What price do they assign to the songbird who cheers our spirit every morning?
If everything has a number attached to it
then soon the oxygen will have a tag as well,
the grass, the clouds, the colors of the rainbow;
the body is a commodity to the greedy eyes.

One day they'll find that bills and bonds
do not amount to food and water.
Each living being that vanished from the earth
will make their dogma wobble
and they will learn to grieve

Your life is made of distant springs and falls,
a straight route is not
what you own
for hurricanes and storms divert your path
to new horizons.

Will you find horseshoe *****, mussels, clams
on the stopovers?
Food awaits you
if the shores are not ravaged
by human greed, ignorance.

Your resilience is written in B95's ordeals,
a mosaic of adventures ingrained in his own cells.

The threads of your trips assemble
the places of Mother Earth connected in its roles;
nothing is detached in the collective harmony of souls.

Red knot shorebird,
peaceful messenger,
icon of strength without rage,
your story is the universal flight of awareness
waiting to be heard.
Red knot shorebirds are endangered birds due to human greed and ignorance. B95 is a survivor who has traveled the moon and halfway back in terms of distance.

Trips to fairyland,
bike rides to the moon,
explorations of the woods,
time to weave stories,
words into poems and music.

The keyboard of the piano
invites our fingers
to dance and fly toward our dreams.

Time to grow flowers and food,
to let our smiles bite juicy fruits
under bright skies,
curious scents rolling around us.

Mother Nature enlightens the garden.

Friendship is the joyful light of memories
lodged in the body,
the delicate hour
that brought us the sighting of an indigo bunting
fluttering close to our picnic spot.

Friendship is shared laughter and silence,
the color of hope,
the seasons of the soul embraced by loving arms,
the relief of being understood,
gratitude.

Hope lives
in the face of a plant
thriving,
its green hue brightens
with sunlight and rain
nurtured by dreams.

A little forest flourishes beside us,
nourished by souls and hands
tending to it.

Grass, bushes, herbs, trees, food;
the forest draws the family together:
love grows.

Loyalty, honesty and hard work
have been the core of your life.
You are my guiding star
determination and wisdom
infused into my behaviors,
restoration of hope, bravery.

Your sense of humor has enthralled me
since I was a little girl.
Your silent tears
evinced your vulnerability,
the softness of your heart concealed
under the strong shell.

Your inquisitive mind
alongside mum's
fostered my own questions.
Today we continue
to share insightful conversations,
disappointments, joy,
the intrigue of new adventures.

Wherever I go
I hold the strength of your spirit
along the winding paths of life.

Thank you for being my best friend now.

In my childhood years
you planted curious seeds,
fountains of wonder and devotion
that continue to spring and splay,
grow and evolve
into blossoms of hope today.

If I had to express my gratitude
I'd have to paint all your talents
on the canvas of life,
for the older I get the more I comprehend
your fortitude, your support,
 ongoing humble presence,
distant yet close,
and your light shines inside me,
unrelenting,
like an eternal blessing
that will live on in my daughter's heart forever.
My mother is an intelligent talented woman, and her love is and will always be a blessing to me. My father's love is also a blessing.
