#totalitarianism
We would speak, but they threw our speakers from the glass condos. Then we whispered, but then they monitored our wisps. We stabbed words into our skin, yet they police our flesh beneath the sheet-metal roofs. We would think, but cant— as the corpses thudding against the metal would stop raining, but the rain masks the laughing so we’d rather be deaf than fooled.

Sheet Metal
Man is a wild animal in a herd, a group that organizes to be tamed but it's not easy to get the systems right There are unexpected effects or oppressive requirements No one is responsible Deposing leaders, killing dictators makes no difference The people tolerate the successor Help is needed From the outside, but the borders are deadly to humanity So I must appreciate little things, a glance the clouds, fresh bread once and dream what is forbidden

Bad Dream
I belong to no country you may war against and tomorrow’s place I find, for my head, under your military boots, and the roaring thunder of your steel and fire shaking my ground. I belong to no race when a color mistake can take your reason away, and all your eyes can see is but a shade of who I am; pull a trigger and **** a hue of soul I share with you You’ll never see through you are color blind I belong to no religion whose choice of god conflict with yours— convince me you think you must and you might with a bullet in my head or a blade tearing my neck apart— what does it take to live in your world? worship you or your god. I belong to no man no country no race no religion; I belong to you I will never **** you but if you do watch out for the rusty blade you ****** not too deep and I will always be a thorn in your side but deep enough will end up in your heart you also do belong to me.

I Belong
We shall keep the poor poor. We shall be on them like a master's whip on the backs of slaves;  but they will not know us: we are too far and too near. We shall use the patois of patriotism to patronize them. We shall hide behind our flags, while we hold only one pole. We shall have the poor fight our wars for us, and die for us;  and before they die, they will **** for us, we hope, enough. In peace, we shall piecemeal them, and serve them meals made of toxins and tallow. For their labor, we shall pay them slave wages;  and all that we give, we shall take back, and more, by monumental scandals that subside like day's sun at eventide. We shall be clever, as ever, circumspect and surreptitious at all times. We shall keep them deluded with the verisimilitude of hope, but undermine always its being. We shall infuse their lives with fear and hate, playing one race against another, one religion against a brother's. Disaffection is our key;  but we must modulate our efforts deftly, so the poor remain frightened and angered, but always blind and deaf and divided. And if, perchance, one foments, we shall seize the moment and drop his head into his hands, even as he speaks. This internecine brew we pour, there- fore, into the poor to keep them drunk enmity and incapacitation. Ah, eternal anticipation! Bottoms up, old chaps! We, those who rule, shall have them always in our laps. We are, as it were, their salvation. Tod Howard Hawks

THOSE WHO RULE
You will not Cut out my tongue Until you bury my corpse. I shall be, And speak, in freedom, And shall owe no explanation. If it comes To strength and iron, I'll fall like my ancestors, Dying in the name of what's right.

Some introductory food for thought... "Threats to freedom of speech, writing and action, though often trivial in isolation, are cumulative in their effect and, unless checked, lead to a general disrespect for the rights of the citizen" - George Orwell "There is only three states of being. There is slavery, tyranny, those are both forms of conflict, or negotiation. Negotiation depends on freedom of speech and you have to be able to talk to people if you are not going to fight with them or capitulate to them." - Jordan Peterson "If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” - George Orwell The key proponents of the Bill and it's context... On the 18th October 2016, Bill C-16 received Royal assent in Canada, despite having a small, but thorough opposition, even from those within the LGBT community who felt that the proponents of the Bill did not represent their desires, but that of the most extreme and ideological spectrum of their community. A prominent figure in the opposition to the Bill was Jordan Peterson, a Professor of Psychology at the University of Toronto, who has dedicated a great length of time in study into the **** and Soviet regimes of the past, paying particular attention to the ideological and psychological elements of those periods, which has built his principles as strongly opposed to ideological thought, Postmodernism and Marxism, all of which were instrumental or played roles in the mass genocidal regimes of the early 20th century that began with the subjugation of ideas and speech. The Bill's implementation is an amendment to the Ontario Human Rights Code that makes the refusal by an individual to refer to someone by their preferred gender pronouns a hate crime. It also brands discrimination by 'gender expression' with the same impunity. To those who do not understand what these concepts mean, essentially what the gender pronoun debate is, is how a minority of the LGBT community demand they be refereed to by different pronouns, and have their gender expression (fashion choice) protected by law. For instance, those who claim not to fit into the binary gender pronouns ***** and therefor don't identify as either a man or a woman, wish to be refereed to with artificial neologisms such as ve, they and them. These demands, however, are not being made by the majority of LGBT people, but a small minority of people, mostly younger students who've been indoctrinated into postmodern and social Marxist ideology. This means that the Canadian government is taking the most extreme representation of a group as the representatives of the entire group, which would be like taking the **** Party as a valid representation of Germans, or the British Olympic squad as representatives of the standard fitness of the entire British public. This is a key focus of opponents to the Bill, like Prof. Peterson who recognises (being an employee of a University himself) that Bills like these are the result of borderline indoctrination in the Universities, and not the demands of LGBT people in general. The innate authoritarianism of the bill and it's Marxist/Postmodern motives... Why are the proponents of this Bill innately authoritarian in nature? Well, as Professor Jordan Peterson makes the clear distinction, that unlike other forms of what is deemed hate speech in law, that enforces what you CAN NOT say, this Bill enforces WHAT YOU MUST SAY. As an example, Holocaust denial is considered hate speech, and so you can not express such a position, however, here you are now forced to speak words that you might not want to say, something far more Orwellian that one might be able to conceive when concerning a seemingly trivial enforcement, and having often spoken of gradualism, this is certainly not the end of the issue. What is also concerning is that the supporters of the Bill are evidently ideologically motivated, in terms that their ideology (Marxist/Postmodern) is in itself authoritarian in nature, and as they fail to gain support by ideas, they suppress them. Law like this should not be able to slide through the apparatus of the State this easily, for it conveys on many levels a lack of respect for the generations of people who suffered under despotic rule for centuries until finally the rule of law gave them rights (and now we throw them away). It also shows to those more nefarious groups, that the public will not blink, even when you chip away at their right to speak as they choose, which I don't believe is a habit that should be maintained. - a short essay by FabiusSideman

Canadian Bill C-16: a step in an assault on free speech by the state?

Oh for a world without wars! Free of terrorists. Where each and every one of us Can go about our daily lives Without any fear. But I read somewhere That there may be a price to pay: Loss of Freedom. Think of the USSR, or better still, Yugoslavia. Ruled by rods of iron These counties showed us facades Of calm. But once those dictatorships disappeared then Those underlying differences emerged. The Balkan States were a case in point: When Yugoslavia went All hell broke out! So when I suggested that A benevolent world government Might cure our ills, A warning was shot across my bows: “Be careful what you wish for!” For what good is “Peace” When no one dare speak out Or act in a “different” way? “1984” soon springs to mind: Droves of mindless clones Dumbed down by drugs And Media driven hypnosis. Totalitarianism at its worst. What we really need is an end to violence And every other form of Abuse. Free thought Married with respect and tolerance To our fellow men And women. World Peace only comes free When the people are free too. Freedom of the individual Based on mutual respect And better still On Love. Paul Butters

What Price World Peace?
Speared on the trident tines Of a new world order, Wiggling, dripping, Unable to close eyes Staring out both sides of faces With an astonished, unbelieving pall. Some will be fried with rice, Some eaten raw with ***** Some battered with fries at Disneyland. Out of water, gasping, Coaxed from the shallows With blinding light, Baited from the depths.

T. Ronald Dump Thought he had a jump On all this messy "prezzy" biz Which took us to the precipice Of our national destruction With one skewed election. A **** with bad elocution Is in charge with no solutions. A fool got elected Now we are all unprotected From taking a journey Turning this into **** Germany Because he knows well That in a short spate of hell He will make tons of money And he finds that so funny. Meanwhile we are dying And without any trying He will take a great thing And leave it gasping For that last healthy breath While he watches the death And with one of his ugly sighs Blames it on the other guys. Those of us who are old Needed heeding when told That this was very ugly old news. We saw it happen to the Jews The intellectuals and gays In the not so distant days Of scary World War Two And now it will happen to you. T. VERY OLD NEWS
It makes me angry To see how many people Don’t act like they are good Outside the church and steeple. It’s like someone is keeping book On how often they appear there And saying they love Jesus Is all anyone should care. There is no holiness in pretending, When the sins are never-ending. When the way you choose to walk Is not the way you choose to talk. It’s pretty scary To watch what is happening here When speeches like Goebbells And the Nazis is what we hear. When not speaking the party line And regular people are demonized Walk hand-in-hand with rich dreams And high class crooks are lionized. It’s called hypocrisy. The friend of theocracy For those that feel better But just follow by the letter. The first thing the Nazis did Was take over the popular press Then made the party philosophy A religion and that started the mess. Helping the poor, friending too Was outlawed for those they hate. They were made to look like criminals And unpatriotic outlaws of the state. There is no holiness in pretending, When the sins are never-ending. When the way you choose to walk Is not the way you choose to talk. And all was done under the banner, The blessing of the Christian flag. They murdered every single Jew, Communist and those called *** They created new chants and songs And verses so people could sing along And raise a salute to the elite. And soon there was nobody to defeat. It’s called hypocrisy. The friend of theocracy For those that feel better But just follow by the letter.

Uniform mass of individuals, With aphorisms and symbols they wield, Sharply turning the wheel of history, With different structure, different calamity. Five-headed Dragon that is on the rise, Bringing about its rebirth and demise: Wholesome transformation as its only cause, Ameliorative without a pause. Ideals with violence that it must shield, Enacted throughout its hierarchy, With loyalty as its greatest prize. Grinding everything betwixt its jaws, The thirst of Humanity that it must slake, To effectuate the Perfect State.
