Taylor Flattery Jul 2013
She opens her eyes and can’t get up
She’s on the floor, there’s nothing but blood
Her eyes search the room but she can’t seem to focus
There’s a sharp unbearable pain in her wrist
She tries to remember she searches her thoughts
Her mind is empty and she is lost
She sees the blade across the floor
Now she can remember a little more
He finally showed up after 2 years
He finally came, he was finally here
But he was too late, when he walked in
She was on the floor, sadness within
She slit her wrists and he came running
Tears in his eyes, he though she was stunning
He held her in his arms as her heart slowed down
When her pulse wasn’t there he didn’t make a sound
He held her tight, and took the blade
Too much blood she couldn’t be saved
He lied with her on the floor
He cut his wrists more and more
Holding her tight he wouldn’t let go
The blood kept running, a steady flow
His breathing slowed, he finally died
A few hours later she opened her eyes
When she remembered it all, she turned around
And saw her love dead on the ground.
She couldn’t believe what she saw
She took the blade that started it all
Tears formed in her eyes, she slit her throat
To be with the man who loved her so
