the picture of her on your lips
makes me cringe
the more the thought sticks,
the more i feel sick
it was so long ago
though it’s got a harsh grip
on me, so
i couldn’t keep this feeling
pent up inside
the vision of
her glittering eyes
in yours
and not the deep recesses
of mine
