Tiana Marie
She was like music,
and I longed to dance.

Her heart was the beat,
and I begged for the chance.

Her words were the vocals,
and I was put in a trance.

Her smile was the melody,
and I fell in love at first glance.

I was waiting
I know you'd arrive at any moment
I could feel the light cold breeze
blowing through my hair
Suddenly I see you
at the corner of my eye
You call out my name
I was surprised you did
Because we both know things aren't going too well
between you and me
But you did still call out my name
I turned to the direction of your sweet, sweet voice
I see you running towards me
3 feet, 2 feet, 1 feet, a heartbeat apart,
You stop.
I look down on the floor
You hugged me
I didn't hug you back
and it was the worst decision i ever made in my life
You smelled of alcohol
I knew you were drunk
But I didn't mind
It was still you
The you that I both hate and love
I feel your warmth
I close my eyes
Teardrops run down my face,
and then you said -
I miss you
I never knew on that very moment
It'll be the last time you'll ever be mine

I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)
