#patriachy
injustice has become the affirmation.
hesitation, passed down to each generation.
oblivious to how this is a cause of our own transgression; through temptation.
misleading us to our own damnation.

Tight the way I like,
the chains of your fantasy,
in which you're the king.
Built on illusions,
the fort of patriarchy,
empty without me.

I tire of this Patriarchy
The footpaths, The Guidelines
The strict Dogma, The misogynistic guise
I tire of these Sins
The evil manipulation, The father of my fathers
The pleasure of power, The hearts swollen with hate
I tire of this Psychological Harem
The predestination, The pain of letting things go
The image staring back at me, The toxic masculinity

When the sun shines
i am nothing but beautiful
When the raindrops kiss my face
i am weak
When the heavens are torn open
i wait. Silent
When they burst and lash out with furios flashes of fire and thunder
I am tempestuous
unfair
unfeminine
You say you love every part of me
but on my worst day
i am solitary
On my best,
i am yours
When i love you
i am inadequate
When you abuse me
i am woman

how is it that my sins
are heavier than thine?
and
how is it that the finest wine
is always served with yours?
how is it that my work
does not withstand the test of time,
yet
all your treasures come from crime,
with mischief and a smirk?
how is it that you've built
your monuments on stolen ground?
yet
I can't own even my burial mound?
how is it that you feel no guilt?
how is it that you've shed no blood,
yet claim triumph all year round?
and
how is it that your brow never found
a single drop of sweat in the mud?
how is it that you stand so proud?
