when I'm alone I hear the screams of forgotten promises.
that night, the sky screamed your name and wept more than I did.
I walked into the night, engulfed in moonlight & it was as if the stars knew me better than my mother.
I stare at walls and see her there

A flower-printed love affair

Her azure-striped and plastered hair

Are cracked but perfect, everywhere.

Her skin of beige, it ripples soft

Across my palms when I get lost

I feel her smooth and supple skin

When I can't think and need to sin.

But here is now, and now is then

I'm staring at my walls again

Each one reminds me of the face

Of fallen angels barred from grace.
I see her in my head
I see her on my walls.
I'm drowning in all this love I hoped I'd give you, the love that's over here waiting for you to receive but I can't breathe anymore.

I'm so empty from all the nights you kissed " I love you " into my neck then ripped it off as soon as you got your pants off the floor.

I've been waiting for you to save me from my loneliness when I should've just saved myself from this crucifixion.
most nights I want to curl out of my skin and lick it's wounds.
