If I die in a school shooting
I'll never go home again.
My room will sit unused,
A capsule frozen in time,
A snapshot of how I was.

If I die in a school shooting
I'll never see my dog again.
She will sit at the front door
Waiting for me and wondering,
Why I never came home.

If I die in a school shooting
I'll never graduate from high school.
My yearbooks will sit stacked
Stopped short of their goal,
Missing years that should have been.

If I die in a school shooting
I'll never see my mom again.
She will sit distraught,
Planning a funeral
For a child taken from her.

If I die in a school shooting
I'll never see my friends again.
They'll sit together, missing me.
One empty seat among them,
A constant reminder of their loss.

If I die in a school shooting
I'll never see my little sister again.
She will sit through high school
Knowing I can't guide her through,
That she has to figure it out alone.

If I die in a school shooting
My school will be stained.
Pools of students lives will sit,
Blood tattoos on the brick structures,
Marks of death ground into it.

If I die in a school shooting
Everyone will wear black.
They'll send their thoughts and prayers
To a town marred by death,
Forever to be the home of a shooting.

If I die in a school shooting
Will the world change?
Or will I become one of hundreds
Of kids who have to die?
What will it take?

If things continue this way
Children will have to live in fear.
They'll look over their shoulders
Always worried and wondering,
If they'll die in a school shooting.
The state of Florida is now home to the two most deadly mass shootings in American history. Pulse Nightclub was attacked in my city, I have friends who attend Marjory Stoneman Douglas in Parkland. My little sister often fears going to school. I'm afraid to graduate and leave her. I want to be able to protect her if something happens. I hate that we have a reason to be afraid... That it's reasonable to have these fears. I hate it so f*cking much.
if i were president
i would tell my people
and make them
know that
if you have more
give more
and
if you have less
give more
because
it makes you feel better.

if i were president
i would give
all the foreclosed homes
in America
to the homeless.
when people feel safe,
they feel better
they would grow
and participate in society
they would no longer be homeless.

if i were president
i would tell my people
and make them
know that
societies norm
the one that
we are all scared of
but hide it,
the one that makes us feel judged,
and misunderstood,
that society
should not
and will not
define how we think
because we are stronger than that.

if i
were president
i would be a leader
act like
a leader
talk like
a leader
and be an example
for future leaders.

when i become president.

a string, i call him
not strong
not thick
not even sturdy

with every strum,
i stumble upon
with every shake,
i start to flake

as i walk through
between yes and no,
as i pass through
over stop and go,

determined
to slit,
to cut,
or even to chop

whichever you choose
i'm gonna let you loose

no more twines,
of yours and mine
no more strands,
of ifs and buts

finally,
firm and settled
to be free
and untangled.
random.

Kem-Ann
As the night whistles, he whispered goodnight,
a kiss in the forehead
and a hug so tight

Sleep so calm as his arms wrapped around,
safe and sound
finally, I'm home bound

Few times I've failed, guess this time is different,
he is the one,
he truly is permanent

Valentines, Halloweens and Christmases we shared,
the screams, the fights
and the hateful words we've aired

Kisses and tears, oddly perfect kind of pair,
'Sorry' after 'Sorry'
yet we managed to bear

Our spark , our vibe makes me blush thereafter,
even those senseless thoughts
and genuine laughter

Engagement came, fast forward to wedding,
such a plot
that i have my happy ending.

20something
empty bottles litter the room
too many have passed your lips
lying bathed in darkness
eyes bloodshot with tomorrow's regrets
you hold my hand like an anchor
keeping you from drifting in this lonely sea
as 80 proof courses violently through your veins
I like to believe you chose me to be here with you anyways

silence surrounds us until you finally find peace
desperate to remain afloat even if only in your dreams
my breaths ebb and flow to the rhythm of your heartbeats
my restless nights without you I'll spend
thinking of times like these
so if only for this moment
right now you need me
an antidote that will save you from yourself
then that is what I'll be
even if you’re the drug
from which I need relief

Rhianecdote
It's high time some people realise
That putting others down
Doesn't elevate you in any way,
shape or form

So before you take issue with me
How about you take issue
with your own insecurity?

Cause it's not a justification
for being ******
We all ***** from time to time but some people take it to another level. I've never quite understood the need for the hate or ****** comments some make about others, particularly those they don't know or even worse they're own supposed friends! I don't like being around that bad vibe, I don't like how you can be dragged into it. To say it makes me feel uncomfortable would be an understatement. For a long time I have learnt to extend patience and consideration when I understand that others "bad vibes" are coming from a place of either hurt or a low in themselves but I don't think it's always good to pander to people's low self esteem especially if they're in the wrong. In fact being blunt can do them some favours

When the inflated crunching sky turns into the black hole, one by one the expected stars slowly falling on the horizon, sudden deep dark clouds cover the silky face of moon, or the earth takes the full moon.

Long, long shadows darken the meadows, southern wind can’t open your closed window at all, standing along on the curve of a road, a sigh to fly in the wind, roaming heart finding a home.

See the mystic form of the known objects, distant standing old banyan tree suppose to feel a lonely friend of mine, a friend of rootless time, when silly, bogus thoughts engulfed me, want to break up but change does not cry out.

Melancholy beauty in the dark, floating with the imagine gulls in the sky, draw the red sun on the canvas of dark sky within the wings of dream, again see you are playing with the seven colors across my unfinished sky.

Every time I go to school
Is like me finding my soul

They say learning is great
But why am I losing myself?

Going to school will defined your future
But it's not the future that I envisioned.

I can shout it to the world
I hate school! I hate school!

But the funny thing is
I hate myself even more

Why do I hate school that much?
Am I still normal or not?

Selfish me as always
I badly want you back
If time is all I need
I'll cry a blood for it

Maybe this is wishful thinking
That you smiling back to me
But probably mindless dreaming
That me holding you again

I don't know if you already knew
If there's anything I can do
No question asks
I will do it for you

No RMT, PhD or MD can replaced
A title God entitled me to be
As ' The Grand Daughter ' to you
As I will always be
#missinyou #grandma #love #hope
