#storage
Its Sunday Sun dazed today as I made my way behind salty slanted glass & cold steering wheel into a cinder block storage unit i've leased a year has passed, slipped IDK, maybe lost or stolen Hiding in the back of a 15' x 28' a secret office I constructed, concocted A fantasy fort for a grown man away from the worrisome world filled with mature career minded folk Surrounded by odds and ends liquidation sale items flood & pool across 1000sq ft of shelving I built 18' floor to roof Shelves uniquely spaced to accommodate packages of various dimensions Catwalk on the second level, drawbridge permanently down Occasionally I make my way to the gate that separates me from the rest Opening the door, slipping past Handing them an object they desire for reasons I do not know We share a moment, eyes dance back and forth I retreat to my hidden fort No one ever knows What exists Behind a rollup metal door

Units Of Storage
The ledge, The ledge, The ledge. Holding bottles, bodies and blood. Covered in clutter and cute. The ledge, the ledge. Then the pangs rang out. Bottles and bodies dropping to the floor. Screams made only from pain and pleasure. The euphoria of freedom paired with the pain of escape. To fall, To flee from The Ledge.

The Ledge
dismember                           the smell of the books you hide                 roughed into basement boxes amongst the most casual of junk the most bare note book gifted and thrifted and costumed   your little girl words tea stain wounded                      marooned and mould afflicted dismember the words you mooned after near hearts                and the great white unrequited the fluting of ****** fuel    the fumes of their history badly stored  and water damaged clumped 'mongst uni flyers and old never paid bills

Storage / Memory
~ not a fan of reality TV, plenty of "unreal" episodes of my own direction stored, available for further review in the storage units of neuronic black and white prison brain cells which is why I have free~will chosen to enumerate my poem~videos; for easy retreat retrieval resurrection of the travelogue of mind own insurrections *a garage of mobility devices, car, rollerblades, cross country skis plus, a potpourri of escape methodologies that by definition are all round trippers, returned to their storage unit after use and I count them Noah~like, two by two, as they come on board, and when they disembark for days of rest and recreation* this one, #4, is born among headstones, just anther memory storage unit specialized, flag decorated, but different This is a one-way, no return, unit but it can be viewed at anytime by those who care to be users, by speaking this: *Read to me poem number four, on a day we celebrate, about free men of every color and persuasion, who are calling out to open the door to storage unit four, so we to can perform our once-a-year Tour of Duty to the those who called, and answered with limb and love, for by their glory, we are free too* to remember in any way we choose ~

Fourth Poem: Storage Wars, Why One Numbers Poems on Memorial Day
Proteins oh Proteins, How much you do for us! You are our support The framework keeping us up The bones under our skin You are the mad scientist encouraging chemical reactions within us Enzymes, catalyzing reactions You are our traffic regulators Signaling how much, Hormones Like insulin regulating glucose in the blood You are the detectives within us Figuring out what it bad Then flagging it for destruction You are our truck drivers Shuttling materials to and fro Hemoglobin, carrying oxygen from the lungs You are our storage Our shelves packed to the brim with materials Like ferritin storing iron in our bodies There is so much you do That is key to our survival ... However shall I remember all you do for my test tomorrow?

I deal with my problems by forcing them into small boxes for easy storage.
