The stalactite was a lonely little thing, with a drip drip drip it would sing. Feeling itself, slowly growing downwards, longing for union, but never knowing, if seed was sowing. The stalagmite was a lonely little thing, with a splash splash splash it would sing. Feeling itself, slowly growing upwards, longing for union, but never knowing, just keeping faith In growing. Song - Inxs, Two world's colliding.

It could take thousands of years
Untold stories, her thoughts are prose Buried in the caverns of her mind In the darkness there is growth Yet only in the light its beauty shows.

Stalagmite
When I fell into your cave, Your stalagmites pierced me; I became impossible to save, The rock much too deep. The sun did not shine there, People did not see me hurt. They did not see the blood, How the rock made it spurt. Some tried to pull me out, But they all failed upon trying. My strangled cry became a death shout, For I was slowly dying. My body, pulled from the deep cave, Remained lifeless in your arms; I had never been saved, And I met the face of harm. I was too far gone, I could not return; I did not see dawn, Death I had earned.

Death I Had Earned
I have this creeping ache on the edges of my bones like the way crystal forms, slowly. Like the way prehistoric bugs that live in caves die every day. I think I forgot to close my eyes and woke up blind. I live my days hoping to grow inwards until my bones start the delicate tearing of my skin and water fills my lungs. I have longed for this to happen ever since i was 7 and I heard drowning was the closest you can get to euphoria.
