#rejoice
Morning winds, freezing hue
I walked the road, shivering through
A blissful kiss from the sunlight,
A sudden bloom of warmth and light.
Months ago, I saw her—
A simple dress and petite rapture
Snow-pale skin and a warm smile,
A presence shaped by softer miles.
Today that smile found me again,
Lifting my soul from winter's bane.
Months ago, I heard her voice.
And as they greet me—my ears rejoice.

This is the day that the Lord has made, so I will be glad and rejoice in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made, so I will be glad and rejoice in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made so I will be and and rejoice in it.

Oh, my soul, rejoice and be joyful in your King
For He is good and has created everything
Oh, my soul, take flight and soar above the clouds
In the air that fills your wings, let go of any doubts
Rejoice in the one who made you and calls you his own
He has found favor with you and made his home
Oh, my soul, be still and quiet and free
It is in those places that you will find your God to be
Reach up to Heaven, ascend to Him on high
Be at peace with the glorious divine sigh
But he who sits on the throne is also very near
And, as I sit, one thing seems quite clear:
Rejoice, my soul, in every time and every place
Because everywhere you look is the Lord's face
He loved you so much he died to show
That his love is real and not just a show
He died so you could be set free
By his Hands and Feet, nailed sin to a tree
Rejoice, my soul, for your God is risen
To break you out of spiritual prison
Rejoice, my soul, for healing in pain
Life in death, and loss in gain
Sing with one clear voice
Oh, my soul, rejoice

Rejoice and be glad for you have been set free
A Holy Nation, a Fruitful People you will be
You were once long in exile and shame
For you turned against God and His Sacred Name
You were a people lost in great darkness
A creation of your own desire and wickedness
But rejoice for your light has come
Bright shining like the sun
He will raise you up again a mighty nation
Your God has chosen you from all creation
Freedom for prisoners, strength for the weak
Justice for the oppressed, life for those who seek
Give thanks and praise to the God who saves
Sing to Him a new song born of a grateful heart
Live your lives in the light of Christ so others imitate
Your example and may also enter the narrow gate
Rejoice; for today, salvation has come
Now go and share it with everyone!

meeting you was serendipity
it's practical to move on
live my life
focus on the task at hand
yet my soul yearns for you
and you embody me
like you and I are the same being
a search has come to an end
our souls rejoice
while the bodies sleep in cold beds
I do not understand the loss
of you (or me), dear stranger
So I simply write about
how my soul yearns for you
and how painful it must be
for you to not know the language
of our souls (of love)

A man with a hundred faces but nameless with one voice
A thousand thoughts a second but one life to live it, where's the choice
Never found much of a reason to rejoice
Worthless or not worth it, the math's not adding up on this invoice
A million phrases, can't remember faces
Thoughts escape the mind, breaking free of their cages
The visual is heinous, it feels dangerous
I can't explain what's going on but they tell me this is only the beginning stages
Time turns pages but they're all reflective, hold them to the flame, more failure through the ages
Dr Jekyll lost, tossed into the void, annoyed as Mr. Hyde rages
Whatever it is, for everyone else's sake, I hope it's not contagious
Stay cautious

Drinks, drinks and more drinks down my throat
To feel some sort of nausea like I’ve been rocking on a boat
Just for the moment of absolute alcoholic rejoice
To dance, jump and yell out every bit of your voice
To be like some sort of euphoric paradise
The pain of it faded away is for later to realize

Well, did you know that your eyes are mighty beacons?
Great flickering flames of an artist's soul?
Did you know that when I saw you first I felt you, wildly?
Felt a gentle steward of poems among us, a river voice renews.
One utterance from you has me above my tiny tempests,
I've been pleading, even prayed (though out of practice) for more words,
But your words, only your voice! Which has me falling into tension,
And godsent, glorious tension ensues from your stark frequencies.
Rejoice, I do now rejoice and it feels like for the first time,
Surely not? And you can't know but I just cried for our distant meeting,
It is as though a veil is lifted, a dam destroyed, a collapsed ceiling?
But now a fear, such a quiet terror that I may not hear you again.

dancing in the kitchen
in pajamas
Jazz on while
the third downpour before
the end of the year
strips the buckeye of all its yellowed leaves
As
a well watered body
worked with the waves
and the strange freshness
of just a little water up the nose
throwing your hair
when tea sounds like the best idea during a storm
And finding your favorite cup in front after opening the cupboards
As
planetary bounty saying
“It’s your turn”
It’s when
all the kings unite
and rejoice for poppies in full bloom
Innocent, and dangerous
Oui, je m’aime
Oui, moi même,
en fait…

I lift up my thoughts
I lift up my voice
I see so much
That makes me rejoice
The sky - the trees
The food on my plate
The freedom I know
To choose my fate
The air I breathe
My mind - my choice
I see every day
As cause to rejoice

Nationally we rejoice at the drop of the sun,
Sending explosives that dazzle the skies in parotic hues,
Silenced are the fears of the weary who cower in the corners of oppression and differential treatment,
Misjudged are the BIPOC who do not mirror the sentiments of the majority,
Forgotten are the fallen who lie in unmarked tombless foregrounds, Be cautious of the realities faced by the neighbors hidden in solitude, Be mindful of the friends who decide to stay indoors,
Be compassionate for our nation is hurting,
Though mass media may have muffled their cries,
Their lived experiences echo at an amplitude regarded by the awakened.

Free of fears, free of tears
I wander freely
And happily rejoice with materialistic things
Gleefully denying the fact
That death doesn't rejoice with me

Can we celebrate, do we have that choice,
to fight against sour momentum and rejoice?
Of course we do - there've been vaccine changes,
hope hangs like fragrance, so let’s be courageous.
Forget anger, forgive old grudges and stop tiring judgments,
catch those old phantoms in the open and sever the attachments.
Stop, drop and roll - this year necessitated endurance -
be honest and transparent, tell children and inform parents:
This year’s celebration will need to be realistic -
but Christmas '21 we’re goin’ BALLISTIC!

I am stuck in the trappings of poetry.
I have an exam to answer at 8 am.
I read and rejoice.
But I am sure
that I'll be overwhelmed
by regret in the morning.

As this day rains tears amongst his family and friends
This very same day your precious daddy’s eternal life begins
To know him was to love him he’s left so many memories of a great man behind
A man of God , A great father and grandfather, a loving husband , and to all he knew , so generous and kind
Life holds no promise as to when the Good Lord says it’s our time to go
Cherish every second you are given for you never know
“Don’t cry tears of sadness for me as you lay me to rest, be at peace and rejoice for me for as I walked through the gates of heaven down the streets made of Gold my pain was gone no worries in my head as The Lord placed beautiful wings on my shoulders and a halo above my head. Now I can still watch over each of you until we meet again one day
You may not can see me but I’m never far away. “
As you gather around my grave don’t say your last goodbye, say i will see you later before you turn to walk away,
Let my passing be instead a reminder of how precious life is because we never no if today will be your last day.

The New Moon sits in the sky, a new hope
The wolf doth cry out with his song of rejoice
"Life is such a wonderful choice!!"
Filled with hope, the wolf dances and plays
Basking in the new moon's wonderful rays
Calming and soothing is her song
As the wolf listens, he sees nothing wrong
The moon continues to sing, letting the sound ring
Falls into a deep slumber does the wolf, waiting for the next to be sung

Often we assume we have understood the fullness of God’s profundity
When in fact, only a smidgen of His glory is what we see
Although the full glory of God is something we cannot fully comprehend,
Through His word, little by little He helps us to understand
The glory of the Lord is revealed through His inexhaustible provision,
This can be seen from how He constantly provided for Israel from its inception
God lovingly provides us with many things to meet our physical needs
But beyond that, He gives His word to meet the spiritual needs of those who seek
The glory of God is revealed through His power and protection,
An example is how He went before the Israelites and gave them direction
His glory is also revealed through His promises and His presence,
If only we would use our senses to see and listen with reverence
God provides us with senses to catch glimpses of His immeasurable glory,
From sight to hearing He helps us to behold His glory personally
The gift of senses is to be used to recognise God beyond the external appearances,
For only when our spiritual senses are awakened can we sense His presence
Our challenge is to recognise the presence of God and His glory,
To constantly seek and serve the Lord with humility
Let us be encouraged to sing, declare and proclaim the glory of the Lord,
And strive to be faithful believers and servants of God!

Let the flow of wealth surround me
Fill my heart with love and peace
Let the energy more freely
Flow through me and never cease
Flow with vibrant love and wisdom
Flow with all I ever need
Flow with harmony and friendship
Flow til I feel ever free
Let the sounds of wealth keep ringing
Let my words run clean and strong
Let my cells rejoice in singing
With this happy wealthy song
Flow with vibrant love and wisdom
Flow with all I ever need
Flow with harmony and friendship
Flow til I feel ever free
Let the streams of wealth flow to me
Let me share this flow with you
Let my mind see ever clearly
All the tasks which I can do
Flow with vibrant love and wisdom
Flow with all I ever need
Flow with harmony and friendship
Flow til I feel ever free
Let the feel of wealth stay near me
Give me confidence to dream
Let me resonate so dearly
With God's never ending stream
Flow with vibrant love and wisdom
Flow with all I ever need
Flow with harmony and friendship
Flow til I feel ever free
Let the truth of wealth fulfill me
As I seek the higher way
Sharing love with friends and family
Counting blessings every day
Flow with vibrant love and wisdom
Flow with all I ever need
Flow with harmony and friendship
Flow til I feel ever free

We are the rejoiceful few,
when broken down, we rose anew.
Our bitter hearts we threw away,
and fed them to our wallflower days.
Beneath the weight of hurt we bent,
and tempered every sweeping wind.
And when our time for vengeance came,
we loved our enemies all the same.

A new year begins, with hectic schedules every day,
Anxieties overwhelm us- in school; work; in every possible way
Often we tend to focus solely on the challenging and stressful circumstances,
Forgetting the power and the promises of God, which can help us
Our doubts and tough circumstances may come from the powers and principalities of the evil world,
The spiritual war we face each and every day- between spirit and flesh; we may feel we are in a whirl
The evil one tries to make us doubt God’s love and provision during the trying times;
To counter it, we must have our eyes fixed on Christ to be comforted that His love is sublime
When we come before God to acknowledge our weaknesses and inability to stand by our own strength,
Through His mercy, we are beholden to His love and grace which comforts our soul when we get tense
When countless worries come, we must render these known to God in prayer;
His comforting presence reminds us that He cares and that He shall take away all our doubts and fears
Challenges and anxieties from the world can afflict a believer and cause him to go astray,
But if we exercise our faith through prayer, God will help make these anxieties go away
“My child, for all those times when you were full of anxiety and fear,
It was I, who pulled you through; I’ve always been near.”

"I love you."
Those three words didn't mean a thing.
I thought we were meant to be,
But I guess it was just a fling.
There's a wall around my heart, stopping me from crying,
But there's something inside of me
That feels like it's dying.
You were everything I needed, cared for.
I chose you, but now my heart is sore.
You will never realize that you were my best friend too,
But believe me when I say this,
I really did love you.
