My mother would often suggest I sleep on it.
Presumably mulling over all the possible outcomes whilst dreaming.
We were raised with anxiety, my mother was a live wire; adrenaline primed our hearts to avoid judgment, or catastrophe in an uncertain future.
At this very moment I am living in the now, and in love with all living things, no-longer afraid; no longer clinging to the illusion of control, in an uncertain future.

He gives his heart a shake,
And laughs until his belly aches.
The only other sound’s the break,
Of distant trees and birds awake.

Learn to look through the dark,
when there is no way,
the light will guide to move you far away.

Tiring eyes, Dozing legs, cry
Where the heart, let you go and try
To spot every pleasing dawn makes mind fly

Riding, Gliding in a flow,
Through the paths high and low,
Moving clouds on the blue,
Wandering beneath without clue.
To sneak at the peak,
listening to the crickets creek,
along with the buzzing winds,
riding through the uncovered mists

Have you ever imagined yourself in-between the trees,
disconnecting yourself from the ideal world,
where there is no one to judge you,
where you can enjoy your own company,
caring for none, but only one...

clearing my ways ahead,
just to find peace ☮ in a land,
when the dramatic world lacks its bond,
you to just behold and stand...
and up above the clear free sky,
wandering through the passing clouds nearby

Incredulous
It seems
When you grew to
Connect with the
Spaces
You
Left
Your
Prints
In
While the others
Only left their memories.

The evening breeze,
the rhythm of the trees,
the song of love,
the honey bees,
I climb back under the covers
and dream of traveling horses,
starry skies, valleys and plains;
from which the mountains rise.
I keep my feet upon the ground.
She keeps her eyes upon the road.
Our souls, wild and fertile, roaming with desire,
Our souls, wild and fertile, roaming with desire,
but love ?
In that she is replete;
traveling from A to Z.
and i'm happy for her.

Void less echoes shimmer across
the hull, as her thoughts delve in
to the scintillescent embers of her
past. She couldn't have foreseen
that every pebble gazed downward
upon, wasn't worth the ripple of an
anchor without her.
Her hands held on to the metal as
if it were of meaning, caressing its
indentations. She knew every bolt
and rivet that kept her within the
confines of this place. She used to
gaze outward in this very
same spot.
Memories are like stars, fading after
they have burnt brightly for so long.
This is why she came to this window.
Casting a gaze thinking of the beauty
before her, possibilities to her endless
imaginings, but then she faded
before me.
But space is cold, and now she ventures
beyond my grasp, a grain in an ocean
eternity. I look outward thinking of her
everyday. Knowing that one day I’ll be a
grain finding her
in the sands of time

And to you, the hermit
I give the world
Such is your domain
And your quality

We walked the B roads slowly and
hunted out the barns at night
worked on farms or building crews
and we
got
things just right.
Not too little is just enough
you don't need stuff you don't need,
just enough for food and beer, but not
enough for greed.
We walked the B roads slowly
and we got there in the end
me and Jackson Oliver,
my one and only friend.

He comes from the far away lands
Old and wrinkled,
His eyes,
The only sign of mirth.
Savage in looks,
A gentleman so good.
He still hears the oceans
The average man has never known.
They ask him about the golden deserts, the forests so lush and wild,
They scream with excitement, "Tell us about the deep seas and the winds so agile!"
He rarely listens but hears all of them,
Then what he does is, smile, smile and smile again.

If our world ends in a year,
will we cling to our stubbornness?
Can humanity think more than ourselves,
and think about the greater good?
If you had to leave your family to save humanity,
will you leave your daughter, father, son, wife or any of your ilk to voyage into the stars for new home?
With the dying of our planet caused by humanity,
are we going to sacrifice everything so we could find a place like earth?
Human beings always seems to push our boundaries,
and our next voyage will be the stars!
If global warming destroys the world in a year,
will we stand vigilant in the coming tide,
and willing to allow the better of us to progress humanity?

why are we so obsessed
with fixing ourselves
or finding someone else who will
we're not puzzles
or riddles
or broken
we're not really lost
we're wandering
we are travellers
we're neither things
we are human
we are feelings
we don't need someone to
complete us
or fix us
stop trying to convince yourself
that you need for someone
to replace that loneliness
darling,
light a fire
and let yourself feel the warmth
