Aurora Borealis
TS Ray Nov 2019
I shall go up north,
as north as I could possibly go,
trekking the wilderness of darkened hue,
to have a little adventure with you.

Shining lights from everywhere,
as dark a sky as it were,
greens and blues of a multi-color fare,
I wish I can be there to enjoy your every flare.

Tiny disturbances can be so magnetic,
causing an atmosphere to become electric,
as far as the elves have been to arctic,
I bet I haven’t seen anything more mystic.

You looked like the wishful green master
that was ready to grant all my wishes, yet
seeing you up close was a
dream that was more than all my wishes fulfilled.

Maybe, you really are that genie from a bottle.  :)

Oyster in the deep
TS Ray Nov 2019
Flying without abandon,
spinning a spider web, or
saving the day by coming out at nights,
it”s not my powers to be.

I keep no magic secrets,
I drink no miracle potions,
I have no alter egos,
I own no extra fittings.
I just believe.
Just like you believe.

Being your own super hero,
telling your own heroic tales,
crafting your own wins from odds,
no trip to Gotham City is needed for that.

Knowing your intuition,
trusting your gut,
feeling a pinch,
holding to clinch,
the pearl of an oyster
from the deep blue life,
it’s what my force will be.

So, how deep is your oyster at? :)

It’s a beautiful game of back and forth,
showing me life is merely a game too,
winning or losing may have me trying,
so long as you have fun on the court, playing!

On occasions, I couldn’t get through you,
could you lower yourself for me,
Or are you asking
to raise the game within me?

Serving me a volley of ups and downs,
making me come to the net,
playing it on the rise,
taking risk down the line,
but, alas, life doesn’t give you an HawkEye.

Opponents may be many,
courts may be different,
conditions may be new,
keep that passion within you,
for you never know when the match point is on you.

Mankind of a new kind
TS Ray Nov 2019
I stay in vigil,
we won’t go in peril,
scraping the bottom of the barrel,
I am ready for a planet saving quarrel.

Sprinting to be a warrior,
making my name glorious,
showing other girls who like to be zealous,
not for them to be undone or imagining only men can be this audacious.

I possess a mighty orb of the blue kind,
don’t under estimate or not keep in mind,
my powers were always for the entire mankind,
not a concern if men weren’t always inclined.

Just know equality is here,
as I step up,
so it will rise to follow up,
“Cos I need no approval,
taking power in my own hands,
needless to say it’s only time for grand plans,
only sharing my wisdom to let men execute my commands.

So, mankind, make us shine! :)

Where have you been?
TS Ray Nov 2019
If I wrote a book,
you will be my central character.
Million copies later,
I may write through your impeccable knowledge.

If I wrote a poem,
you will be in every word.
A couple of views later,
I may speak through your poetic silence.

If I acted in a play,
you will be my audience.
A few applauses later,
I may act out a monologue of glorious affection.

Say hi,
Say hello,
Say no more,
When words stop,
I will understand,
That we are where we need to be.

If I met you in real life,
you will be my soul mate.
A few decades later,
I may seek a second life with you.

So, meet me now! :)

Emotional Emoji
TS Ray Nov 2019
You left me hanging,
I stayed up all night,
wondering what’s in store for our next fortnight
and may be more,
as it wasn’t like this before.

Leaving me on read receipt,
staying online and yet
remaining offline for me,
liking my posts and not
leaving any feedback,
Why is your focus drifting away?

They say internet is amazing,
you tend to believe it gets us closer,
I may like laughing out loud,
I may be rolling on the floor,
but I am old school,
I want to be your real emoji.

Seeing your face,
knowing my place,
moving with you at the same pace,
just meet me anyplace,
But just not only in cyberspace.

Make me your real emoji. :)

I met a wanderer
TS Ray Feb 2020
She knew the world,
He knew the words,
She shaped the blue skies,
He played with the meter in fives.

She brought in the aura,
He pictured in the flora,
She glittered in the halo,
He wandered in an abyss so low.

She was well versed in art,
He talked in silence with himself in part,
She was ready to know him and walk with him toe to toe,
Walking all alone all along, he was ready to find himself too.

When I tell you,
Where will you be?

I may not know the words,
but silence is all I speak through.
I may not know the plays,
but character is what”s true.
I may not know the ending,
but beginnings are about due.

I may not be the richest,
but I am richer by you.
I may not be the wisest,

I may not be lovable,
but love is all I got for you.

So when I tell you,

Beauty in disguise
TS Ray Nov 2019
Canopy painted by Mother Earth,
waterfalls flowing down the Görges,
canyons wedged by a
liquid quarry,
dew dropped acres prepared for a pristine  greenery,
Is beauty really in the beholders eye?

A painting on squirrels back,
eye of the peacocks feather,
wavy contours on deers horns, and
eyelashes on a hornbill.
Is beauty really in the beholders eye?

Waves wanting to reach my sand castle,
mountains growing by the cloud cover,
rivers disturbing the rocks and yet gently touching my feet,
trails that make me feel hearty.
Is beauty really in the beholders eye?

Beauty is everywhere,
It’s absolute.
It’s constant.
It’s more than that meets the eye.

Fanciful Wishes
TS Ray Oct 2019
On a full moon day, and
On a cold starry night, over
By a meandering river side,
when reflections are your only friend,
It wasn't the moon that was radiant,
rather it was her beautiful glowing face that was in splendor,
because all I could see was her.

Maybe there are no new places to discover,
There are no new lands to conquer,
There are no new ideas to decipher,
There are no new relations to acquire, yet
There is only one thing to admire,
Her words and her soft demeanor, and
I am her fanciful well wisher.
TS Ray Nov 2019
Writing a chapter full on mystery,
with a few needed twists and turns,
like a fresh rose out of many thorns,
it is my own self that I need to lock horns.

Describing you in detail,
to walk through your life trail,
doesn’t matter if my love for you was frail,
all I need to do is set sail.

Wish I had your vocabulary,
I know my wisdom about you is temporary,
I love to make it our new dictionary,
for when you search for me,
you will always find me even if I was imaginary.

Sing for me, oh wind chime!

Winds are blowing from north to south,
Skies are darkening from up above,
Rains are showering over a white robe, and
the globe is dancing with a mild glow.

So sing for me, oh wind chime!

Blue jays are pecking at an oak tree,
Spinning around squirrels who are as carefree,
Unaware of a herd of deer roaming free,
their intelligence only bettered by their calling soiree.

So sing for me, oh wind chime!

Even as the prairie of a backyard is so beautiful,
when winds are so peaceful,
flowing the dandelions along plentiful,
depositing themselves on young ones a handful.

So sing for me, oh wind chime!

giving the mighty sun a corner of your attention.
Hazy band of light is how we see you,
even as you pack a full stream of illumination.
Will you shine a bit more on us?

Sweeping through the dark ages,
you are that marvel of creation.
Or was it design by evolution,
a masterful coincidence of mind blowing proportion.
Will you share with us?

You conceal your true strength in dark matter,
as old as universe when it was in tatters.
Maybe you have the story of the Big Bang
stored in your matter,

Will you reveal to us?

But he was with me and
just as regal.

Knowing where to go,
speeding through the meadows in a flow,
judging when to stop with a whoa,
appearing to satisfy my ego,
jumping around the ponds and puddles to forego,
there was no turning or needing to go slow.

I didn’t have to tell him,
he didn’t have to ask me,
I wasn’t heavy for him,
He had a lightness around him.

He wandered,
pondered and
He just did.

Riding for a lifetime,
bonding for a good time,
just know it’s not summertime,
Cos my whitehorse
will be here in no time.

It ain’t a skeleton in the closet
As you can see what I see

I have no spooky ideas
I have no creepy creations
Maybe I am the abnormal
As my mask is the see through one

Life is not a costume parade
Nor it needs to be one day wonder
It becomes a miracle
When we share what we feel

Say what you feel day in and day out
Until the zombies go out
I will surely see what you see
I will hear what you hear

Why do you show me what’s real?

Reflection is realization,
realization is beyond imagination,
imagination is always in the presentation, yet

Why do you make me think about what’s true?

I was once in a desert,
traveling in void when the wind was blowing dirt,
sand dunes never wavered me,
cold nights did not trouble me.

The well nearby did dry,
water and thirst had come and gone by,
living this way could not be a high,
words alone are not enough to cleanse a sand kissed eye.

Sun and moon came and went,
nature was no longer revealing any imaginary bent,
how to persist when this desert has me spent,
who knows tomorrow an oasis may spring near my tent.

Stone full of memories
TS Ray Nov 2019
Driving by the beautiful woods,
I see them every night.
Standing tall and peaceful words at last,
its truly a poignant sight.

I think to myself,
all through the night.
what would mine say?
perhaps a few words of righteous might?

When the time comes,
need I let the world know?
or as the time flies,
do I let the world know me?

Flying like a butterfly,
Spreading your wings willfully,
Shining through your smile truthfully,
Speaking a few niceties naturally, and
Building paragraphs of legacy.
Surely, Epitaph will be no new fancy,
and written for you in permanency.
Not in a stone but in the hearts,
you touched in regular frequency.

I think to myself,
all through the night.
Why then,
should it say anything?
I suppose, its neither wrong nor right.

I meet you daily at a train station around St. Cook’s,
today you wore that weary traveler look,
struggling to carry a backpack by its slender hook,
looking through a corner of my eye that you may have mistook.

Finding a seat by the window,
standing in front as I could see only your shadow,
offering to give you my place as though I did owe,
smiling almost to yourself,
yet choosing to forego.

Your name must have been the sky,
as your eyes were as blue,
just as the ocean reflecting the sky,
meeting you by chance and I don’t know why,
sadness in your eyes is not something I could allay,
load off your shoulder is all I could take away,
can’t do nothing more than wonder and pray.

Someday I will know you more on your journey faraway,

landed on businessman’s nose at a hat’s drop,

It had whale of a time and a freehand,

unsure what the storm outside had planned,

Tears can’t replace war cries,
War horns can’t drown out deafening silence,
Armed armory can’t beat out lonely foot soldiers,

What’s right in a cry of despair?

are we going upstream or downstream,
not sure,
are the clouds darkening or clearing up,
not sure of that either.

Can a blind oarsman
steady his ship?
Can a rudderless ship
survive the storm?

Heart’s not a sheet of glass
to be broken by a pebble
thrown by a passerby.
Strength of the muscle is in its wisdom.
Anoint it with intuition.

Losing the knights
may erode a powerhouse, yet
castling the king side,
will build an impenetrable fortress
with lowly pawns.

King will rule.
Kingdom will reign.
You are not the only
one on this type of a boat.
Yes, it is about life. Such is life and the unknown future (clouds,

Tireless one
TS Ray Dec 2019
I had a broken bicycle that was in red,
found a new way to contain my sorrow instead,
salvaging the tire got me ahead,
rolling it with a wooden stick I had painted in red.

Famous I became known as the tireless one,
I saved it in my shed to play every day save none,
friends told me wish they had my cheeky grin,
although I wished I was older to buy a shiny new one.

Every spoke of the wheel spoke to me,
I knew exactly the missing ones and there were three,
I haven’t loved anything to this degree,
a new one was in the shed not knowing I was an ardent devotee.

My red wooden stick would stay with me,
telling my dad he can ride the bike like it was a plea,
becoming that creature of comfort as far as I can see,
for I wasn’t ready to hang my tire yet on the summertree.

Juggling jitters
TS Ray Nov 2019
I've been unicyclist before,
balancing myself on a tight rope,
juggling to perform when losing hope,
oh wait, its not my new slippery *****.

Can I wear a mask?
take the clown to task,
you needn't ask,
the smile will wear on
despite a tearing cask.

I don't need a ringmaster,
I keep my own show,
magically will pull through,
'tis true there is nothing that you owe,
except maybe a friendly hello.

Frozen Lake
TS Ray Feb 2020
Driving through a lake of frozen tears,
hardened and numb to anymore fears,
when you are out in the wilderness,
your mind can only stare at blankness.

Fighting through a winding river of crystals,
walking and wading just as we are mere mortals,
hunkering down to reach faraway bank of promising petals,
holding onto dipping heart rate wishing it was made of metals.

Just then shining crystals pointed to the sky,
ray of yellow brightened and brought a new high,
I got ready to pitch my tent in that cold like it was dry,
for I was ready to face my own fears and give it a goodbye.

It’s a brand new day
shall we celebrate as they say
'tis not just a holiday
Gotta be thankful to someone someday.

Baskets of fruit and food,
stuffings and dressings,
yes it’s that good,
sweet potato and yam sides in all likelihood
for as tasty a gathering,
Come on over, if you are in my neighborhood.

You wonder then,
What are you thankful for?
sun that rises to brighten every turn?
stranger who helps you without expecting anything in return?
Poems that touch you and make you yearn?
Pondering by a pond to live and learn?

There are many moments to be thankful for,
just be with me oh special one,
your magical presence is like the sun,
lets make it our sweet harvest times,
for all good moments under the sun.

Far away in a stately kingdom of normal people,
when two minds met in the meadows of principle,
while breathing air let out sounds of fipple,
it wasn't scientific to analyze in multiple.
Even questioning purpose was debatable,
By applying logical reasoning as valuable,
Became clear that staying the course was truly cherishable.

Big Dipper
TS Ray Dec 2019
It was cold night at play,
desert was cooler today,
without you and your illusory overlay,
I would have lost my way.

Are you the lucky seven?
guiding us through the vault of heaven,
to show me where I am heading,
maybe gods have come down through sages for a blessing.

Big bear or a little bear,
great wagon or a saucepan,
summit or bucket,
call it what you like,
be our eternal GPS,
and put on any fancy dress,
I will know universe is my own personal God nonetheless.

Mannequin Dreams
TS Ray Nov 2019
Words were spoken,
yet, emotions were left unsaid.

Gifts were exchanged,
yet, happiness was never shared.

Canvas had been prepared.
yet, colors hardly registered.

Thoughts had surfaced.
yet, ideas were left uncovered.

Songs were created,
yet, music had not been premiered.

Winds were blowing.
yet, leaves had not been cleared.

Sunshine was warming up.
yet, cold never left my feet.

Learnings had started.
surely, knowing this was bittersweet.

Loneliness had crept in.
surely, dreams were all where I meet.
