I lift my head to watch the sky
And the world around me fades to black.
Everytime I’ve tried to settle down
I’ve gotten away but there’s no going back.
You are so close and yet so far away,
The time we had is going to decay.
But all I want is to go back to the day
It all began.
Feelings I enjoyed have gone to waste,
To make space for something better.
Moments I enjoyed have gone to waste,
They get to play somewhere better.
