The eyes of God must look down in ecstasy
When He sees all He's made.
In the reaches beyond comprehension
His astral fingers stretch
Into the emptiness of wonders once born
And colossi long since dead
As the glowing limbs of seraphim
Stretch across the stars
Bringing light and wonder new to places oh so far.

If Humanity were a clock,
We would be
The last second.
The last second
On a time bomb
About to explode.

If Humanity were a star,
We would be
Tiny and Dull.
Tiny and Dull
But hot enough still
To burn our world away.

If Humanity were Earth's master,
We would be
Alone on our tiny rock.
Alone on our tiny rock,
Unimpeded by nature,
A world we've always wanted.

If Humanity were humane,
We would be unable to look
On what we've done.
On what we've done
We look anyways
But we don't see.

We are blinded by our pride.

Hamilton tickets...
Body parts you don't need?
I can sell an arm...
It's a haiku. Deal with it.

We wandered far and wide looking for something new-
We thought that we had already done everything there was to do.
We sauntered through forests of doubt and confusion
But our conflict was just an illusion.
We came back home to reach the conclusion
That our little hovel had plenty for me and you.
The first poem I have published. About not being thankful-count your blessings!
