Rough seas
Taija Oct 2018
Falling in love with you was like cliff diving into rushing waters, I knew I would drown, but I jumped anyways.

Nothing I did could stop me from being dragged down to the bottom, the sea of you engulfed me.

Water filled my lungs and you just watched me. I was screaming, kicking, and doing everything I could to stay afloat.

I forgot to tell you I can't swim.

Fire & Ice
Taija Jul 2018
I felt you in the air that night.

The windows were shut but a breeze still ignited a wave of goose bumps all over my body.

Wrapped up in blankets, I felt the touch of your frosted fingertips on my shoulder.

My love was never warm enough to melt your arctic presence.

Not a day goes by that I don’t think
about the way your hands felt
intertwined with mine, or the way
your hair gently danced on your
shoulders, or how your dimples
would form into canyons when I
made you laugh, or how your
freckles were their own tiny
constellations in the night sky,
or how the sound of your voice
could calm the harshest storms,
or when I kissed you it felt like I was
myself and I was comfortable
with you, with us... and I can’t
shake the feeling that maybe
somewhere I went wrong... I was
silly to hide you from the world
when you deserved to be every
billboard in the world. I was young,
and you were the first girl I ever
kissed, and that scared me.

chest on top of chest
hot and heavy breath
goosebumps all over
fingers wandering
mouths trailing off
skin is warm to the touch
stong arms hold me closer
show me what love really is.

Your only poem
Taija Apr 2018
I hope you read this.
I hope when you hear these words,
your stomach becomes upset.
I hope that you spend time,
reading every poem I’ve sent.
I hope hearing this kills you.
none of the poems I’ve written, ones about falling in love, ones about being in love, and even falling out of love,
have never been about you.
frankly, because I never loved you.

Listen
Taija Apr 2018
The sound of your heart beating is liking a ringing in my ear; playing for hours, upon hours. The regular thump of it engraved into my brain.

It sounds of a broken faucet,
letting droplets of water,
drip out one by one.

On nights when I cannot close my eyes, your beating heart plays through my head and I fall deeply, not only into sleep, but in love.

loving me like art
Taija Apr 2018
my flesh
is your canvas.
your hands smooth over my body
like a paint brush.
my body is covered in goosebumps
adding texture to the picture.
my body is throbbing,
aching, for your brush strokes
long stokes, filled with passion
fast short quick strokes that leave me
breathless, gasping for air.
your hands continue to trace the
outline of my body, like a pen on paper
they graze my *******, your fingertips
grip around my ******* as you twist and
pull.
your lips come into contact with my pale pink ones, your tongue is a satin brush caressing mine, swirling your brush around the inside of my mouth like you were cleaning off the excess paint.
your lips trails off down my neck
your teeth nibble on my skin
creating a masterpiece of deep purple tones.
I crave every inch of you inside of me.

Falling for nobody
Taija Apr 2018
A smile danced carelessly across your lips, as I playfully bit mine.

The moonlight peeked through the closed window above your bed, casting shadows that projected a film on your bedroom walls.

We were tucked away underneath the comforter that sat heavy on your mattress, giggling about god knows what.

Our hands were friendly than we thought. Your arms were holding me close to your chest, my fingertips grazed your open palm, we clasped them together.

My head sat upon your shoulder, your lips pressed against my forehead. This would be the moment I fell for you.

You linger in my mind. I long for your touch, eyes on me, the feeling of strong hands on my body just once more. I crave the very being of your soul. Everything is telling us to stay apart but if I plug my ears, the only thing I hear is the blood rushing to my beating heart.

Whenever I see you I have this ever burning desire to press my lips against yours; it's as if time comes to an halt when our eyes meet. It's wrong for me to lust for you, but it feels so right.

The winds of Autumn
Taija Dec 2017
I met you when the air was filled with strong winds, the snow was piled up high and roads were icy;

Soon the leaves started to grow back, the flowers blossomed along with gentle a breeze, it rained a lot;

Not long after the air was warm when it pushed against my skin, the sky filled with singing birds;

Later, the wind brought the leaves to the ground, crisp air filled my lungs as I inhaled;

I fell in love with you more and more as the year move along;

But my heartache found it's way in through the open window on a rainy fall day; that's when I realized that the wind can bring in more than just love.

Green eyes

Not even the ever changing colors of autumn can compare to your eyes.
Even when every plant dies, your eyes still glisten as if they were a raindrop rolling off a leaf in the spring.

A map
Taija Nov 2017
Your body is uncharted territory, I want to uncover the secrets you keep hidden under your skin.

Your mind is the ocean, endless. Many of your thoughts, wants, and wishes have been displaced among the passing storms, swept up in countless waves; just waiting to be washed up on shore, concealed as a letter in a bottle.

Your heart is unlike any other wonder in this world, a glowing orb of fire; masked behind  cages of ribs and tucked away from ever reaching the surface by a layer of ivory flesh... never wanting to be found.

Replay
Taija May 2017
I just can’t stop thinking about you. I swear you are like a scratched record replaying, replaying, replaying, the same part. You are always there in the cracks & crevices of my mind, my body, & my soul. You have become a part of my life; a part of me. Even when my heart is crushed into thousands of pieces, beneath all the rubble & debris, the sound of your lips curling to form the words ‘i love you’ will still be playing.

Longing for your touch
Taija Jan 2017
I've never craved the touch of another, until I met you.

You make my lips quiver as your tongue glazes over top of them.

My legs tremble as your fingertips make their way down my body.

My lungs weak from the way you make me moan and gasp for air.

My hair, messy from us being naughty under your covers.

My voice cracks more and more every time I scream your name.

You show me how much I want you.

My Love ( a sonnet )
Taija Jan 2017
Nights are filled with the harsh winds of winter,
The darkness from dusk to dawn toyed with you,
Lights are dimmed but shine as you re-enter;
Eyes filled with tears as wet as morning dew.

You fall onto the bed, your heart is aching,
I stand there not knowing how to fix this,
Silence fills the room, you are breaking;
You go numb, I give you a final kiss.

As I shut your eyes... I cry out to you,
The once silent room is now filled with screams,
My world without you is a dark grey hue;
My life is to be ripped all at the seams.

I must end it all to be with my love,
Heartbreak can ****, I will see her above.

Unsatisfied
Taija Jan 2017
They say the touch of another can heal; so
how come when you touch me i'm still
unsatisfied, still craving more.

Every time you touch me it leaves me in an
unholy mess. For your touch is poison , but I
—can't get enough of it.

Hush...
Taija Jan 2017
Let my hands do all the talking.

My long nails dig into the skin on your back,
Creating red lines of passion.
You let out a soft moan and begin to say something.

My hands move to your neck, my fingers wrap around and squeeze tightly;
My mouth presses against your ear,
"I said let my hands do the talking".

As I am there, my teeth gently caress the edges of your ear, sending goosebumps all over your body.

I make my way slowly down your neck to your collarbones, kissing every inch. You go to let out another whimper, my hand covers your mouth.

I continue traveling down your chest, my tongue leads me closer and closer to your hardened ****.

My hand grips the base of you. I glide my fingertips up and down the shaft, teasing you... is what I do best.

Pre-*** drips down. I lick it off slowly, never forgetting to look straight into your dark brown eyes.

Your head falls back. Your hand moves from the bed sheets to the top of my head, tangled in my mess of hair.

You push down on my head and your **** is sliding down my throat. I choke and gag, "Now that your mouth is full... it's my turn to talk."

Another Loving You
Taija Jan 2017
Autumn
The season of change.
Winter
The season of death.
Spring
The season of rebirth.
Summer
The season of healing.

A cycle I went through but I still miss you,

I'll miss you when the wind is rough and leaves are scattered about. When the air outside is cold and makes me sick. When the sky lights up and screams out your name in the way the thunder claps.

Because, when the storm clears and the birds come out, I realize...

Another year has passed, I still love you.
