We are reaching out and claiming parts. Bit by bit we are grasping it. Dividing the treasure. But the, problem? Is that the "treasure." Is cursed. And we are perfectly aware of the burden it holds. Yet this curse is the reason we want the treasure. The reason we need the treasure. It provides a wonderful emotion. Love. Familiar love that makes you warm and proud. Proud to carry the curse. And it carries another curse. Sadness. Longing. And worst of all. Happy memories. That can never be made again. So maybe it is a burden. To claim and share the treasure. But together our family can share the curse burden as one.

long division
As I look back through messages I am shocked at how cold you were Then you seemed warm and perfect My optimistic mind so sure Now truth is clearer than glass The reason you sent compliments Was because you felt guilty, hiding A flood of flaws under false confidence The instant attraction was undeniable We have chemistry, my grave mistake Believing I needed you to be whole Now I see I am not a half, without you I won't break The butterflies felt were real As were fireworks when we would touch Everything else I'm sorting through I cannot figure out as much

Sorting Through Memories
Wanna sit on beach somewhere Cold drink, without a care Not a thought in my mind About stress or self doubt Just alone with some time Enough to clear my head out Gotta sort through the mess Sort the trash from the treasure
