Illegal Moves
Chelsea Evans Sep 2020
You started the game but I finished it.
It was full go from the start but I ended it.

It moved too fast and you lost the game.
I won. I’m the winner.

You used illegal moves.
Psychological warfare.

When I saw these moves I ended it.
I am the winner.

Now covered in psychological scars,
You’re just a distant memory.

Love and Stability
Chelsea Evans Sep 2020
You showed me what
I needed in a relationship.
but You just couldn't give it.
You played me for so long,
but I just couldn't let go.
Why did You drag me along?
breaking Me numerous times.

I had to let You go.
I couldn't do it anymore.
I walked out of the door
and into the arms of Someone
who gave me everything they had.
Love and Stability.

Semester Two
Chelsea Evans Jul 2020
Sat in a lecture theatre
with a high ceiling

It’s a new semester.
Another mastermind
teaching us.

He walks in with his
bag pack and fold-up bike.

His name is Tom.

Tom teaches poetry
to the first years.

“I hate poetry”
- Tom Herron

From that moment,
Everyone liked Tom.

Red Face
Chelsea Evans Jul 2020
there's red all
over your face.
the smell of
tomatoes in the
air.
you do not
eat with grace.
But that's the
life of a child
with Blonde hair.

Blue Lines
Chelsea Evans Jul 2020
You see those two lines and
you jump with happiness.
But then the feeling of worry
suddenly comes out of nowhere and
you start to question how it happened.
You were careful.
But, were you really that careful?
From now, your life will change forever.
You now have something depending on you
for survival, to then have it taken away
from you ten days later.
Physical and Mental pain clashing
against each other for first prize.
You tell yourself that this isn't your fault
and that it just wasn't meant to be.
But you still blame yourself.
You lost your child, an innocent life, a life
that you should have been protecting in
nine months time.
But ten weeks later, another two lines.
She has the most beautiful smile,
weighing 5lbs 11oz.
