#youareperfect
I’m tired of these misconceptions
The expectation for perfection
Everyone is pointed in the wrong direction
They are the light of the world
so let us be their inspiration
hold a candle in their honor
and let’s begin the celebration!
Inconceivable mysteries hidden in the minds of young children
They are the ones that see but do not expect perfection
I’m not perfect, but soon you’ll begin to see
That perfect is not the thing to be
Because what is inside is the only explanation you could ever need
Innocence is what’s inside
And that’s the beauty of it, you see
In their beautiful, untainted minds
Perfection is an idea that exists in everything
Everything big, everything small
Children see the beauty in it all
Why can’t we see from the eyes of children?
That innocence is lost in the older generation
We’ve seen the horror and pain
Again and again
We’ve got so caught up in drama and evil, that we no longer see the beauty and perfection
It’s a sad, sad thing that this world is coming to
But children, they see right through

The day I wished for you to see,
That you were born to be free.
You were created with an Artist's hand,
You were formed from Mighty Breath and sand.
How I long for you to know your worth,
You have been perfect since your birth.
Stop judging an artwork so rare,
And start handling yourself with care.
You know not the beauty that you hold,
You were created to be both brave and bold.
Stand up and don't give an ear,
To all the negative comments born from fear.

She felt ugly, from the inside and out
Her stomach never small enough to satisfy oneself
She turned to her side, and cried while staring at the mirror
The reflection that shown back at her, made her feel insecure
She said she wasn't hungry, as she began to starve herself
The craving that built up inside, did anything but help
The bones began to show, and her frown began to widen
Her grotesque sticklike figure, began to leave her frightened
Finally she realized, she was beautiful before
As her sticklike figure faded, and she began to eat once more

No matter how many times someone tells you that you are smart or that you are stupid, you are no more or less intelligent after those comments.
No matter how many time someone tells you that you're pretty or that you are ugly, you are no more or less beautiful after those comments.
Only your opinion of yourself matters.
No one can change the way you feel about yourself unless you let their comments influence you.
You are whatever you want to be.
You are whatever you aspire to be.
You are you and that's all that matters.
