Never liked football
I thought it was too violent
Now I watch it
As much as I can
I wonder if that means
I am violent
What about the sound
From crashing helmets
Knowing someone could
Get hurt
Or the big pile up
And the poor one
At the bottom
Am I violent
Or do sports
Count

I.told.you I
Lit a candle
Just for you
But you went
And blew.it out
I brought you
A sandwich
To work
You threw it down
I tried to make
You laugh
You growled
At me
I.opened the door
You closed it
You said  hello
Now I say goodbye
This never happened. Dont even know where this came from. Perhaps covid thoughts

Helmets are crashing
The fans are cheering loudly
Who will win the game

If we are the land
Of milk and honey
When did it sour
And lose its' sweetness
Or did it

Sometimes something is
Right in front
Of us
We miss it
But it may
Never be seen
Again
We are one like the trees
Grow with a tiny seed
Planted like the roots to grow
Watered and sowed
Taking time to age
Learning along the way
Broken branches
Tiny holes
Cracking at the seems
Yet growing stronger
Into a beautiful, loving tree

I have struggled before
And I will struggle again
Do I get up.from
Where I have fallen
Or do I just stay
Planted on the floor
Do I rise above
Or sink below
Perhaps I shall cover
Myself with thoughts
And let words
Take over
