Let us not moan for the dead For we don’t feel their pains For this is not their first hurting, Or the last one for that matter, As it will happen again We just shed drop of tears That won’t even touch the soil, And we move into another day When the fire, that is burning Us down, is sitting at bay Aflame and still If we don’t ripple the ocean And put out the fire at once Its flame will ignite again And will burn the whole town twice When the fire was engulfing And making my neighbors cry I myself was a coward For I looked away and passed by So I won’t cry for the dead Not one tear drop again If I’m not putting the fire out now It will sure kindle again For my tears won’t solace their pains @jobiranyc (10/10/2017)
