I cheer my son in many ways,
Most three hundred and sixty-five days.
I hug him close,
Say,"Can't do without you boss."
Sometimes I see him tense,
Something is wrong I sense,
I kiss his fears away,
Together we kneel and pray.
Out of the blue,
I tell him,"I love you."
He gives me a smile,
Holds onto me for a while.
I sit and  listen as he talks about his day,
I laugh with him and say,
"You are okay."
I discipline him with love,
So that my little dove,
Does not become wild,
Is well mannered and mild.
I let him use his own mind,
His ways he learns to find.
A hug a day,
Keeps your child happy and gay.

And I thought ,
What best gift I could give my grandsons to remember me by,
As I live in Tanzania I invited them to climb Mt Kilimanjaro,
The highest mountain in Africa,
They scaled up to Uhuru Peak at 5895 meters and back to Horombo camp in just four days.
They said it was an awesome experience.
Tomorrow I will send them to Zanzibar,
Their grandfathers birthplace,
To enjoy its beautiful white beaches,
Jet skiing, snorkeling,  and swimming with the dolphins,
Not to forget Old Stone Town, with its Arab and kiswahili culture,
Narrow alleys,
A must to spend the evening at Forodhani ,
And enjoy its foodstalls.

I baked a cake,

He never came,

So I took it to old people's home,

The chocolate chip cake with biscuit,
Was a hit,
The oldies loved it.

There are many in this world who need me and appreciate my effort,

When my granddaughter was four she refused to call me Dadi,
Insisting her daddy was my son.
Tears swelled in her eyes,
So I pacified her,
I told her I was her daddy's mother so she could call me Dadima.
So I am Dadima to my son's children,
And  Nanima to my daughter's  children.

Constructions of makeshift hospitals with beds and critcal equipment necessary to fight the corona virus.
All hands needed at the helm
To steer through the storm of the deadly virus.
Scientists, doctors,pharmacists paramedics, nurses,carers,
volunteers, donors manufacturers to cleaners all deserve an ode and special prayers,
Claps are not enough,
Thank you's are not enough,
These people live on remote control,
To save and protect lives their first priority.
I pray to Lord to give them strength and courage to heal the infected,
To give solace to those who panic
The will to serve humanity.
The spirit to care for and support one another,
Lord,you are strength and refuge,
Guide them,
Reward them in this life,
Answer their prayers,
And if they die in the service of humanity their afterlife is in Heaven.
Amen.

Death beckons,

Life spent in vices,
You have no  choices,
For death will be excruciatingly  painful,
Your soul will be wrenched,if sinful
But, Your death will be gentle,
If to Allah you had been dutiful.
The grave will be your abode of hereafter.
For evil doer your grave will be your House of Loneliness,
Squeezed to narrowness.
For good doer,
Your hereafter,
Will be your Garden Of Paradise.

The sincerity of a person lies during one's hardships,
And find how much your children love you in your old age.
