Horizon’s hold,

  Clouds move.

  Eyelid of sun,

  Delays dawn,

Light liberates.
We're all looking for something
To spend our something on
Like a leaf looks for a breeze
A singer looks for a song

Some look for what matters
Some don't care at all
Some are looking for a lift out of this
While others look for a fall

Some flowers like people are looking for Spring
So they can begin again
Some look for the Winter to spill its chill
Putting this all to an end

Some are looking for this and that
Some only looking for this
Sweet 16 by any means
Are out there looking for their first kiss

Some are looking for answers
As problems in life abound
Some are looking for their inner voice
But have yet to hear the sound

Some are looking at a broken heart
In hopes that it will heal
Some have lost the fact of who they are
And only show up for meals

Some are looking to join the crowd
Some to be left alone
Some know where it's at but have yet to grasp the fact
Like when a poet looks for a poem
When you fall asleep
And lost in dreams
Does your heart keep
What no one sees?
Does your soul speak words
Of times gone by
And the stars at night
Keep the truth inside?
When your breathing slows
And your eyes are closed
Does your mind subside
To the still of night?
When the wind brakes free
And the leaves all fall
Do your thoughts belong
To you at all?
And when the moon will wane
Does your soul remain
Chained in fear and pain
Only free to strain?
When the truth you know
Seems to seldom go
Will your heart still beat
As at night you sleep?
And when a star shoots down
From the midnight sky
Will you still be here
Always at my side?
When your soul weeps
For the tears you keep
Will you ever find
That you will be free?
And when the morning dawns
Upon a brand new day
Will your soul still find
A journey laid?
And if you listen close
To the morning sun
Will your dreams come true
Only One by one?
And if all is said
When all is done
Does your heart belong
To at least someone?
And if  goodbye becomes
What today will be
Will you think of life
And remember me....
if this is the best then the best has to do,
but I won't have mediocre,
semolina
tapioca
or plum duff,
I want my just desserts.

be careful
what you wish for in a dish for dessert.

The 'diet of worms!'
is sold as a fish supper to poor people?
or it might be something to do with
the 'holy Roman empire'
either way
it's peculiar.

I'm watching the sun set
and that's
spectacular.

We were both love. I was a rose and you were a snowflake. Both beautiful and gentle but unable to coexist effectively because flowers can’t blossom in the cold.

Yet when it ended, the truth became misconstrued.
Suddenly I was a thorn that pricked you till you bled.
And you were frostbite that nipped away at my skin.

We created false portrayals of each other to make this all a bit easier to deal with.

But the truth will always stay.

We were both beauty, purity, fragility, love.
We just weren’t meant to give our love to each other.

And now we both bleed, because the hardest part is accepting we were never meant to be.
We were never meant for each other..
I saw my mother's face today
when I looked into the mirror.
Been wondering for a long time
what happened to her.
I couldn’t put this must-read down, nor yet
Its many woven layers of tapestry
(Or maybe layered weavings of mystery?) -
This book seethes with passion; much blood is let

Beautifully crafted in the tradition of
A riveting re-telling all gritty
Wild, bold, and haunting, nuanced and witty
A daring, different tour-de-force of love

Lyrical, satirical, and compelling
And when the heroine’s not whispering
                                     she’s yelling

Ain
Kabhi mujh mein kabhi tum mein phudakti tum to rehti **...
Tumhein bandish mein kya gherun ke dariya si tum behti **...

[Sometimes in me sometimes in you, you keep twitching...
How can I put restrictions around you as you flow like a stream...]

Kabhi dekhun tumhein nazron ko bhar ke dil behel jaaye.....
Kabhi tum par nazar gir kar bhi nazrein bas taras jaaye.....

[Sometimes when I watch you my heart finds its contentment....
Sometimes even as I lay my eyes on you I am left with an unfulfilled yearning...]

Kabhi titli si tum guzro fiza mein rang ko phailaaye...
Kabhi khushboo si tum baslo har ek kone ko mehkaaye...

[Sometimes like a butterfly you flutter and spread colors in the air...
Sometimes like fragrance spread you stay in all corners...]

Kabhi dil ke kisi kone mein yaadon ki lo angdaayi....
Kabhi zehno vehem mein hi khayaalon ki shakal aayi...

[Sometimes in a corner of my heart you remain comfortably like a memory...
Sometimes in the mind you appear like a thought crossed...]

Kabhi main sochta *** tum haqeeqat mein ** bhi ya nahi....
Magar “Ain” e fikar se dekhun main tum hi *** main to nahi...

[Sometimes I wonder if you exist in reality...
But when I ponder over it I find that in me there’s just you I don’t even exist....]
