The Man for America
My face is marred by dust and sweat and blood- I strive valiantly, but I still err. I oft fail, but my intentions are good. Until I die, I will never not care; Choose your place to stand, I’ll always be there, And I won’t quit until I hear the bell! **** peace, it is better to die and dare Than to just coast and float atop the swell. They say that Icarus laughed as he fell; For he knew to fall means to once have flown. And as he plummeted down into hell, Lucifer smiled, for his life was his own. Reader! Dare greatly, plant firmly your feet; Fly, soar beyond those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.

The Man in the Arena
Drive away from here, there's another world, Outside the bubble of the star killing light, Lit instead by the milky way's night. Skyscrapers covered in snow, Windows covered by forests in alpine low, Suburbs of wildflowers by dew softly pearled.

Thoughts from Roosevelt
Depression: a problem the nation has faced, Not mentally, but Within the economic structure. The new President promised: -relief for the needy      +FDIC- insured bank deposits      +FERA- gave money to the unemployed -economic recovery      +SEC- regulated the stock market and restricted margin buying -financial reform      +CCC- created jobs for unemployed men by restoring and conserving the environment      +NYC- provided part time employment to many college and high school students And that was only the beginning.
