As you lay helpless
Upon the hardened concrete
Let me be of use
So many people without a home
Without a friend
What can I do?
Mary Anne Norton Oct 2021
Rain
What are you
Trying to say
As you
D
   R
  .....I
          P
               D
                  .R
        ...............I
                ..........P
Down my window
Are these tears
Of yesteryear
That have
Never
Dried out
And need to be
Released
Let them fall
Let them fall
To wash away
And bring
New Birth

Clothes flapping In
The breeze
Wisps of grass
And flowers too
Dancing in the rhythm
Leaves a spinning
Wind's  a whistling
Papers flyin bout
Hairs a blowing
Flags are furling
What a busy sight
Hold on tight
But not too tight
The wind is
Coming through
Went to the park today. Felt and saw the
excitement of the wind.

What a day outside
A glorious breeze laughing
Dancing through the air
Mary Anne Norton Oct 2021
Broken hearts to mend
Broken promises to cure
And just plain broken
Mary Anne Norton Oct 2021
Up
Started down below
Way down below among thorns
But chose to go up
Mary Anne Norton Oct 2021
So tranquil the night
The moon still winking
As stars shine bright
Planets in alignment
The milky way too
Everything in favor
Wish upon a star
