piece.
Marching forwards in love and in life
As snowdrop and crocus cover Spring earth
Raw though the wind, as Winter still lingers
Chapping the faces exposed to its wrath.
Hope springs eternal as I sit by the hearth
Indoors the warmth of a nice open fire
Nicely chopped logs all stacked by a scuttle
Glorious flames up the rise higher.
Flames soporific and soon I am sleeping
Out like a light from the heat of the fire
Running in dreams and thinking of roses
Wrapped in a beautiful paper display.
All for the lady who loves me forever
Roses the flowers from my heart every day
Dreams full of happy, and our lovely children
Slight sadness now as they make their own way.
It’s many years now and our love we have found
No more needs the blankets we laid on the ground.
Living a life with one who inspires you
Overly blessed like the Spring that now hails
Verdant the grass round the bench in the garden
Each night during Summers we tell lover’s tales.
And as we enter our twilight of living
Not for a second our passion shall wane
Drawn to each other, a one made from twain.
Isn’t it wondrous when love makes hearts bind
Never a doubt in your passion-filled mind.
Letters we’ve written of love for each other
Ink that was written, but not by a sage
Finally we slip into hot-chocolate evenings
Enjoying the warmth as we turn the next page.
Acrostic
Assimilation of mind to further the agenda of the few
Certification that retrieval of private information is not all they do
    Relying on sources that can never live up to expectations
       Obligations heavily burdened the shoulders of all nations
          Senseless removal of alternate energy generation
             Thoughtless caring of blight of character destrucion
                 Improbabilites of reaching goals of the faithful
                    Clinging desperately for the return of the saviour
Even ******* up moisture in air.
Yesterday was so beautiful together,
Oh can't we grow old holding hands,
Understanding love is difficult from far.
Or should this Atul wander lonely?
In Acrostic poems, the first letters of each line are aligned vertically to form a word. The word often is the subject of the poem.
Note: This is not my own poem, this is just an example i got from this cool website.
