#sailboat
Is it a person or a place, A thing whose soul I can never know? A warrior howls with the wind in the trackless wild. Or a peerie lad running through sand on St. Ninian's ayre? A maid swimming in an unreachable isle or the luffing of sails in the harbour at night. An expanse of heath with a bird above. A person or place That I'll always love

Shetland
Love is like a sailboat when the tides are high and rough, in the midst of storm We throw off the bowlines, surrender the helm to the winds and choose to adrift - into the unknown

Love is like a Sailboat
I am not a sailor. I desire to run. Confine me not to a puddle dependent on the wind. Direct me to the forest, the hills, and I will create my own draft, as I speed across the ground, flying over earth to distances greater than the confines of your wet berth. No, I relish a solid state of matter beneath my feet. I am a fire sign. Warning: do not get wet.

Fire sign
'Twas all so beautiful a sight, A long summers night; The sacred stars were burning bright about our mother moon. The wind filled the sails above the waves, that sped us through the sailors tales, and brought us to a deep lagoon. We cast our nets out far and wide, then watched them sink below the tide, which rattled out a tune for me and you. We hauled aboard the silver fish, to fill our bellies and our fists, then set off home with seagulls squawking tunes. The wooden boat now tied about the quay, its tattered sail and rusty cleat, gently tug and tug the rope upon the swell. come to sea! You know me well!!

The little wooden boat
A sail boat is docked beside the pier The lapping water is all I hear I feel the breeze upon my face I dream of blue skies and open space To sail the sea without a care No time for worries, just time to spare A thought of new adventures crosses my mind Of all the treasures that I will find I'll gather stories from far and near That I'll retell year after year At night the moon will shine above And I'll remember those whom I love A little sadness enters my heart as from this dream I must depart I turn away with a slight smile At least I was free for just a while

Sailing
I am lost at sea. I am a traveler on a sailboat with not even a single hint of where i am headed. The wind gushes and i trust it for wherever it takes me. There is no map. There is no star nor sun to guide my path. I have lost my compass years ago; But somehow even if the wind can’t speak, I close my eyes from time to time and try to feel it, Whispering and hoping that it would eventually lead me to my true north which is you.

Lost Traveler
Being ancient but perky I am not here for you to bond my strength, to lock me like a djinn into a bottle for making a wish as and when you wish but to guide your sailboat through wild, choppy waters, just to play with your hair, to cool the fever and kiss the tearful face of yours.

Wind
Sometimes I sit here, Wanting to cry. But I can't. And sometimes, I sit here, And the tears sneak up on me from out of nowhere. And there's no way that I, A small paper sailboat, floating aimlessly in my own sorrow, Can survive the force of the typhoon coming from my eyes.

Storm Damage
*I fell asleep as a wave crashed, Water from the sea of glass nipped My toes. When I woke, the world Seemed strange; The same yet Smaller. Perhaps as a note in A bottle; words written by small Hands and sent off with wish Of such grand adventures.*

Imaginary Sailboat
rain drops on green plant leaves cloudy grey skies thunder  and lightning all happening around you while you sleep under your pillow fort sun shining through trees that are high above you and me a bee buzzing around looking for nectar in flowers of pinks and purples a small sail boat drifting away in the deep blue sea fishes swim by unaware of the humans above on dry land silent walks alone in the woods just you, me, and nature birds soar and  land in a nest feeding it's young holding your hand kissing your lips hugging your torso smiling and laughing together and maybe some other things too life can go by quickly so take time to admire those whom you love sights that make you want to explore and just experience things you haven't before

simple things of life
Sailboat on a purple sea Yellow skies are all she sees Lonely Captain at the helm Lord o’er all her ocean realm. Sailboat on a purple sea Sailing through Eternity The yellow skies reveal her ardor Searching for inlet or harbor. Where she can safely drop her anchor Without hostility or rancor Stay forever, or a day If on a whim she sails away. To search again for other shores Unmindful of the ocean’s mores. Sometimes storms impede her course Fill her journey with remorse Thunder sounds a deaf’ning roar Through driving rain, can’t see the shore Lightning bolts around her flash As if to call the Captain brash For thinking that she has control Over purple ocean’s vitriol. If ever she regrets her plight When yellow skies turn dark at night And midnight storms have lead to loss She rights the ship and bears the cross And waits for morning dawn to break Sun through last night’s rain will make A rainbow reaching far away Certainly it will show the way To steer her sailboat that day. Sailboat on a purple sea Yellow skies are all she sees Buoyant Captain at the helm Lord o’er all her ocean realm. PwL 04/21/15

Sailboat on a Purple Sea

My sailboat سفينتي الشراعية
If I could send a message in a bottle Of every thought I’ve ever thought of you It’d take a million years for you to read it I bet I’d leave you speechless Because I know that you’ve never doubted Any love that’s true If I could sail the ocean on a sailboat I’d search around the world for you, my dear I would even stop for a moment Because you’re my one and only And nothing would mean more to me Than having you right here I have this funny feeling that you’re waiting Praying every night I’ll come around Take you in my arms and give you comfort Even though I was hurt Because you took my heart into the air And then dropped it to the ground I wish that I would find you on an island With nothing of your own but a cigarette All alone and talking to no one I will be your someone Because I loved you at the darkest times Just like the day we met
