Within the soft, sweet coolness,
of a gentle, Summer's breeze;
I heard my God speak to me,
and I quickly hit my knees.
~
How could this living God,
who created everything;
See past all my mistakes,
and truly forgive me?
~
And in the darkness of myself,
I no longer felt alone;
For I knew He walked beside me,
where ever I may roam.
~
'Tis then I prayed, "Oh Father,
please ease my fears and woes;
Be with me on my journeys,
where ever I may roam.
~
If not for Your great love,
Your mercy and Your grace;
I would be a nothing,
among the Human race."
~
Then I asked, "Dear Father,
how could this truly be;
That the good you see within me,
is never what I see?"
~
My heart then filled with joy,
and a peace came over me;
For I knew within my heart,
that Jesus set me free.

A woman on a Donkey,
her Husband by her side;
Would soon bare a son,
who would one day save their lives.
~
They entered a small town,
seeking shelter at an Inn;
Yet there wasn't any room,
for this Babe who'd forgive sins.
~
The labor pains grew worse,
then the ones she'd felt before;
To a Manger they were led,
where she gave birth on the floor.
~
They gazed upon their child,
wrapped in swaddling clothes;
They knew He was the Christ,
for an Angel told them so.
~
God became a man,
the moment Christ was born;
What a blessed day that was,
what a glorious, new Morn.
~
His parents loved this child,
they did the best they could;
They watched Him as He played,
they watched Him nailed to wood.
~
They saw Him in the Manger,
they saw Him on that tree;
They both lived for their Son,
He lived to set them free.

"Goodbye John or Amy,
though I know you can't hear;"
"But I really can Mommy,
with my tiny ears."
~
"I think this is better,
this thing I must do;"
"Better for me,
or easier on you?"
~
"I don't think you'll feel it,
'cause you're not alive;"
"If you believe that,
you're living a lie."
~
"Here comes the Doctor,
this shouldn't take long;"
"Don't let them **** me,
I've done nothing wrong."
~
"Are you positive Doctor,
it won't feel a thing;"
"The pain is intense,
from that ******* machine."
~
"Is it almost over,
I've somewhere to go;"
"It pulled off my leg,
and it went up that hole."
~
"I hope you know,
it's for the best;
"You got your wish,
it's crushing my chest."
~
"Thank God it's over,
my life can go on;"
There was now, no child,
no voice to respond.

There are numerous, wicked men,
who are nothing more than fiends;
And each one of them work,
in a place known as D. C.
~
Each morning they will donn,
their expensive, silky suits;
To see just how much damage,
these brood of snakes can do.
~
Then off to work they'll go,
with a smirk upon their face;
They call themselves, "Successful,"
I call them a "Disgrace."
~
These vile creatures of habit,
will vote on "Do-Nothing Bills;"
That will serve to weaken our Country,
upon that treacherous Hill.
~
Then home to their cozy Mansions,
they'll return at the days' end;
Daring to call us their, "Leaders,"
daring to call us their, "Friends."

My tears, they fell like raindrops,
as they softly hit the ground;
In the midst of all my fears,
I heard an awesome sound.
~
T'was a still and gentle voice,
calling out to me;
I knew it was my Jesus,
who'd come to set me free.
~
His voice I heard quite clearly,
His comfort I could feel;
His Grace was most abundant,
His presence was for real.
~
"My child," I heard Him tell me,
"The fears that you now know;
I too felt in the Garden,
so many years ago.
~
I ask my Heavenly Father,
if He could take this cup;
Yet if it not be possible,
to give me strength enough.
~
I did all I could do,
and obeyed my Father's Will;
You must trust in Him always,
no matter how you feel.
~
I'll ease your troubled heart,
and wipe away your tears;
I'll give you a new Peace,
you'll keep throughout your years."
~
The storm in me subsided,
peace filled my heart and soul;
I knew that he'd be with me,
where ever I may go.

I met an old man,
at the park yesterday;
Although he was quiet,
he had much to say.
~
I sat down beside him,
this one with no coat;
My heart, truly touched,
as he shook in the cold.
~
He appeared to be hungry,
it was simply a hunch;
For he watched me intently,
as I ate my sack lunch.
~
I held out my sandwich,
to offer him some;
His reply was, "No thank you,
I've more than enough."
~
I was puzzled at first,
so I asked what he meant;
"Everything that I have,
has been Heaven sent.
~
I gave my own lunch,
to a poor, hungry child;
And the look on her face,
put on mine a huge smile.
~
I watched a young man,
shake in the cold;
So I gladly gave him,
my warm, winters' coat.
~
To a family of five,
who had not a home;
I was able to bless them,
when I gave them my own."
~
I sat in still wonderment,
on that icy, park bench;
As I then understood,
what at first he had meant.
~
I then realized,
this man I just met;
Was full of God's love,
was truly God sent.

Don't tell me I can't do it,
I'll disprove you every time;
Don't tell me I won't make it,
when I've made it all my life.
~
Don't tell me that I'll fail,
I'll make you eat your words;
Don't tell me that you dare me,
I'll take your dare for sure.
~
Don't tell me I'm a loser,
when I have known success;
Don't tell me I'm a quitter,
when I've seen you quit yourself.
~
Don't tell me I'm a liar,
when all I say is true;
Don't tell me that I'm hopeless,
when I hope good things for you.
~
Don't tell me God has left me,
the Bible is my proof;
Don't say a single word,
'til you've walked in both my shoes.
