My Travels:
I have traveled the country,
All across, state to state,
I’ve met people that are so different,
You’d never find anyone else similar to them.

I’ve traveled my mind,
I’ve seen all of the darkest corners,
It’s only made up of shadows,
So it isn’t that difficult.

I’ve traveled through the waves of emotion,
I feel sadness,
I feel anger,
I feel numb,
I feel nothing.

My travels include everything a teenager could ever want,
But my travels just make me feel more lonely,
A lonely road for a lonely girl,
It isn’t difficult to feel lonely when you’re always alone…

My travels,
My travels have taught me to always say the words,
“I’m fine”
My travels have taught me,
No matter where you are,
No matter who you’re with,
A depressed mind cannot be fixed through positivity...

I told you, I told you so...
From the beginning,
I told you, I told you’d leave for something better.
It never takes long. You denied and denied and I got comfortable.
Shame on me, I should’ve known. Once, twice, again.
I fell, and I fell hard.
You let me believe you did too.
Why was it even an option? You said you’d always care, you’d always love me and would never leave.
But now you’re walking out the door telling me to believe.
I’ll see you in my dreams, no, my nightmares. The one’s that make me toss and turn and scream in fear and regret.
The nights I cried myself to sleep, painfully whispering to the demons that are there to comfort me, he loved me, he loved me so.
I told you, I told you, no?
