She Seeks
She seeks, each morning new, her desire
And me? I remember her, she who I did desire

Dripping, rain finds home from its flight from the clouds
I still falling fail to land from loss of she who I did desire.

Downward, ever downward, continuance of journey
To an end that God for me does desire

I alone, slowly race through crowds
To be alone among them my desire

And none of them, not one seem to know me
And fewer to know me seem to desire

Life - it is so - and to have it so I desire
As she plays all cards to win her desire.
This poem is one of my attempts at Ghazal format poetry.
It is also part of the "Lady of the Sweetest Smile" series of poem... look them up on Www.WritingsinRhyme.com
