At the break of dawn the wind drops, the rowers rise -- for a sea shanty.

[ At the break of dawn ]
Gael force set upon the waves Aboard five daring souls, To sail throughout the western isles On fair winds, their only goals But out to sea, just three days hence They would all be left in awe For waiting for Gael Force and the five Lay the tempests violent and steely maw From Mallaig did the five set out Both spirits and hopes were high “We’ll poke our nose oot” the skipper did cry “At least we will give it a try” The motor on and sails were down they headed out to sea Not knowing what lay just ahead, oblivious as can be Though sea's were rough and waves were high and spray washed over the five They motored on through growing swells not able to come about, through fear for their lives. The course was set, no turning back The five did engage in battle Though fear was seen in all their eyes their determination could not be rattled. The tempest had only just begun to test the daring five A squall it began to spew up, with winds as cold as knives "Starboard Bow" the second mate cried, and all looked right to see A dark grey broiling mass, a towering foaming wall of sea. The helmsman turned into the wave, as Gael Force climbed and climbed and crashing down the other side with a booming sound like thunder wishing and hoping that Gael Force's bow, would not completely go under. Squall upon squall lashed Gael force, with power and steal and fury Skipper shouted out below," Its blowing a ****** Hooley" Hour upon hour the tempest tried to drown the daring five Throwing squalls and hail and towering seas, The crew worked, just to stay alive. Ardnamurchan point did beckon, As towering seas grew higher "Another 5 degrees starboard" navigator called "this is how I reckon" bodies began to tire. A  lighthouse appeared  igniting hope as white horses rode the waves thunderously crashing over the bow to the sea Gael force was a slave Darkness began to fall with no release for the five rounding Ardnamurchan point they sailed for their souls they now did strive. Tossed to starboard and then to port the sailors were worn and battered surely the end was nigh they were all so ****** knackered! With bodies sore and whit's at an end the sea gave up its fight. Gael Force and its daring souls neared the end of their plight. Tobamory bound and surfing the swell the crewmates welcomed the night. The last rope was tied, Gael Force secure The crewmates went below. Hugs and hand shakes, cups of tea and stories told again of how Gael Force and its daring five braved the storm and lived to sail again. The tale of Gael Force and the daring Five

the currency is war - the debt is *** it’s time to repay the tax from the glory days. conspiracy is free - among the men at sea, they await to join Yankees that are drunken on the shore. ad-ease! calm your sails - the wind startles lads, that jump at first sound of freedom. she sounds like a fantasy - sung within our shanties , wearing silk and cotton undergarments. liberty is precious - like a rose you must cherish, for our neighbors are caught with stone setting fire to our garden...

ol’men to new shores
The wayward boys of the forever sun Waking away the horizon Their passions defined through rosemary plums They formed in the swallow lagoon They ventured wide, they ventured tall Smothered by Eden’s visions Over the mountains, a nomad conch called Of salvation coming soon Far away, far away Is the ship passing by Far away, far away Goes the dreams of youthful sighs Far away The skyward beasts in the splintered minds Bumping the night ever slowly Fantasy left the human behind And rain shattered the sea The spectacle of the suburban youth Never fulfilled quite wholly When what’s found in rocks may trouble the truth Then paper is burnt out to flee Far away, far away Is the grip of society Far away, far away Are the visions of marmalade trees Gone away Schism would rise and drinks would fly Under the closed constellations It is no strain to desensitize A dreamlust, starving nation But wash it away in brevity’s breath And visages painted in peels Their illusions linger for cerebral death They hid behind wooden steel Run away, run away For the painting is stripped bare Run away, run way There is fire yelling in the air Run away The sun has become irradiant green And planes lumber through the sky Hollow hands softened the screen The sand bleeds, the sirens are shy The forlorn kids of the Turquoise Lagoon Have given up more than life When the head of bliss begins to croon Entropy will yell “good luck” Far away, far away Are the hands severed in the ground Far away, far away Lies a shell and its sound

Board sign. Black paint. Wind over the barren waste. Dust storm. Gut wound. Three, two, one, toward my doom. Population 41. When it's over and done, done, I have another number I've assigned to Him, and by my ******* blood, He's going to get His. Population 41. Does this shanty even have a doctor? High five the sign as I pass it, with a ****** palm print. Welcome, 42.

Welcome To Festus | One
Not a soul stopped Jim from roam’in                       the wild wild sea While the foams o’er him were roll’in                       and down went he Into the depth of the water;                       he cried in vain. Mermaids crowned him in wonder;                       he woke not again. With eyes closed, his lips half smil’in –                      down down went he And friends’ calls were not far reach’in                      into the sea While dreamt he of gardens pretty –                      far, far from real Which were dreamt ne’er by you nor me -;                      he’s dreaming still.

Beyond our Horizon
( Sea Chanty ) When I was a youth, I spied a bird, She filled my field with song, And sadly it was, my duties began But we made a vow singin,' Together again!     And a way'l we go, as I hurry the sea and—     She waits the land. My true love I call a nightingale, And I myself a lark, Together we make, two turtledoves, And we made a vow singin,' Together again!     And a way'l we go, as I hurry the sea and—     She waits the land.     *O come will the day, that my true will say,     When all my sporting is over,     'Do you remember the days, I waited the land,     And you hurried the sea?* Now, the sea is my girl and I her man, I hear a lovers' lament, An old seabird cries from the brighty main, And I join with him singin,' Together again!     *O come will the day, that my true will say,     'My heart, you've been the world over!'     But until I rest free, I must hurry the sea and     She waits the land.*
