From the painter
To the painted.
The colours are lined up, but only leave stains on the side.
You, the prisoner.
You, the warden.
Praying on 'almost' is keeping us unified.
Soaked to the skin as your pride hits the ground,
Shaking your shoulders with every sound.
But it's only courage calling,
And every nerve wants me to run out of its arms.
How many long years
Holding onto your senses?
And hooked on the stories from windows against copper skies.
Kick the cup of hatred
Into the corner,
For in the soft light, I can see hope in your eyes.
And under the dust there are chords from before,
And under my fingers the melody's raw.
It's courage that keeps calling,
And every nerve wants me to run into your arms.

Why would you bother?
Why would you cut so low?
Expressions fracture,
The breaths arpeggio.
All for your nothing...
Your heavy fall shapes my everything.
What's the attraction?
Your tricky undertow's
A cruel distraction
From rocking too and fro.
And when the dreams come
You must stumble, tumble from yellow skies.
Sky shuddered and the world came down,
And I'm still here.
Speak to the child,
And hold him in your arms,
Be reconciled.
And as forgiveness calms
Your weary wary,
You will float, float from yellow skies.

Walk the hill, reach the top
Lead horizon, see it drop
Scale the mountain, taste the sky
Clouds are sour, stinging your eyes
And all thats clear in my mind
The house thats built from sticks and glue
Was never meant for the likes of you
I could never ignore
How you knocked down the door
On a saltwater floor, faces turn blue
I don't know what to do
Soft and warm, wrapped in despair
If I'm void of concerns, then for what do I care
Paint the walls white, a thousand layers
No memories to bite, and silence my prayers
And all thats clear in my mind
The house thats built from sticks and glue
Was never meant for the likes of you
I could never ignore
How you knocked down the door
On a saltwater floor, faces turn blue
I don't know what to do

I'm ghost walking, you got nothing on me
Free roaming, life so care free
Blessed be, precious me, blessed be
Shed my soul, been gone for weeks
So much space, finally now I can breath
Blessed be, precious me, blessed be
I dare you all, see what happens when you try
Come on and climb, get past this wall
If you've no fear of heights, we'll be just fine
I'm the comic now, it's in the delivery
But the truth be told, it's all honesty
The air so clean, if I could just help myself
So refreshing to breath
Blessed be

Now you're gone
You're around me
Even more
You surround me
Always here, so close now
Disappear, I don't care how
Call it a dream, a fantasy scene
Falling, remembering
Don't you know, that you hold me
Something grows and I hold you
Accountable for cherished turmoil
Something undone, disturbing soil
Call it a dream, a fantasy scene
Falling, remembering
Calling me

A flickering sign appeared
In the shape of a jagged boy,
Who raised his arms high and said,
"Rain will fall.
Rain will fall."
And we'll be free.
Danced in the dust 'til night came.
Clouds chalked and choked our feet,
Until we swallowed the dying sun...
Sets in me.
Sets in me.
And we were free.

Be the dawn,
The eyes of the birds,
Be their morning hymns.
And from the aspen,
Purest gold,
Give the breeze your wings.

Let me be water,
And feel with flowing arms,
Seeking the corners
And falling, falling.
And evermore I'll float,
There I will linger,
There I'll find stillness.
I'll only keep moments
And a calm heart.
No one could hold me down;
Slip through a tangled hand.
And I will sing their songs:
The voice of the coral,
The melody of the sands.
Be.
Beautifully dawning.
The words of a dreamer,
The messenger of the sea.

You are all angles:
You leave the door open,
Steal every horizon,
Break every bend.
So be the thief,
Be the angel.
Listen,
Listen.
Keep one eye open:
The armies on your sleeve,
For just a little time,
Are standing by me,
And daring,
Daring.
Listen,
Listen.
We face the choirs
Of innocent liars.
All the cobbled words
Turn to dust.
But we see them,
We see them
Floating carelessly,
Playing with fire.

We'll meet landscapes golden,
Gently folding round,
Halving,
Hiding lifetimes.
Draw the wheat around.
Sing me to sleep...
Sunlight,
Through green and blue,
Haloed round you.
"Here, the divine."
Whisper into fire
Gently,
Burning sound -
Silence.
All the words jealous under my tongue,
Craving sleep.
Drifting
Through green and blue,
I find you.
"Here, the divine."

She stood beneath the breaking sky
And held every cloud in her hand.
Sang each a lullaby
And laid them to rest in the sand.
But tide waits for no one.
Tide waits for no one.
All the same, day after day,
The prowlers who preach to the sun,
Keeping some lonely at bay
And blind to all that they've done.
Tide waits for no one.
Tide waits for no one.
Clouds rise round the devil,
As he sits by the deep blue sea.
Cries as the waves lap his feet,
And each tear belongs to me.
Tide waits for no one.
Tide waits for no one.

The day within left lightning on your skin,
Did you cross the salt line?
Did you let the promise in?
Booms and bells,
And hand in hand to carousels.
And you made do with silence.
It's all you know, Little Indigo.
Time, take it gently.
Be still, unwind, the stars have intertwined,
And they carry all the echoes the well-wishers declined.
The glare, fanfare, and dances through the midnight air,
And you made do with silence.
Just let it show, Little Indigo,
And take it gently.
