Looking at her journal
she tried to smile
perfectly knowing
all her insecurities
were written in those lines

the past that empowered her
the future that overpowered her
the guilt of sinning
the sorrows of him leaving
the burden she carried
the thoughts she hated

flipping the pages
re-reading the past
she could travel swiftly
back to the days
where she felt broken apart

it was strange
to cherish her broken life
she looked at her journal
and confusingly smiled

the agony of present
the unknown future
she realised that night
the brutality of life

Past was her enemy
that she won with pride
respected herself for conquering that fight

in that rainy night
she looked at Almighty
and whispered to let her win
all the battles
for rest of her life.

Those who dare
to live on their own terms
invite enemies
across the world

silence is preferred
yet,
lonely I feel

when I cant hear the laugh
of  some young girl inside me
I lost myself.

Today, I sincerely realised that sometimes in order to know that we are worth the pain, love and life;
we take steps against our conscience, our principals, our rules.
For a moment we win, we feel glad but after it ends,
we become paranoid of the hurt we gave, the words we spoke that struck someone like lightning, wounded someone like a sword
and worse
KILLED A BLOOMIMG SOUL.
I am at loss of words.

Darkness surrounds those
who do not hope for light.
Sometimes hope is the cure.

When her dad picks up the phone,
she realizes the annoyance in his voice
Maybe, he picked up the call
to put the formal burden aside
she understands,
he is a busy man, working to meet her needs
but, sometimes she wonders
can money buy all things?
when she sees her friends with their dads
she feels jealous and heartbroken
her friends are not wealthy as her
yet, they have something that she can not buy
she longs to feel the fatherly love
but destiny is cruel on that front

She sat by the window
closing all lights
for a while forgot
all pains of life

she looked at trees
the lush green leaves
the street light behind
busy in playing hide and seek

the wind cool and calm
gently touching her face
the coolness effective in calming all hate

she looked at the sky
all the blue changing
the birds humming their songs
to wake the asleep

she turned to the corner
and glanced at the street
where lies her hope and fear
together sealed
with that,
her eyes looked higher than the sky
she trusted god
with her doubts and fear
silently wished for the best

All this she felt
on that day
watching the sunrise.
sunrise is beautiful

The way I was replaced from your life
is painful,
yet
I am grateful
because my replacement
changed you
in someone
I always aspired you to be...
as we get older
we realise the difference between
CHANGES and REPLACEMENT
