I hate you a lot, as in
periodically rather than
continuously because you keep me up
at night.
Either in my thoughts or on my
phone you seem to be present near
enough all the time and it sickens
me to say this but when you say
that I love you, you're probably
right.

I have these thoughts occasionally
as I lie in bed,
going over every syllable that you
said because sometimes I read
signals that aren't even there.
After remembrance, is
interrogation and I am no stranger
to what this entails.
Question after question which can be
summed up into one,
"Why do I love him to the point where I lose my tongue?"
