little pockets hid inside big pockets,
storage units with keys
purposely misplaced,
envelopes of documents,
labelled, saved for a purpose
that is no longer memorable,
but still instant recognizable

scenes from a marriage
violent hatreds so great,
that years of a single silence
were successes celebrated,
secrets never secreted

the taste of them
from your gorge
can't be easy erased
once the bile comes up,
you can't stomach the notion
of choking it back down

well past
the limits of inane,
voided arguments
left your bowels cleansed
but your mind throbbing pain bombs,
your body
floored in an exhaustive state

the limits of inane,
voided arguments,
left your bowels cleansed
your mind lobbing throbbing pain bombs,
your body
floored in an exhaustive state
and you dd this to yourself,
so no one helps you up

caches of glimpses of video snatches,
trailers of a life woeful misbegotten,
sudden asunder ripped to the fore,
you know you were there,
know you took part,
is that a younger sadder version of you?

the backyard of your brain
where the cache was dirt buried
kicked open foul odor and
well you smell the screaming hatred fights,
and the reel to reel breaks but you see it
anyway in the orangey brown colors of
time decaying, burnt-edges of video tape

you think your life is tough.
*******.
did hard time, 30 years,
in a prison with no air or light,
a cell the size of my brain

just when the stench is mostly gone,
the cache ripped asunder
and stink so profound
you gotta lie down,
cause a reflection in a mirror
is ample excuse to put your
head or hand through it

and all you did was go see a play entitled
scenes from a marriage,
and afterwards you keep both hands in your pockets
lest you start choking yourself

Fathoms below,
To the depths of the Sea.
The world asundered,
By its wonder.

Fathoms above,
Wings of Eagles soar.
Storms sweep.
The world in awe...
Of its evolving atmosphere.

Above and Below.
Fathoms are bold.
For the world to know.
In awe of our evolving environment...

I didn't feel the hit but
I can feel the bruises

Numb and noxious and nothing
touched me while I looked sideways
laying down breathing heavily trying to

Creep back to the corner to crouch down amid
the thunder of the blackblueberry and the asundered boat
floating on my horizon and anchoring itself to an eyelash

Before it fell to planks and sheets
Before it sunk beneath the black and the blue

There's nothing I can hold against you,
there's almost a sternness in your voice
strengthening your steadfastness,
your eyes if they wished could rail
against light travellers.
Your own Mother who you asundered,
to supple perpetual altercation.
Dark, dark your hair will seek accord
The Ocra fields were you played
casts forth a margin of your secrets.
I pray our grave court
blinded by your  wonders,
serpentine and whistles
at the stroke of midnight,
whose union will shed
the growing embers

Sing the melody of the seasons of our song
Training wheels on now there gone
The elation of accomplishment on my own
My joy had a the highest tone.

Fear of the water,it looked so deep
Had no one to teach, learning the independence I would ever keep
No jumping in,went step by step
The water and I stroke by stroke I met.

She was weird,odd,funny like me
Did not mesh at first, but God knew it would be
She was my best friend, our friendship was perfect math
Seasons changed, years passed, broken heart, the fork asundered our path

First boyfriend, really cute, dull humor, flat flute
Stayed for insecurity, first break up,we did not suit
Sappy songs, girl talk, ate many sweet treats
Learned much, gained confidence for the Prince I'd later meet.

Life is hard and it can labor our breath
Taking God's hand, walking step by step
Just hope,have faith, and believe
Learning as we go,lean on the light so we can see

Hostages are held on each side
soldiers counted for the cause
weaponized for the greater good
now put forward to crush the curs
no hold barred by high decree
the scorched earth is the outcome
achievements mean more than men
blood enriches the thirsty soil.

Families become war's fodder
friends asundered to ensure
all that matters is consequence
right by might is assured
with the chains of dogma's curse
exacting conduct from the folk
the end times are at least realized
once again for the thousandth’s time.

Total victory eludes the chief
wanting more than statements grind
give and take is anathema
when sacred tasks are near at hand
no matter that the benefactors
supreme junta of hallowed ways
desiring outcomes born of death
are the fraction of army's size.

No prisoners is the leader's chant
ignorant of the followers
who seek a path that deviates
from the holy handed down
guidance is the vicar's goal
lest the lambs wander far
they know the slaughter promises
shepherd's pie in victory.

I came across a friend’s post about the ability to exist between antagonistic polarities.  This seems contrary to the “winner take all” nature of many societal conflicts.   Desired outcomes are stated in black and white.  No deviations are possible.  This may work for the leaders, those who are called upon to maintain a cause’s forward momentum, but it can be incredibly destructive for those outside this hallowed bubble.  “Shepard’s Pie” is about this dichotomy.

I believe,
The night sky is a domain of wishes
Shooting stars are wished upon
At the cost of another's dying dreams
Believe me,
I have tried to drown my grief
Like an evil surprise
That we push down
Wishing it never to reveal itself
But my eyes are the doors to my soul,
Drowned ruins as far as they can see
Black thunder clouds hum heavily
The sky asundered at the boundary line
My body descends to the depths
With a void inside my chest
Memories play,
Drowning in the tumultuous waves
Cherry blossoms float adrift on the surface
The scent of hope wafts to me
Like the drowning man I am
In the emotional reflection of my soul.

The moon luminates the midnight valley
Reflecting off the glass like serene lake
Soothing like the melodius sirens call
Atop a mountain ravaged by time
A lone tree stands bearing the weight of the sky
Lightning shaped cleave marks leave their trace
Blood red leaves flap like a flag in the slight breeze
Pitch black clouds form above the tree
Thunder sparks hues of golden tint
The atmosphere grows heavy
As if a higher being were watching the scene
Thunder descends upon the tree
With a loud roar of *******
Another cleave is left on its bark
Leaves drop painting the valley and lake
Asundered from their mothers embrace.
