pretty poetic
how everything
that has lived
and is living
is all made
of one cell

it has developed and grown
in all kinds of ways

it built branches and leaves

the big tree of life

humans are just a leaf to the five

you and me
are just a cell to the leaf
but never have I seen
a leaf survive
without
its coat
small
as a
boat

you do matter
we let it float

a tree is nothing
without its growth

I wonder when autumn is coming

when the leaves will fall

when the tree still rises
above it all

and sometimes it feels
like the mitochondria
are stuck
the fire it spreads
the oxygen it feeds

maybe the tree is sick
giving it the ick
