#transcendance
Last week, on a particularly dark Sunday;
With only a permit between me and eternity;
I exhaled and it was gone.
Gone was the hurt and anger and pain
Gone was self-doubt and anguish and fear
Gone was the guilt and regret and self hate
Because gone was me
Not my body, or my mind
Not my love or appreciation
Those were expanded, exponentially.
No I literally mean me.
The guy driving, the pilot
The Great and Powerful Oz,
I pulled back the curtain
and no one was there.
And I was absolutely ecstatic
In a rush of pure love
The talking head exploded
and a butterfly took flight
"I think he's really gone this time"
Good riddance.

In the night
I watch the candle flame
cast its flickering glow
through its own transluscence
A tiny flame
of light in the dark
of warmth in the cold
It dances to the breeze of the ceiling fan
as if fanning a spark of belief in my soul
A tiny flame
to show the way
to point the proper path
We need no raging fire to light the way
A tiny flame is enough

In my soul where He resides
In my soul is where He hides
Undetected by human eyes
Unprotected from human cries
He hears the world full of pain
And He tells me how to stay sane
Telling me to take my time
No need for a life of crime
Don’t let money mislead you
Then people will mistreat you
And act as if you don’t belong
So just let knowledge make you strong
No need for riches, you will gain wealth
Without sacrificing your mental health
When all is well with your soul
I will help you meet your goal
For this, I thank Him every day
Now that He has shown the True way
I find I’m living life to learn
Never knowing where life will turn
With Him there only is progressing
Where He leads, I am left guessing
And so you see, that’s just the thing
It’s up to Him, because He is King
