#summer
Before long the summer sun will rise in London Like the half of the Ge meets the other half. Like a magic by the Lamp of Aladdin The love flame hidden in the chest lights up! Like a blooming rose in a glowing beam of light, Like a smiling face speaks a gentle word, Like a beautiful sunrise colour in the first light! The summer in London will pop and sizzle We will see a threshold in our land. The rose for a while is tucked away Off the winter and is given to the sun Winter is not forever spring is on the corner Come back in the sun with the early bird Before Cinderella takes on the primrose path. Keeping an eye on a thriller is in the winter’s field Oozy ozone misty land gets a gingerly seasoning What on earth will it strike, will it dish out? Ah, the sun will pop out like a river breeze. Like a southern song singing on a dream scene. a smooth fairy dance facing the Moon a thrill of exposing Stonehenge once and for all a melodious raindrop in the serene pond a butterfly dance on the rose a turned on tall tale of the blue peacock Like a pure belief in heaven without a pinch of salt!

Summer in London
A night owl in the harvest moon was awake till the crack of the dawn but wasn’t surfing online, wasn’t rowing the boat in the digital river. Deep down to a dreamweaving scene that was, in musing, painstakingly creative. Wait till you snap up a witty aphorism. The darling buds of May will be in bloom. The tickled pink nightingale too will give out its voice, singing a song. Save a copy and tweet it to all, but do give us a demo, tell us a bit more. Where does it shine and sizzle? Where did the winter tuck away the rose?

Summer crush
The sun is with the paintbrush ambling down the river blue. See, your eyes are the mirror in between the earth and sky duo. Bask in the open air theatre eye on spread out with colour. Indulge in, with a slice of summer you got the brightest star, the light on your canvas, you got the clue. Now draw your way through art yours in between the two!

Light The Summer
summer nights fairy lights women rights skinny tights we ended up with lovers' fights plain as day you took away a sunshine ray left me with no words to say feelings fade a girl's parade to hold her head high and hide the mess you made

summer love
Late afternoon, haze hung low, heat and sky holding breath. You’re it. No tag-backs. Asphalt freckles our knees. Dinner is anytime: bologna on white; Kool-Aid cut thin with tap. No hurry home unless for the news. We don’t. We want what’s coming, not what’s been. Paper fortune tellers flutter open, close. She writes the answers first, back turned. Lift one flap: your dog dies. Another: a prince charming. Another: best party in town, limousine awaits. He lifts a flap: her name. actually meant for you, her sister whispers. Then rain, the blue-lined paper sags, ink settles in cracks, bare feet scatter, futures wash mid-fold into a storm drain. At Cheshire and Green Meadows, a drunk witch swears Venus and Jupiter will make us all rich. She leaves out how long the sky makes you wait. Lunch money turns to lottery slips. Rounding the corner, moving vans idle over chalked hopscotch, our names folded under.

Paper Fortunes
I saw you in winter, and thought of tree branches feathered by starlight in poorly lit neighborhoods. A hearth where the more honest parts of myself, I am bared fetal, warmed upon, welcomed. I saw you in spring, and thought of long drives in the countryside in the rain. Ice cream melting from our chins dancing petrichor upon our toes, kissing by the sea shore. I saw you in summer, and thought of sleepy boathouses, uncovering ancient childhood treasures in the woods. A secret lake somewhere, the sky's reflection in promise. Windy hilltops upon which to blame each other for the sunrise. I saw you in autumn, and thought of scarfs and cafes, city streets and sunsets where we watched each others breath escape. Apartment staircases where windchill hibernates, the world slowing down around us from your window. The first time I saw You, I thought to myself, "I could live there."

I saw you in seasons...
Thick, warm, fuzzy air Radiates against your skin, making you want to doze off You sit on the front of a low red car that looks another era, leaning on the glossy hood. I want to put your lips on mine The world feels yellow, and orange. It's as if clear smoke has filled the air My eyes are dimmed through thick sunglasses, my body absorbing the warmth through jeans and a small black shirt I'm in a lucid daze Looking at you through a curtain of leather black hair, not bothered to move it from my face. Your eyes the crisp refreshing blue in a world tinted amber Like a fresh spray of water on my back After hours of sunbathing We sit there We say nothing We take in the sun    We don't need anything else

The middle of a hazy summer
Naughty words. Big, bad, naughty words. They feel like ice, please give me summer. To feel the warmth of your embrace...

Naughty words
When we're together the world Is spinning through jello the leaves on trees are hazy bits of confetti in the wind. The silence between us is thick.. and soothing as we glide along the summer pavement. His scent fills my lungs like a sedative... His scent..it makes me feel like I'm in love again... Like I could love again.

Mr. Marijuana
I came upon a dandelion   An ordinary, common **** Most people don't look twice Unless it infected their gardens. Then it is uprooted, stem and head. Thrown away and then forgotten. But that **** meant something different to me It was sunshine and laughter Bouquets made of thistle and lavender Bunched together and given to my mother It was rolled up jeans That perfect summer breeze Cuts and bruises on my knees It was my childhood Memories that I can't quite grasp But what I can remember is the bright yellow, Stark against the grass

The ****
The distant hollow of the high mountain pass swallows the setting sun as it steals away southbound behind the coastal mountain's tangerine sunset hued silhouettes Mulberry plashed shadows pointing northward across the evergreens outstretched dimming, beneath the waning fade of each fleeting eventide Sundown ebbing asunder the wafting daylight, each gloaming of the day, helplessly a moment sooner past, transfixed further south beyond yesterday's passing azure The lazy days of summer escape unbounded, nomadic as the sea I've seen sail away before; evanescent as the beauty of the bloom summer days beheld and the memory of the fragrance they exhale The nebulous weight of the gravity is consciously denied by the truths a human heart beholds A moment’s epiphany afflicts like a rogue wave in a calm sea; the only thing my heart ever wanted remains out of reach Everything my heart needs consciously surrendering to the poignant passing moment's beauty, the falling sun at distance sets more suddenly now Lost in the undeniable certainty life's imminent season's change Eyes drawn stubbornly from presence to a sky so far away, knowing there'll be no restitution for the welling sense of loss... A bitter sweet song mummers in the silence of the absorbing spell, summer's sun stained pages of watermarked soul scribbles, time tattooed reparation for the indelible ache of a harsh grey winter loneliness Perhaps too familiar, this whelming Déjà vu that tears my soul;     that tugs at these roots but cannot sever their sacred grasp But for now, eyes fixed to the sun's inevitable tightening tether hence — to wear weary each fraying thread's  impending break Each sunset leans a deeper angle southward as it slips down through the firwood shadows; illuminating other faraway latitudes far beyond the distant horizon skies The preordained continuum unfolding what will be ... someone you used to know ... Each Sunset Leans Farther Southward

like that pill bitter Sunday morning (after) with a nauseating hack the previously uneventful Tuesday derailed in surrealistic tale with Auntie and Jack (and a quarter of fate) in the 748 on a night flight from Sherwood to Lore reverberating waves of imminent summer haze river flats and flower fields fly weights and silver bait shredders and shysters and open gates (into those everlasting and sweated journeys of hope) bloods and strays and florentine grays (reminiscent of Rockwell fame) running horses and overgrown country lanes morning grace and gentle cheer eyes clear on the river pass *blunted paddles for those ancient and not so willing suckers!* duke making his own way (to the corner club) Parsons and Poe stream from the torn screen door cricket cadence and symphony of the Deere calm and deliberate in the soft and silent fields meadows open for grazing (guineas scamper across the till) pocket apples fill the country ripe air drunken bees and chestnuts and electric fingers strike the surface pool (a cedar strip wedged on the white wash dock) baited bull heads set to cast evenings with hearts and Nolten Nash may flowers bloom across the grass ~ time unmatched ~ with blue jays and river bends and channel cats ...and that warm and recurring Coleman drift

first kiss
Tonight you're sitting amongst my thoughts as a Daisy But first, you have yet to be plucked from the field The field of an unspoken language But let this moment last, as if tomorrow is the day you will be plucked And the day you will be plucked it will be the cause of my hand But as of right now, let the wind take you where you need to go Sweet Daisy

Daisy
*As our dew points match, lead me out into the open moonlight Then take my hand and come with me to share this glorious night Sin smiling Angels look down on us in the night's cocoon Safely sheltered beneath his broad shoulders our bodies completely attune Her pale skin denied The moonbeams as I eclipses them above her Shivering to the cadence of the night with the moonlight as a ****** The cool night air hasn't chilled her warm summer lips The stars reflected in our eyes, each shimmering thoughts a kiss Ethereal night mist rises from our slowly moving bodies His warmth tastes of golden light, dancing to simple melodies Shimmering in dusk's glow the rapture subsides in a glistening shudder Splendorous waves of euphoric flood, as we complete each other as lovers*

Beach Haiku
During summer is when my head fogs up even more, its when I begin to lose control. This happens each summer and it always ends the same way. ‘Hurry up’ I thought, ‘Take me away’.

Summertime Sadness
apricots and cigarette smoke: your smile is infectious. heat leaking through the little slit in the window: melt like cool frosters on a hot summer day - melt into me lets become solvent in this little car; (I wouldn't mind.) combine together, like our parents and parents before them. molecular; everything, anything - we are science. I am not afraid, it is you who takes the air from my gasping lungs; - look! at his beauty; divine. © A. Leigh

Chemistry
sunkissed skin and vibrant skies, warm season has always been the same but when i met those summer dazed eyes, i knew that trouble just came he had lips that kissed wetter than the ocean he had arms like waves that swallowed me he filled my summer with sweet temptations a garden of flowers blooming within me but just like how summer came to an end, he left and autumn arrived with tears to shed like how flowers no one comes to see they slowly wilted in quiet misery that summer was more than fifty shades of love turned into an endless waves of bitter memories just wishing upon the tangerine sky above that tides will bring him back to me

lust
Like I loved coffee, that's how I loved you. Like the first cigarette of the day. Or like a Beatles song blasted on the radio during a road trip to nowhere in particular. Like each slice of coffee cake, cinnamon and pecans delicately, deliciously curled into every little streusel. Like spring, when the snow melts into water and runs, rushes past yellow-colored, polka-dotted rain boots on a sun-soaked afternoon. I loved you like I love you; simply, completely, without frills and without doubt.

Love Letter
It's three am. You want the arms of a man you've never met, It only takes a bit, Nibbles on the neck, Only takes a little lip, To get a little wet. Beach day soon, Summer comes as soon as you do.
