Splatters of Paint
                            There she goes again
          With her relapse
                                        Doomed for perfection

Pain is her canvas
                                      Only this time
      There are bright colors
                                                Matching the flowers
Outside her room

In solitary bloom --
Mid afternoon that day
I stood at the doorway
For a moment in time
I was a small child
Enraptured by wild
Flowers and gentle breeze
Serenity of these
Watered blueberries and
Green grass with white fences
Tickling my senses

coming back to
        the sunset
                              after leaving
                                    the wilderness
            of nostalgia
                                                she wasn't afraid
                      to leave-- for once
    now Dear Jane,
                    please:
spark a flame!
              spark a flame!
      into the road
                                      where you felt
                  lost.

Seas of blood, and armies abound
Beneath gray skies and blue tears
The force still exists in our hearts
A force not to be reckoned with

Tides of black waters hit among trees
As the sun and moon gravitate on earth
Violence is aroused at every turn
The force still exists in our hearts

Sickness and ignorence spread like fire
Families are broken, hearts are heavy
Corruption in countries - unresolved
The force still exists in our hearts

Invasions and battles - undefeated
Torture among the innocents
As the animals run loose in valleys
The force still exists in our hearts

Wars between faith and fuel
Carry the weight of our distress
The force still exists as gravity
That force is love

November of that year when
Ocean tides came rolling then
Venting in my soul and heart
Eyeing inspiring art
Memorable it was that night
Bringing out passion to light
Enveloped by Autumn leaves
Remembered who that believes

Sun beaming along the stream
      reflection at its finest
Early morning clouds on this
      day--when everything made sense
Your window opened and I
      came through the fire
To rescue you from yourself
With love by the river dock

stillwater
    runs deep
    clear as can be
                        but
the music---
is where I find
                                        you
numb
numb to truth
numb to love
numb to all
                          things
                                        you
a kiss
is where
    you'll see
                    the other side
                                of you
