The darkness of the night engulfed me As I wished upon stars To find something to hold. The ocean stretched its peaceful fingers, Calling me towards it’s ups and downs- Similar to my own. Her fingers intertwined with mine as Her deep heart handed me a beautiful oyster In my cold, trembling hand. I kept it by my side for a year: Untouched, unopened Cherishing it from afar In fear. But you can never truly know something Behind a shell. So with urges like Pandora, I opened the chest of the ocean, Expecting it to run back into the ocean Once it recognised who I truly am. But instead I was facing a loving silver pearl, Holding onto the treasure the ocean had given me, Desperately, Until all it felt was warmth and comfort. Its soft surface and Imperfect shape Cures and hugs me as I join the ocean In its ups and downs. Laughing and smiling Because no moment can be as perfect as these. I promise it that If one day the ocean steals my treasure back I will swim through all the sea’s monsters and secrets And hold it again. Forever and always.

Please don’t. I can hear their screams as well. Have faith I share your pain tonight: The mocking and the ridicule. Know that through it all I’m by your side; A crutch for you to lean on. And in your darkest hour don’t be ashamed to use me like a rag. I promise I will take it. I know it’s a soothing thought; Their ignorance knows no bounds. I’m in your arms and you in mine; Darling I’m right in your very soul and mind. Our spirits touch; They mend the bones. Coastal shores are where we’ll walk Together, a home away from home. Bruised as your heels are they’re mine to wash; In me solace you can always find. I promise soon we’ll be made one; The glass is nearly broken. This war all but over; I’m not destined forever to be an incentive. Hold out the siege; I know you’ll complete the mission. Don’t hide your fear; I’m just as lost without my anchor. Each night in romance we’ll hoist the sails; Your shame my joy to wipe away. Babe you’re not alone; Throughout it all you never were. Don’t **** yourself tonight; I’ll never get to be your world.

Please Don't
I never wanted to be a character of your novel but an inked odyssey of your words left unspoken. I never wanted to be the star of your life but your inner star gazing novice. I never wanted to be the light of your life but a glistering ray to hew the gloom you hid within your ***** I never wanted to be a smell of a splendiferous bouquet of flowers but a soothing petrichor. I never wanted to be the drizzle of ephermal joy but a downpour of eternal bliss. I never believed in any space but being the aura of one another. In a world so materialistic I believed in nothing but something very realistic for which, I afflict no more!

All that I wanted was...
Because Smiles are reserved for days that are not you And Hence I will wear My head Like leaves on a fence Yet If your wish I will close myself like a poem unfinished I Proclaim myself The lines unwritten Thought unwilling Love unrequited Bleed !
